They are kept secret to not TERRIFY the citizens of teyvat. Only those who have been attacked know about them because of Nahida's ability to wipe memories with irminsul. 4. The population of demons are kept extremely small because of the Hashira. There are very few demons to begin with. Muzan wouldn't be the king of demons, and more the oldest surviving demon who has seen everything, including the archon war and khanriah. 5. Nahida chose Muichiro because of his experience, and the fact that he subdued and killed the demon who attacked him without training or a special sword. 6. Muichiro has been with the Hashira since he left gandarvaville the first time. That's when nahida recruited him. She also had the aranara drop him off there when she first found him because she knew tighnari could save him. 7. He deadass forgets he's a Hashira, and what demons are, until he sees a demon. It's like a memory trigger. He suppresses it because of the trauma. His bird is a gift from nahida and there to bring him to Hashira meetings because he forgets if the bird doesn't remind him. 8. The increased activity of demons is a coincidence, but nahida is forced to tell Cyno and other proficient fighters about them right before the battle in the infinity castle because they need all hands on deck. 9. Muichiro is still a descendant of upper 1 in this AU, except it's like... thousands of years ago. He did get a strength boost from the traces of forbidden knowledge in his veins. That's also why nahida never fixed his amnesia, just to make sure she didn't awaken any dormant knowledge. ANYWAY THATS THE AU IDEAS I HAVE. Btw, I don’t know how the whole swordsmith village arc plays out, but you could play it like this: Mui uses a special sword that he developed and worked on for the 2 years he’s been at the Academia that can actually kill the demons (when a demon is decapitated with it, then the demon will finally die), and then after showing them him killing the water bucket demon, show him throwing it to Tanjiro/Aether, to show (again) how their relationship/friendship has improved. You could also maybe show them the light in his eyes and explain that after facing the water bucket demon, he has overcome his trauma (in regards to demons) and will now be able to remember things better/“overcoming his trauma has allowed him to move on with his life” I don’t actually know if Mui has a better memory after the swordsmithh village arc/fight, so this is all personal speculation/ideas for this AU Have a great day either way, and thanks for making this awesome video!

The one thing I didn’t really like was that the other Genshin characters were demon slayer characters as well. It would’ve been more interesting for them to react to how new people made him open up more (Tanjiro, Nezuko, etc) and I kind wished there was something that said that Genshin characyers would be ds characters in the beginning Otherwise, great video :D
