Haha I just stumbled onto this video. It was great meeting you at that tournament Leo!! I still remember trying to return your serve at the end of the day, after you were done with matches. Not easy... 😅
Very well done. I know both players that you had played against, Eliel and Alex. In fact, I just played against Alex at the US National in Vegas, he beat me badly, he is too good. After the trip from Vegas I have decided to switch my backhand to long pips (because most players are too fast for me). I am watching your videos to learn how to handle the incoming topspin to the backhand
@@LeonardoArata Hope you are doing well. After a year and half playing with long pips on the backhand my rating jumps 234 points (US rating 1874). First I started with long pips 1mm sponge but I have decided to switch to OX about 6 months ago (dTec Grass). For some reasons after switched to long pips backhand my forehand got better, I think because I focus topspin more on my forehand. I am still learning how to use pips but I think I can get a lot better if I can do "punch" shots like you do. I also watched Manika Batra and learned that she is also twiddling. I have tried but it is little tricky. Thanks
Leonardo and Manika Batra are the two players I follow too for my lp. Similar to you my rating has jumped 450 points to 1600. Manika's techniques are hard due to twiddling but Leo keeps it simple - LP to set up and strong FH to finish off and has a very impressive style. More than increase in points playing with pips is so much fun! Enjoy!!
I used to play lp ox also almost the same as your style and watching you makes me miss playing lp ox again. Can you share your exact setup? One day I might consider playing with lp ox again. :)
why not lp 2.1 or something! chop and make float balls , using not only chop, but also side punch far from the table. kinda like ruwen filus. but with thick sponge lp, you can make crazy sailing balls out of nowhere, but its very difficult yo do it right
I use a lot of different matterials, but my actual setup is: Blade: Dr. Neubauer Matador Texa Carbon Forehand: Friendship 729 Battle 2 blue sponge Backhand: Dr. Neubauer Trouble Maker Ox
Excelente pergunta Bruno!
You are a very good athlete, I also use Long Pips. I'm from Vietnam, nice to meet you
Thank you! Nice to meet you too Sir!
Nice! Loved the angles on these games. Your touch is so good with those pips
Your foot work is incredible. Super fast.

Sorry for the delay to answer your comment, how is it going with the long pips now? Are you still playing with? Share some thoughts with me!

Do a video with your serves. They appear to be super spiny based on your action.
Has anyone ever suggested trying to keep your bat high during reset ? It’s the only critical suggestion I could make .
What is your blade mr.leo
Have u tried 0.6mm and 1.0mm before?
Yes I did, but for my gameplay I think Ox is way better.
Oi Leo, o que você achou do nível de jogo dos americanos em relação ao Brasil ?
