I can relate to this song. I am in love with a person that I've created. Sort of an "imaginary friend", if you will. Sometimes I dream of this person. But I know I will never meet them in real life. And now I am so far into this fantasy life that I've created that nobody else will satisfy me. So it makes me think that I'll be forever alone, with my "selene", my dream lover. Although, he is a guy, and I am a girl. I feel like he is more real to me than the people around me that exist, because he exists in my heart. That's why I can't let him go, and I wish every night that he would come to life. And sometimes he does, in my dreams... Then I wake up and realise that it was just a dream and he's not here...
