- You can Now Play PS5 PS4 and PS3 games on your PC or Laptop using Playstation Plus For PC and it's pretty awesome! In this video, we take look at PlayStation plus premium for pc running on a low-end Walmart laptop and a low-end inexpensive mini pc and basically turn them into PlayStations! It works best using ethernet and you can use a third-party or Xbox controller to play these awesome PlayStation games streaming to your PC. it looks like sony is competing with Microsoft's Xbox game streaming game pass so this is probably going to get much better.

There are kids whose parents won't let them get a console, not even about the money, strict or religious households that want kids to study.....game streaming is discreet enough. lol
@@kninezbanks If there are households where consoles are not allowed. How would they get a premium PS Plus Membership to play these games? It is not like they can go to their parents to use their credit or debit card.
@@rmt74358 It's about discretion, It's easier to hide a username and password in your room that can be searched, than to hide an entire console......It's only $10 a month, allowance money, I'm talking about kids as young as maybe 13 to 17, all it takes is giving the cash to their gamer friend at school, who can pay with their parents credit card......in return, a username and password that can be logged in and out at moments notice. It's not that complicated.
6:00 Just a quick side note for people enjoying Spiderman on PC: The Miles Morales animations were ported to Spiderman Remastered via a mod on nexus mods.
Miles Morales coming to pc
So glad I can finally play Spiderman on PC. I ditched ALL of my consoles because I am moving over seas. I only kept my laptop and an XBOX ONE controller.
@ETA Prime Yes you can control the PlayStation Plus+ UI menu with a controller. Just click the button up at the top of the PS Plus+ UI menu, (icon looks like a Tv screen and an arrow) with your mouse, then the controller will become active to select your games.
Nice!
This will be the future for a lot of people, once our internet gets better, we will be able to play games through the clouds on our phones or cheap laptops. It won't replace how we play today but it will be a new way for those who don't have money or can't get a console.
It will absolutely replace how we play. It's just that these streaming services are so sub par that you don't see it yet.
This is so dumb, You need the most expensive PS plus subscription. Why are you putting so much emphasis on the kind of hardware you are using? Its irrelevant, its just game streaming so as long as you can connect to the internet you can use this. Why do I nitpick like this? Because its borderline dishonest! All that matters is the connection quality and the latency. Since its actually running on Sony's servers the games are still limited in performance to what the PS4 can do Which means games that run at 30 FPS and have stutters on Sony's console will still have those performance issues. None of this was brought up which was actually important information.
Love the video and the Megazord figure also. Cheers :)
I was wondering when someone would notice that :D
Will finally play remastered crash bandicoot games on my low end laptop. Thank you for this tip
I've just never been one for game streaming, I want the game running natively on my hardware.
Me too
For the moment (and maybe for a long time), cloud gaming will be secondary, although it is starting to be usable on a daily basis.
agreed, it's the crappy stereo sound you get out of game streaming that i cant stand.
That's what everyone 'wants'. But I can't carry my PS5 on the subway...

They don't have this in Australia... as per usual.
would be interested in a deep dive into the controller options, which perform better, do you need that PS dongle for better response or is the lag of each controller the same no matter how it is connected or what type of controller is connected.
In general at least on PC side can't answer to the Playstation app Xbox controllers generally work better with PC than others because Xbox controllers use Xinput which Windows can recognize and understand whereas Sony and Switch controllers use D-input(I think switch does anyway) which Windows isn't able to read on its own.
Those dongles make windows able to understand it allowing you to use them wirelessly. I imagine specifically for this Playstation app a Sony controller with an adapter would be the best but for general use and other apps I would go Xbox no adapter needed although using an adapter will slightly reduce input lag.
Edit: Sorry missed one of your questions. For controller connections Bluetooth is usually the slowest(ie most input lag) but many controllers can connect this way(This method will work for the Xbox controller and doesn't require an adapter its how he did it in the video) Then the next faster way is using a dongle.(which transmits in 2.4ghz except those Xbox specific dongles more on them later) This method has less input lag than Bluetooth and is what will allow you to use Sony controllers wirelessly.
Finally the method with the least input lag(though it's not really noticeable these days imo) is plugging the controller in directly.
As for what I was saying earlier about the Xbox controller Microsoft makes a dongle specifically for their controller that uses some proprietary technology that's faster than the normal dongle method and allows for multiple controllers to be connected simultaneously...most dongles I know of don't let you connect multiple controllers to it.
ok, but where did the Playstation App come from on your PC? It's not in the Microsoft Store.....Your tutorial is kinda missing a crucial step.
save states. can you save anywhere, anytime?
really like the new intro music
can you play with people who have a ps5 console?
In my experience, using a PS4 controller over bluetooth with PC is a horrible experience. Tons of dropped inputs and delay. It's actually unusable. The dongle probably fixes that.
I thought this was fake, but seen it was uploaded by PRIME, so I’ll watch it! 😅
That's so cool i didnt know they made something like this i dont have a ps4 controller though will a cheap gamepad work?
Any dualshock controller works fine. If you have an xbox360 or newer controller works perfect too. Only some ps4-games take advantage of the touchpad from the ps4-controller but they work even with other controllers.

Why the heck doesn't Sony have a PS Plus tier for PC owners so we don't have to borrow accounts from other family members??

If you are thinking about streaming games perhaps try Geforce now which is free on PC to see how your internet connection handles gameplay before you sub to the most expensive PS plus tier. I've been cloud gaming on the Nvidia Geforce Now platform ever since it was in beta (and most of my game library consists of the free weekly releases on Epic Games 🤫, which usually are compatible with Geforce Now). As a dad with 2 kids to raise, among other financial priorities... being frugal and having the ability to play high spec games on my underpowered PC, TV or phone is incredible, with the option of upgrading my PC in the future, since I actually "own" the games. PS Now is very attractive as well... I never owned a PS past PS3, so there are many titles I have not experienced and don't have the budget for a PS5. This could be the ticket!
Your video title is widely inaccurate.
It is only providing cloud games from ps4 pro consoles and below. No ps5 or ps5 exclusives on this streaming service. The PS5 games are only available on the physical ps5 (games like Returnal & Demon souls) not on PC
By looking at the title i thought that sony just ported all of their games from ps3 up to ps5 to pc and u can play them if you buy ps plus. But its just cloud gaming so.. yeah.. i dont think cloud gaming is good unless someone is fine with the lag input and weird artifacts that appear randomly. Or either you have extremely good internet connection and you have money to pay for it but you can't get the physical console for unknown reason.
Yeah I got excited AF to play my PS5 games on my PC. Turns out no PS5 games and it’s only cloud based. Playing with my excitement like that T..T
The biggest issue I have is that streaming to PC from the old PSNow was 10 bucks a month. Now It is 18 bucks a month and you really can't take any of the other advantages of PS Plus Premium outside of streaming games on PC from what I know if you don't have a PS4/5. They need a PC only tier that is like 13 bucks. Basically you can't log in into from a PS4/5, but log into a PC so you can stream games.
there's a risk of people not buying PlayStations anymore so I doubt that they'll add a pc tier
@@Vishall- I doubt that honestly. Not a ton of people want to stream their games and most PS5 games wouldn't even be on the service til much later. Most of the games on their service have been around for over a year. You might say well if not a ton of people might not want to stream their games, what is the point of a PC only tier, simple, the infrastructure is already there to do so. It shouldn't be that difficult in turn to see what kind of system would be logging into PS Plus. Meaning that they would get some PC players to buy into their service at little cost. I was one of those subs. I didn't own a PS4, but used PSNow to play PS3/4 games. What they can do is do a streaming only service where you don't have the extra stuff like getting games, but you can stream from a PS5/4 and PC, basically PSNow, but make it a tier.
yearly subscrision ps plus premium is 11 bucks for month
Spider-Man was unplayable for me without a PS4 controller once you finish the tutorial and need to hit the trackpad to level up. No way to remap the trackpad button in options :/
That DS4 emulator software will enable you to use trackpad features in PS Plus by holding down the "view button" and then clicking in the right analog stick (or flicking it sideways).
What specific "PS5" games that aren't PS4 are available on here? The title says PS5 yet the video doesn't say PS5 a single time, just always "playstation, psp, ps3, and ps4!" stopping short of saying PS5 every.single.time...
...so which one(s) is it that cannot be played natively on a PS4 disc already???
can i play gta online with ps plus premium
but using pc?
Did it work?
ETA is a Microsoft guy and his wife is a PlayStation girl. Well, at least SHE has good taste! lol!!!!
The bad thing is that Ps Now was only $9.99 for PC while that same game library is now $17.99 on PC.
So mentioning ps5 games in the description and title of the video is somewhat of a clickbait. At best you can play ps4 versions of games that also got released on ps5 even if they were released for both platforms at the same time.
It works well, I use it weekly and I recommend it on low to mid-range computers.
We ain't trustin u , u use it weekly , we ain't trustin anyone that uses daily
Any input lag for this service?
I'm no expert, but if you have good speed there is usually no, I've played MK11 about 60 hours of gameplay and I can even end the game.
If I’m playing console versions on PC it’s a waste of my time you go on Xbox you’ll see they have PC versions not console versions if it doesn’t give you another achievement set that means your playing the console version on PC
I tried running this but the lag was really bad even on my 500Mbit/s down wired connection. Emulation is the way to go for PS3 games and for PS4/PS5 games you'll have to run them natively to get a good enough experience for me
For PS3 games I think RPCS3 is best.
Btw you cannot play ps5 games/ games with ps5 hardware benefits (like ray tracing or 60 fps 4k) on their streaming app. You can’t even get the ps4 pro hardware benefits
Brazil now have XCloud and Geforce now, PlayStation Plus streaming must have come to Brazil 🇧🇷🙏🏻

Hopefully Sony makes an android app for this

I hope an android app so that my phone with 2020 flagship chipset will be enjoyable rather than playing only mobile legends and codm
It would be awesome
I'm sure they will only matter of time. Game pass is on mobile and they would be left behind if they didn't. Can't have that at Sony lol
In away you can already use this App on your phone/tablet.
But yes it would be great if they roll out a flushed out Web App and a Optimized Phone app.
You should've mentioned it is heavily region-limited.
and I believe that using a vpn would make it lag a lot
@@greatMomiz yeah probably

Can you get more than 60 fps on the app? If u have a high end pc
Nice feature but until it lets you natively install its a hard pass for me. Streaming is not possible for me as there is just way too much input lag.
Scam scam scam. This whole video says all you need is ps plus but you also have to pay for cloud service and it doesn't let you play ps5 games and to top it off EVERY GAME IS IN 720p... SCAM
Would be nice if we can download Sony games that have come out on PC, game pass is better in that aspect.
A good note is it would also be a good idea to get a newer blu tooth usb hub if youre going controllers wirelessly vs wired most controllers work 100% of the time wired but, wireless comes with its difficulties. There usually under 20 bucks.
If sony allows this facility for PS Vita itself … then ps vita becomes a legend … since its only streaming and there is just an app to be allowed to install to Vita that makes hell 🤩
It use to be on vita a while ago when it was still ps now but they quit supporting it sadly
Using an Xbox controller for Ps4 games on pc...
Interesting.
That's pretty neat!
The Megazord was a nice touch too. 🙃🙂
Plug in a PlayStation 4 or 5 Controller via USB on PC and controller is absolutely supported in Navigation Menu
or just use X-input Controller with its own key maps - however even over ethernet resolution/fidelity is way down compared to playing native PS5 connected - have tried running side by side on super ultra-widescreen Samsung Odessey G9 and difference is Night and Day especially on Spiderman - and Sony really need to bring streaming to Android to truly compete with XBox Game Pass
Need a Steam deck set up ASAP
Playstation plus and Xbox game pass on steam deck is amazing.
It will not let me play anything even though I have PS plus.
I've used PS Now on my computer a little while back and my ps4 controller fully worked either wired or wireless at the time, which I find it odd. Why does it only work with USB on the PS Plus unless you have a adapter?
It has always worked wirelessly without adapter. But you can't use the track pad on the PS4 controller. So in games Wich has pause or map on the track pad. You have to be wired or use the adapter to be bale to use the trackpad. But on ps 1-3 games you can do wireless without adapter and all buttons work there.
I find it really stupid that they made ps now on PC and then the PS4 controller don't work for ps4 -5 games. It should honestly work with any controller, specially with Sonys controllers..
But i used a program called ds4windows to get the PS4 controller to work wireless. Maybe that's why I couldn't use the trackpad. How did you connect your PS4 controller? Just via bluetooth? No extra steps or programs?
That’s really odd, I could not get mine working wirelessly, maybe a firmware update for the controller would help?
Could be it if that was an older controller. You can hold the share and PS button to pair via Bluetooth, I know that for sure. If that's not the case, I was also using reWASD to make my pc to see my DualSense as a DS4 which may cause the app to think it's connected with adapter or USB. Either way I was able to use the touch pad on Bloodborne since I can't access some menus without it.
I wanna say I'm extremally sorry for any confusion I made. I just got myself a DS4 controller to replace the one I don't have anymore just to confirm and turned out it was the program I was using called reWASD, as I mentioned earlier, did made PS Plus think it was wired connection. It is super easy to use and 7 days free trial to try before paying $7 for lifetime. So again I'm so very sorry for the confusion I caused.

What is the resolution like? Can I set it manually? Does it keep a constant 1080p or is it a variable res situation? Can I go beyond 1080p? Thanx for the video!
It's streaming so I don't think it's good to raise the resolution. The higher the resolution, the more internet you use. If would suggest using lossless scaling application that way you don't kill so much data.
@@100Bucks Ok.....if I have the data, I should able to use it, it's 2022 give me a higher resolution please. Or at least ensure 1080p. That is the average for pc gaming. If a product cannot provide this very simple thing, then, i will not use it. I game on pc obviously, so I will just use literally any other service.
@@MisterWoes You have to ignore how powerful your PC is. This isn't gaming directly off your PC, this is remote play streaming. I will use UA-cam as an example. If you watch nothing but 4k videos off UA-cam (only 4k) This kills your internet very quickly. That's why it's best to watch UA-cam at 360p minimum to save as much internet as possible. If you have unlimited internet, then you can play all your PS5 (streaming) in 4k. Use minimum resolution as possible to make your internet last longer without a huge bill. I learned this the hard way with parsec streaming. I left the resolution on 4k. That's a lot of data. Now I keep my resolution on 720p minimum whenever I use parsec. The lower the resolution the longer the internet last. Keep watching UA-cam at 360p.
@@100Bucks That's fine. I disagree with you respectfully. But you saying you prefer to watch UA-cam @ 360p is crazy. You are on some sort of metered connection. Like a pay per byte sorta thing. In that case it is obvious we are going to have 2 completely different opinions on this. I pay for a certain internet speed with no data cap. At least that's the agreement with the ISP. So yeah, save what ever data you can bro. Good luck w/ PS+ on PC if you ever use it.
@@MisterWoes No I don't like watching UA-cam at 360p but if that's what it takes to extend the life of my monthly internet bill so be it. On a cellphone 360p is the default resolution anyway unless you change it yourself. It also says the same thing that I commented. If you make resolution changes. (The higher the resolution the more data) it says it right there on the cellphone.

Sadly we will have to much lag to use these services. The PS Plus is a little more than the xbox game pass but if you take it for 12 months it's not a bad price. I am not much of an action gamer. I prefer games like final fantasy or chrono cross or diablo. I am more a casual games so the ps makes more sense for me. Only think i am worried about is lag and i only have a 100mbps internet line.

Hello, I have 2 questions...
I saw an app which wasn't Play Station Plus, it was another one but I can't remember the name. In that app (for PC) you could play your games, but that program designed by PSN worked only in certain regions (not here in Mexico for example).
My questions are: Does that program have the same limitation? What are the differences between these 2 apps/programs?
Edit: I think the other app/program was Playstation Remote play
Could this work well on a raspberry pie 4?. Thanks for testing the playstation streaming. Was curious how it works.
Can we play god of war Ragnarok using this method??
I'm curious how sony is doing the ps3 streaming, I highly doubt they are using actual ps3 hardware at this point in time, they must be doing some sort of emulation.
Probably hardware emu
So you telling me I need to buy a gaming PC. 2 controllers and xbox and ps subscription and I will be able to play any game available there?

Very interesting. Buying a gaming laptop just to feel that you are lagging behind the demanding specs is really frustrating. Now this is something to seriously consider.
So this is like having a ps5 but with no console?
Always love your on-hands videos. I have researched that various Linux OS flavors does a better job with gaming peformance, even with low end CPU/Memory/Video specifications on PCs/Laptops. Would love to see a video with your evaluation of a Linux OS and PC platform with using the Playstation Plus software.

Good for non fps games
Try parsec before you jump to this, it's free. You can't pick what you wanna play, only what is hosted at the moment. No you won't play PS5 games but it could hold you over to save up for a PS5. Keep saving for PS5 while playing games through parsec. Smash bros ultimate is always guaranteed to be played on parsec.
