I don't care about the g# or f# or y# or z#, I don't care about the falsetto or pharyngeal or other... For me this Matt's sound is just a pure ecstasy 😵🌋🎆✨😍
It's funny to me that when people show Matt's high notes in Micro Cuts they always use the chorus (G5), and not the bridge, where the highest note is (G#5).
There's a Reason for that, the G5 in Micro Cuts sounds higher than the G#5 because the G5 Came with a Higher Resonance, and also the G5 is much more Squeeze in an "I" vowel kind of sound which makes sound higher than an "u" sound vowel like the G#5 830hz on Micro Cuts, also explaining about the G5 sounding higher, as Micro Cuts on voice Goes all way from D4 to G5 in Chorus this gives much more power and stamina to hit the G5 last note with Max Resonance, at least I feel like that when I sing Micro Cuts.
This is incorrect. Matt is singing in head voice with an occasional pronounced pharyngeal tone. The pharyngeal voice is caused by a narrowing of the epilaryngal tube above the vocal folds. It affects vocal resonance and is NOT a register. So it's not a combination of chest voice and falsetto. The pharyngeal voice can be applied to any vocal register. Apparently 62 people were impressed by the word "pharengeal", which you spelled wrong, and a detailed description that is almost entirely wrong.
I think I'll agree with this one. its "that" thing I cant express(cuz i dont know the term) why radiohead and Muse are not alike in terms of their vocal styles. thom just sings a common "falsetto" while matt is like something "charging then blew it out" that was coming from his chest.
@SaintUdnitz - wrong #1: pharyngeal is NOT a combination of falsetto and chest voice. Its a contraction of the pharynx using the pharyngeal musculature. wrong #2: Falsetto is NOT a pressed, tensioned high voice. In fact its the total opposite of that. wrong #3: falsetto is NOT a voice. Its is a vocal mode like sob, fry and distortion wrong #4: pharyngeal is not hard to create or control. its simply a flexing of the muscles in the pharynx and is quite is to do.
I know its an old comment but a very arrogant one, so in light of that..........www.voices.com/blog/pharyngeal-voice/ Since Herbert-Caesari defined it and not you then its a pharyngeal voice that is brought on by using the pharyngeal muscles to expand the sound of a falsetto and boost it. Its so you don't have to settle on a falsetto but can change a falsetto from being weak to a much stronger sound, its pulling power out of a falsetto, which you cannot do unless it is mixed with a voice itself. Most choose to use the chest voice to mix it with instead of the head voice. But like it or not a voice has to be mixed with it otherwise you hear nothing, can't get sound out of vocal cords that aren't moving, which tells you its mixed with a voice itself. So contract the pharyngeal muscles to control 3 areas (one of which is used to produce a falsetto hence why it is mixed) using a falsetto and leaving the larynx in a neutral position so you can add a voice to it to produce what sounds like a much more powerful falsetto aka pharyngeal voice. Please tell me you aren't teaching people that, because you are confusing them if you are. Because the pharynx IS A COMBINATION OF 3 AREAS NASOPHARYNX, OROPHARYNX AND LARYNGOPHARYNX AND NONE OF THOSE ARE MUSCLES. I AM WITH YOU ON USING THE MUSCLES THAT CONTROL THOSE AREAS BUT THE AREAS STILL EXIST AND ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR PRODUCING THAT KIND OF SOUND FROM A FALSETTO. The video is also right because HE SAID IN THE DESCRIPTION IT WAS NOT A FALSETTO. It sucks to be wrong, it also sucks even more when someone who is suppose to know that kind of information completely ignores it and then contradicts others because they want to be right and confusing others in the process. Doing it that smugly is why you are being talked down to, don't like it then don't do it to others.
Totalsinging Falsetto is Not Voice??? Well From the 1.000 People I heard Singing Muse Covers None had Matthew Falsetto Timbre/Voice, Matthew Falsetto is like very full body, Not Aired at all, At Least Not Aired at all when he was Young and Falsetto was in Original Phase, Believe me or Not I'm the only one who has Matthew Falsetto, if want proof I can give, anyways I think maybe I saw 2 guys with Matthew Falsetto, I think Both from Indonesia, like one video called Muse Bliss Cover Indonesia, Guy dressed like Matt and Red Hair, video from like 14 years ago or more and another more recent also from Indonesia or south Asian island's, that's it, From the 100 thousands singers I ever heard on radio, tv, or internet I don't think anyone had Matt's Falsetto, with exception of the 2 guys covering Muse that I cited.
@SaintUdnitz Since you apparently know very well of this stuff, could you explain me how to create that sound? Could you tell me how to use that technique? I'm looking for that sound for ages....
I cant believe I couldn't hear the backing vocals in Uprising before. They should have had him sing them in the final chorus as the main vocals.

The G5's in the chorus are way harder to sing because of what proceeds it.
Matt is fucking amazing, beast
The best new born falseto at glastonbury 2004

@SaintUdnitz Actually, you're wrong, it is falsetto, unfortunatly, because it would be amazing if he did pharengeal tones.
Shrinking universe, Fury, Showbiz.. best and chilling
P.S at 9 megalomia.. good old spiderdom haha
@JapaneseModernist - you're both wrong. Its not falsetto but light head voice with some pharyngeal contraction.
Megalomania *faints*
Завидую т.т
i'm pretty sure showbiz has the highest note... its a G#
Megolamania is higher I think. But you wrote this comment 7 years ago,so you may not be able to see this.Let me know if you do tho:)
No you were right.Showbiz is the highest.Micro cuts, Megolamania (backing vocals) etc. are generally G or lower.
Supremacy??
10 years ago obove this video was upload
@@perezmartinezangelrafael8460 Oh i see. Supremacy was made in 2012. Thank you for reminding me
@JapaneseModernist NO IT'S NOT
@SaintUdnitz so how do u control it and how do you use it?
the picture at 1:19 makes it look like Chris is bald
i fucking hate that they have f# to g# in there as i can reach an f but anything higher is just fucking painful :(
isnt it head voice, not pharyngeal?
