Sorry that u have also noticed some negative life aspects here mostly having to do with government. Again, just accurate. But the most u will have plenty of in this country is the love u will feel from almost everyone u meet. That's our nature which u will not find in any other culture wherever else u still would like to go. Filipinos will love and protect you coz u are a very lovable couple.
Same for my in laws who live in France..they prefer to go in a hot country like Philippines during winter or other hot countries…but they can’t live long in Phil in terms of health hospitalisation except maybe where hospital is accessible or near big cities,hoping one day there will be big hospitals in siargao or other provinces ✌🏻🇫🇷
I hope you should also try the northern part of the Philippines. A completely different view of the Philippines. If you think our country is just about beautiful beaches, you'll find something different there. You can check Baguio, Sagada, and other places there. Bring your winter clothes

You guys should try the Mt Pinatubo adventure (Hiking), Sand Dunes adventure, try to visit the Filipino Heritage houses in Vigan and the Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar in Bataan, the hundred Islands in Pamapangga, Dakak beach in Zamboanga, Kaparkan Falls in Abra, and many more.
You are gracious in things you find shocking like litters everywhere, stray dogs and stuffs. I can't forget how a couple of Nigerian vloggers are condescending at things like how not fluent Filipinos are in English because they say we advertise we are fluent--of course advertising has to be the positive and nothing shocking if Filipinos are not fluent. In astray dogs, they say in Nigeria it isn't allowed--it shouldn't sound which is worse. In tricycles you are like a dog. Beggars are too many and poor people in Nigeria are somehow helped by the government. You even say Philippines will change. Thanks a lot. We travel to enjoy and not to look down on things and suggest our country is better. Generally Nigerians though are really awesome.

I think the new Philippines government is now committed to improve the infrastructures. It’s just some sectors are still in old mindset that affects the speedy transformation into modern system of infras to at least accommodate visitors like you guys. We need you guys in Philippines.
Hope your family had a wonderful time. That seems a good travel/living balance to go to the Philippines during Winter months and then back to Sweden again and do a seasonal back and forth. Manila is beautiful during Christmas season all the lights and Christmas displays in the Malls is just so festive and all the Christmas food and bazaars if you consider going there again 🎄

Hi Johan & Emy, this is just a suggestion but I reckon its going to be too far for you both to travel North of Philippines but you will enjoy it up there. You may search it online like the Vigan Ilocos region, Baguio, Rice terraces, Sagada but since its the rainy season, I guess planniing your trip is wise searching with it. And if travel further south, seek the security travel going down there. Southern Philippines has part that has security problems but not telling it is not safe to travel there. I just want you both to be safe all the time during your travel. Wishing a safe flight to your fam. Thank you!

Include surftown San Juan, La Union ("LU" or "Elyu") in your bucket list and make sure to check out El Union coffee when you get there. It's one of the best places to taste world class Pinoy coffee. We had lived in Finland for more than 7 years and goin to viking ship to sweden back and fort. Yes its really so cold in there! We feel so bored and we tried America and we are now 3 yrs here in the usa but still bored! We want a nature just like what we had seen from your vlogs and thanks coz you gave us an idea to decide!
I am a Filipina living in the U.S. for 53 years now. My husband also grew up in the U.S. (SF, CA). but moved here older than me. He dreamed of going back when we retire. Now, we are retired, but he realized that it will be hard for me adjust to the lifestyle in the Philippines. I cannot live there anymore. The only way I can stay in the Philippines is to live in BGC, but that is not what my spouse imagine us living adventureously. Watching your forestly like home will be a nightmare for me. I hate bugs. Filipinos are most hospitable people in Asia. Good luck to you both.
While I was at El Nido, I witnessed lots of trash along the shore lines. Further, most of these trash are wash onshore by the tides and many of trash comes from nearby countries as indicated by the language written. Trash is a huge problem along the beaches.
I highly recommend Northern part of Luzon mainland, like the mountainous area (Banawe, Sagada, Baguio City and many more, also the 15th century old places in Ilocos Province, Vigan City and many more places up north of the Philippines.
Oh well, i hoped they enjoyed there stay here. Sayonara. Shout out to me,ronnie ocampo from New Jersey and Masbate City. I'm heading back there next month after spending 5 months here in the U.S.
