There is already a sequel to Freddy vs Jason in a form of a comic. Freddy vs Jason vs Ash. Ash being the protagonist of the Evil Dead movies, which I do think have Kill Counts. So it's a Three-way crossover
I assume that people have probably already recommended this, but I suggest the Film Theory videos on how to beat Freddy Krueger, and their video on whether Jason Voorhees can teleport.

Apropos fan-made stuff, James has also done Kill Cpunts on Never Hike Alone and Dylans New Nightmare. So, eventually we will get back to both Jason and Freddy.
Fun fact the original intended ending for Freddy Vs Jason was to have both of them end up in hell and confronted by Pinhead from Hellraiser films. Due to rights issues that couldn’t be done.
Also budget constraints in general. In the movie's commentary, the director talks about how the final fight on the dock was supposed to have the lake open up into hell and a giant CG hand reach up to grab them both and pull them down, but it would have been way too expensive for what was left of their budget at that point.
Yeah, I remember that they were supposed to end up in hell and Pinhead would say something like "Gentleman, what seems to be the problem" or something like that as the end stinger. I think my head would have exploded but like the vs Ash version rights and egos were in play, that and Avi Arad has a vice grip on certain projects and is a maniac.
@@matthewjaniss4103 I honestly would have loved the version of Freddy vs Jason with Ash Williams (I know a version of the script was turned into a comic a few years back and honestly I think that script needed like a slight rewrite and it would have been a classic)
I think Freddy vs Jason is the single most kill counted film in the series, which has been counted three times total, for Friday, nightmare, and the Friday recounts

Never hike alone 1 and 2 are great jason movies to look at and kills are brutal and delvs more into the jason backstory and lore

Even the New Nightmare entity (which is rumored to be the Devil itself, btw) is also a fan of those traits. I dunno.

The incoming franchise IS the one that will put to the test the "so bad is good" idea. Spoiler... young James is a bit too harsh on the series, à la old Nostalgia Critic, but he did come around, as the ranking of the Leprechaun showed. Personally. It's a nice series. Could be better in some later titles, but it's really enjoyable.

Freddy vs. Jason is a guilty pleasure for me. I know the movie is terrible. I know it's stupid as hell.
But it is a hell of a fun watch every time I put it on.
I do also have a bit of a soft-spot for the Nightmare remake mainly because of Jackie Haley playing Freddy. He's just always phenomenal in everything I've seen him in, even when it's shitty low-budget B movies where literally everything else is terrible, and that includes this movie.
The remaking was actually my first introduction.

I was worried by the title that New Nightmare wasn't in the video. Glad I checked, it's my favorite of the series.
