Overlanding to Redbird SRA Jeep Badge of Honor Trails & Badlands ORV Park!

- Overlanding from Michigan to Indiana for some off-roading at Redbird SRA and Badlands ORV area. First couple of days was at Redbird with the last day at Badlands. Skip to approximately the 33 minute mark for Badlands. Overall awesome areas to get a little mud on the tires and bring a winch!
Give it the gas guy drop it in low and stand on it !
When in doubt throttle out!!
No tree savers?
I think I forgot it at home this trip. Cleaned out my jeep and forgot to put it back in.

I’m going at the end of the month for the same reason you were there. To get those stinking badges. I hope it’s not as muddy in a few weeks.

Why are you not using a tree saver strap? We all have to do better or all these parks are gonna close their trails.
The end of my winch has the sleeve to go around trees.
@@TrailExpedition The Sleeve is not designed for Trees. This will kill the tree you are anchored to and a Tree Saver should always be used. The sleeve you are explaining is designed to put on a rock to help protect the winch line from abrasion when sliding over a rock.
I only saw Trail 5, and some small bits of 3 and 3X... didn't recognize 90% of those mud bogs and i was just there a few weeks ago. We only did part of 3X, but i walked most of it...just didn't want to spend the rest of the day winching 6 Jeeps. Plus it was getting super crowded so we called it a day. We didn't even look at, let alone attempt 2X though. Also, where was that pond area at 31:00 ?? I don't remember seeing that, and it would have been great for a quick underside rinse!
Personally, i'm not going back until after we have a nice long summer drought...that whole place is a swamp, and almost every hill is a full throttle dig your way up. I really wish that park did some maintenance on their trails.
We were there two weekends ago and the place was dead. Only ran into two other jeeps the entire time while we were there. It was extremely muddy with the worst of it being at 2X and 3X. That area at the 31 minute mark is past the hill climb area further down on the right hand side. I think there was a bathroom right at the entrance to the trail and it led to a pond area where the pond had flooded over the road.
Badlands is the bee's knees man ! I go every year! Have you heard of winterfest ? Its held at badlands march 5th-7th its crazy fun, Check it out sometime maybe ill see ya there✊ keep up the good content
Thanks man! We plan on revisiting the Badlands and Redbird tentatively First few days in April when the TJ wakes from its winter hibernation lol!
Can I rent a dirt bike there?
