As a One, I definitely agree with Chloe Brown being a One! The way she has to methodically plan to be spontaneous rather than being spontaneous on her own is a very Me thing to do 💀 Love love love this video so much and how you described each type so well for beginners !
I'm not usually into book recs based on personality things but these are pretty spot on. I'm a 4 and I looooooved The Starless Sea so much, it's one of my favorite books of all time. You also gained a subscriber when you mentioned the Diviners because I'm halfway through the series now and I'm obsessed. I think the fandom is so small and I feel like a lot of the issues in the Diviners are prevalent things now, especially once the character Ling was introduced in book two. I'm 100% here for spreading The Diviners agenda. I also love Evie too!
I'm a type 5 and I'm so intrigued by the Fifth Season!! im excited to meet the curious and secretive characters :00 (peep the FIFTH season for type 5 hehe)
okay I'm a type 4 and, "I like to wear weird clothes and I like pretty things" -- called out!! 😹 you've actually recommended the starless sea to me in the past during a darling book club chat, so this is just further proof I need to read it!
I think your choices are so accurate even though I haven't read all the books. Like I laughed when you said the starless sea for type 4 because it literally is type 4 as a book! I'm a type 2 (2w3) and haven't read Nevermoor (nor spinning silver) so I better get down to business!
Now I want to read the Starless Sea. I just finished the Night Circus and I was thinking of reading it and you recommended it for type 4 and now I wanna read it😄❤
I'm a Type 9. The Enneagram is probably the only personality test where I've felt actually seen. Horescopes? Myers Briggs? I don't relate to any of them but I am definitely a Type 9!
the fact that i'm equally a 4 and a 7 basically and i just came from your zodiac signs video and my rising is pisces,,, i think you're telling me to read the starless sea lmao
Amazing video!! 💞 I'm using it for a video where booktubers read enneagram recommendations, so thank you so much for this. I'm a type 3 so I'm excited to read Spinning Silver! I always recommend The Hating Game to type 3's. Both characters are type 3 and they're competing with each other... it doesn't get any better than that. We love a good work romance or hate to love!
I'm enneagram 6 and you chose the only book I had already read haha but it's cool because Patrick Ness is my favourite YA author for sure and I loved the rest of us!!!
Save the date books is giving me anxiety just thinking about the drama and conflict. 😂 I test as 4 and 9. Honestly. Lol. It won’t stop me from trying to read it. Lol
So I actually had no idea what an enneagram was when I first came across this video, then I took a quiz, agreed with what they had to say, watched hours worth of videos to understand more, etc. You know how it is, the suck of the internet. While I agree that your pick for type 4 would work for many people, I think a core desire for type 4, more so than aesthetics is authenticity and feeling, and understanding ones own authentic self through feeling and not shying away emotions. I'm not saying that no type 4s would resonate with The Starless Sea, clearly some people do, but for ME my books will always be anything that feels authentic to the human experience and makes me FEEL. Basically I think that anything by Fredrik Backman is amazing, because he GETS PEOPLE. Every time I read one of his books, I'm bowled over by how much I connect with the characters and experiences in how they are living their every day, even if I haven't specifically lived that same life. I like that he's not afraid to explore emotions like despair, depression, anxiety, disconnection, loneliness, etc and what they mean, and how a person can find healing and what a struggle that sometimes is, and how that will often take time, exploration, gradual small changes and people who are willing to hold out a hand to help in small ways.
for sure, this all depends on each person’s experience, interpretation, and personal taste in reading. and there is def more than 1 book that i think could fit each number - these are just the ones i can personally recommend. for me though, starless sea explores so much of what you described but also explores many of the fears and motivations a 4 may have and does that in the most expressive and beautiful way 💞
i am a type four and so seeing you recommend "the starless sea" made me really excited to read it as i feel like i know my reading tastes very well and this book just stands out to me a lot. it's this same feeling i had before i read "if we were villains" by m.l. rio and i ended up absolutely loving how brilliant the story was so your video just hypes me up even more for "the starless sea" , thank you for that
I'm a 2 and just read Felix Ever After...I totally felt like it had enneagram 2 themes of feeling unworthy of love/feeling that you have to prove you're worthy of love!
I’m a type 5 and I wanted to pick up the fifth season since you first named it in your videos! I’m a little bit scared because it’s not something I would normally read. This seems the perfect occasion to finally go and read it! 🤗
I’m a 3 and I LOVED Myriam... makes sense now 😂🙈 another character that I really related to and felt was a 3 as well is Henry from The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue!!
I'm a 3 through and through hahaha you talked about Chloe Brown being a 1, which I totally agree, and I started thinking "what are the types of the other Brown sisters?". I think Eve (even though it hasn't been released yet) totally looks like a 7, and Dani is...? I think either 3 or 8, but I'm not sure
I’m a 4 and my second is a 7. The Diviners is my all time fav (& i super relate to Evie too) and I’ve been wanting to read The Starless Sea and have had for so long but I was terrified I wouldn’t like it. So now I’m just going to do it!!
I'm a 1w2! I was kind of interested in Get a Life, Chloe Brown but I don't really like romance but now I think you convinced me to read it 😂 I also see Radio Silence by Alice Oseman as a type one book 🤍 I kind of saw The Starless Sea as a type 5 but honestly, yeah, I can see it as a 4 - especially since there is this one passage where Zachary says that he feels as if he was a collection of fictional personalities and fears that he does not have his own
I have no clue what type I would be but based on your description I am more drawn to book 6 and 9 (even though I have already read and liked some of the other books presented). Will take the test later and see with what Type I end up ^^ Thank you for your work :) Edit : this is too funny. I just finished a test chosen randomly (truity). And according to the test I am 94% type 6 and 98% type 9. I have no clue if this means anything but I will take it as evidence that this video is science-based ! ^^
I haven't read the Starless Sea yet but it's been on my TBR since it was announced, and I definitely feel like it's a book that I would fall in love with (I'm a 4 if that wasn't clear lol)
Shoot! I'm a 5 and I have been planning to read fifth season, sooo I couldn't listen to your expertise on the five since I tend to avoid even the slightest spoilers x) oh well, I'll might be back when I've read it. love your idea for this video btw
ChOAtiC ass 4, over here. And yes, finding like part of my life in a book would just 👌👌 (honestly it doesn't even have to take me anywhere, just let me feel important lol). I already wanted to read The Starless Sea, so I need to get on it.

Just putting it out there, we need a The Rest of Us Just Live Here TV series already. It's too long for a movie (or, at least, a *good* movie) but a TV series is a thing that needs to exist already
I loved this video!😍 I’m a 9 and I’ve definitely enjoyed all the Morgan Matson books I’ve read so far! I haven’t read Save the date though, but now I think I have to!😄
i've actually never taken the enneagram personality test but from hearing your description of a type 2........... i think i might just go ahead and look for a link because that hit a little too close to home...... and ....... when i read nevermoor for the magical girl society book read of the month........ i literally loved it..... because i related so much to morrigan crow...................... is this a call out post?
1w2!!! Idk if there is a way to find out how much percentage of a certain type you have, because everyone has a little bit of all of the types. For instance, I actually also relate a lot to 4 and 5, but not as much with 7 or 8, so I wonder if I'd be like 21% 5 and 12% 8 or something and if there's a way to find that out. With all that said, I KNOW that I will love Nevermoor!!! lol :D
I'm a 6w5, but I remember that when I took the test my 1 was also very high, and I feel like my inner child is a 6, but I'm growing into being a 1. I don't know if that's possible though haha
I'm a 3 and love Spinning Silver - IT'S MADE TO BE
