- I'm hiking my way through Switzerland, who's coming with me?
A solo hike from the Zugerberg to Wildspitz and down to Unterägeri on one of the last days of summer. Solo hiking is new to me, but it's been a big part of settling into Switzerland after moving from South Africa.

I would prefer to have company, but my hikes usually involve long walks n complicated routes, not to everyones likings, ha
@@thisdrinkinglife it’s always great to have company ☺️ but I also sometimes struggle to get reinforcements to join.
@@InWilderPlaces many prefer to watch hikes on UA-cam than actually doing them!

I did the hike towards the end of August. It was one of my first solo hikes so I took my time with it. You can see the trail I hiked a long here, but I think I took 7 or 8 hours in total with a stop for hot chocolate: bit.ly/2FmiSbq 😊

Any type of hiking can be dangerous. If you understand what your risks are then you can help prepare for them.
In saying that, I know you can’t go hiking alone as a woman just anywhere. In South Africa, for example, it would be dangerous and I wouldn’t encourage it. But fortunately, there are some places in the world where we can hike alone ☺️ and it’s a wonderful, freeing experience if you can!
@@InWilderPlaces I think you're right. Switzerland is a developed country, so even a woman alone can do it. However, in the forest, animals may appear suddenly and unexpectedly, such as an accident, as an example. I'm glad I got to know you You are a great woman and I am proud of you. Good luck to you!!👍👍
i like to hike alone, it is awesome. Look at my country Slovenia it so beautiful as well, i also have a hiking chanel, if u come to my country we can do a hike together.
I started out hiking alone in Switzerland. What a lovely way to get to know a country. Slovenia also seems like a beautiful place to explore.
