Quality management aims for continual improvement , Customer satisfaction , decreased errors/defects/waste.
ISO- International Organisation for standardisation.
Year of incorporation -1947.
Headquarters - Geneva , Switzerland.
ISO 9000 first publication year - 1987.
ISO 9000 family contains the following series.
Important note - The only certification in ISO 9000 Quality management system is ISO 9001:2015.
ISO 9000 - Standard contains fundamentals and vocabulary.
ISO 9001:2015- Defines the requirements for quality management system. where any organisation small or big and any type of industry ( example - Manufacturing /Retail/Service) can follow these standards and get audited and after successful audit they can be certified ISO 9001:2015. It is a process/system based quality management system.
