- Cambrils is a very cozy coastal town in Tarragona province in Catalonia Spain. It’s located next to another famous summer resort Salou. Both of them attract many tourists every summer. This time we’re visiting Cambrils in the night around the tourist area by the port. We’re also gonna go through the crowds and enjoy the street view.
For many years the main economic activities of the municipality were fishing and agriculture. However, the tourism boom since the mid-1960s has made the construction and services sector the main source of income for Cambrils.
Cambrils is considered the gastronomic capital of the Costa Dorada. It has 60 restaurants, including some of international fame and with "Michelin" star badges , such as the Can Bosch restaurant and the Diego restaurant, as well as numerous bars, cafes, terraces, ice cream parlors, etc...
The two economic activities that have traditionally characterized Cambrils were agriculture and fishing. In 2001, the activities of the primary sector employed 5.66% of the employed population.
Torre del Puerto: 17th century watchtower that served to defend against pirate attacks, which is why it was also known as the tower of the Moors. Located in front of the port, it is part of the well-known port façade of Cambrils. The neighborhood of the marina or the port of Cambrils was built around the protection offered by this defensive tower, which between the 17th and 18th centuries was equipped with artillery. In the 20th century, it passed into private hands, who modified its upper part giving it its current appearance.

Que lindo Cambrils :)
Yes a nice place. Not cheap though. Stayed there in 2001 for six weeks when working on petrochemical site outside Tarragona. Met a very nice Columbian young lady. Sonia .
This used to be a fishing village that grew into an important tourist area, and also white stucco, further up from Altea in Catalonia. In Andalucia, Cadiz is most known for alot of white stucco villages, but it's really all along the coast from The Atlantic into along the south and up the east coast Mediterranean of Spain. Going here was part of many years of holiday time in my life in Spain. Cambrils. This isn't inexpensive prices for tourism like next town Salou. We only dined in one place regularly in Salou, that could compare to Cambrils, but it was family owned like they all are, and they might have retired and closed. Best fish and seafood cuisine that I've ever had in my entire life and world travels. La Costa Dorada. I'm serious. Also have their typical rustic cuisine, with meats and pork, that's also very good. End up comparing fish and seafood cuisine anywhere else in the world to Cambrils, especially if have an experienced Mediterranean palate. Spain is different, and so many beautiful experiences.
Wow., nice place beautiful view.watching from Switzerland.
Salou just a short bus ride away. Is ok but a bit to pub club scene for me. 007 bar springs to mind. Guy tried to sell me a 4 oz alleged gold chain for 200 pounds. Lol. Got a nice fake locost watch in cambrils. Found some Spanish and English owners a bit anti English. Apparently we are all hooligans. Lol but on the whole very nice people and it gets really hot around August. Come October I was the only one on the beach swimming in the sea. Worth a visit any time.
Mui chulo

@@BABeenHere Thank you very much. I've watched these videos all winter. Do you plan to shoot there in 2021? Salou is very popular.
Yes, we will make more videos in Salou this year. 😁
How far is salou place
Would definitely live there if I could. Any jobs going let me know.
Any benefit to staying here rather than Salou ?
A lot quieter.
Less risk of getting stabbed
Salou is chav central... I went there last year and saw 2 separate fights between the Irish... Not somewhere I'd rush back to.
