I think the reason why I don’t rank Cheetah Hunt as high is because it always annoys me with the ridiculous wait times it gets. I know it doesn’t affect the actual ride experience but it just contributes to my opinion of it
It feels so weird to say united parks. It almost feels like you are making fun of the name when you say it out loud. Seaworld is just much more iconic.
@@CoasterDash Yes. It's called Draken and it's located at Gyeongju World, South Korea. Its track layout is identical to BGW's Griffon, but the trains are a bit smaller with 8 rows and seating for 24 passengers.
Iron Gwazi truly is a masterpiece, just absolutely ridiculous pacing and airtime, plus my all time favorite element with the death roll. Montu and Kumba are also fantastic loopers that rank high for me!
Great ranking! These are the top 15 I’ve experienced. 15. Scorpion 14. Journey to Atlantis 13. Cobra’s Curse 12. Apollo’s Chariot 11. Alpengeist 10. Verbolten 9. SheiKra 8. Manta (Orlando) 7. Kraken 6. Cheetah Hunt 5. Griffon 4. Montu 3. Kumba 2. Mako 1. Pantheon I haven’t ridden Iron Gwazi yet or been to SeaWorld San Antonio, San Diego, or any of the Sesame parks.
I've been to SeaWorld Orlando in 2009, but didn't ride any of the coasters-Manta would've been new at the time. I did do penguin encounter and played at some of those game stalls Infinity Falls replaced-but I mostly enjoy seeing how the park has grown in the past 15 years post-Blackfish and all
Thus far the only SeaWorld parks I have been to are SeaWorld Orlando and Busch Gardens Tampa. I would say it's either SeaWorld San Antonio or Busch Gardens Williamsburg that I will go to next.
Are there any Sea World cards that can be used in all their parks (discounts/entrence/rides)? Or is being a cardholder in one park isolated from having benefits at the others?
My top 15 currently is: 1. Iron Gwazi 2. Pantheon 3. Mako 4. Montu 5. Alpengeist 6. Kumba 7. Steel Eel 8. Texas StingRay 9. Pipeline 10. Apollo's Chariot 11. Manta (Sea World Orlando) 12. Griffon 13. Sheikra 14. Verbolten 15. Great White My problem with Cheetah Hunt is if you are tall it isn't the most comfortable ride. So I have it at #20 for the Sea World parks.
Absolutely was! It pains me that I had to leave off Ice Breaker, as I actually think it’s a spectacular coaster. Kraken and Apollo’s Chariot weren’t as close.
Here’s a top 10: 1. Manta 2. Alpengeist 3. Verbolten 4. Griffon 5. Pantheon 6. Loch Ness Monster 7. Kraken- Ridden in 2015 8. Invader 9. Apollo’s Chariot 10. Tempesto Guess I should make my way back to Sea World Orlando and Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. And thank you for including defunct Steel Eel🙏🏻💛
Very solid list. My list would look quite similar except a few minor changes and one really big one. I know I'm a weirdo but I ADORE Cobra's Curse. I don't know if it's that I'm just a sucker for great theming (which I am) or that the queue line makes me like the ride more. But honestly it's just pure fun. The spinning is done well where it seems to add character to the ride instead of just random spinning. And the elevator is so cool. Maybe I just love gimmicks but that thing is one of my absolute favorite in the chain. That said, I realize that almost no one shares my weird obsession with it so I am not surprised to see it absent from this or any similar list.
Unfortunately, I haven't yet experienced all of these coasters. Most disappointingly, Pantheon was closed on my visit to BGW last spring. I can't wait to finally ride it (hopefully sooner than later). I do love both Griffon and SheiKra, and I did find SheiKra to be the more forceful of the two as well. While dive coasters aren't my favorite models, I don't find them to be unimpressive or even one-trick ponies as many other enthusiasts do. The only other dive coaster I've ridden so far is Valravn, which I did like a lot, but both Griffon and SheiKra are better coasters in my opinion. Alpengeist -- I have mixed feelings about this ride. Don't get me wrong, I do very much like it (and B&M inverts are some of my favorite coaster models), but on my visit last spring I had some extremely uncomfortable and even painful rides on it when I sat in the rear of the trains. The only way I was able to avoid this was by sitting in the middle or front rows on my other rides. Like you mentioned, the mid-course break-run takes away from the ride by breaking up the powerhouse of a machine it is before the mid-course. Then, the rest of the ride's layout is pretty uneventful after that. In contrast, Montu, my very favorite invert and one of my very favorite coasters, doesn't lose anything in its stellar ride experience with its mid-course break-run and the rest of its layout that follows it. Oh, Cheethah Hunt, I gained so much respect for this coaster during my visit to BGT in December. During my first visit to the park in 2022, I wasn't very impressed with Cheetah Hunt, and I kind of wrote it off as being a decent but not great "family coaster". BUT, my whole opinion changed in 2023. I rode it several times, and each of my rides were great. There seemed to be an aggressive, thrilling, and intense nature to it that I didn't get in the previous year. Cheetah Hunt, like Verbolten, doesn't really fit the label as a "family coaster" to me. There's a certain aspect of intensity and thrill that goes a step beyond what I think of as a "family coaster" (Fire Chaser Express and Cobra's Curse as two examples) on both of these rides. Verbolten -- wow! I was highly impressed with this coaster, and it ended up being one of my very favorite coasters in the park. The indoor portion of the ride was pretty damn intense, and I certainly wasn't expecting it to be so. I loved how disorienting it was, and the drop-track never ceased to jolt me. I will go on record to say that the drop-track on Verbolten is better than the one on Hagrid's. Verbolten is just all-around fun and a great coaster. Like you, I do think it is an underrated coaster. Ahhhh - I very much appreciate that you placed Kumba one spot above Montu because I absolutely love Kumba. As much as I love Montu, I do like Kumba slightly more. Honestly, Kumba is one of my very favorite coasters on the planet. I love everything about it -- its intensity, its relentlessness, its aggression, its inversions -- mostly the zero g roll -- that inversion is insane and one of my favorite inversions on any coaster. It's the only coaster that I've ever ridden where I get full-on, "ass-out-of-my-seat" ejector airtime during an inversion. I can easily marathon Kumba without any negative consequences to my body. And Iron Gwazi -- as of now, still my #1 coaster. Another relentless and intense coaster that I can marathon without any negative side-effects. What can I say about this coaster that I haven't already said before? As I've mentioned to you before, Busch Gardens Tampa is my favorite park, and much of that is due to Kumba, Montu, and Iron Gwazi.
My list is not really that complete because I haven't been t SeaWorld San Diego and San Antonio. I have been to Orlando but that was in 2022 before Pipeline opened, so I will just rank it out of those 3 parks. 1. Iron Gwazi 2. Griffon 3. Verbolten 4. Alpengeist 5. Mako 6. Montu 7. Cheetah Hunt 8. Ice Breaker 9. Manta 10. SheiKra 11. Pantheon (don't love as much as others) 12. Apollo's Chariot 13. Kumba 14. Kraken 15. Tempesto/Tigris
I dont rank Cheetah Hunt high just because it feels weird to me? Like a coaster with floater and no positives at all feels weird. I came in expecting a family coaster and still was disappointed somehow. Still a good ride
Rank the following planned theme parks from most likely to least likely to actually open: Grand Texas VidantaWorld Oasis at Lakeport American Heartland Universal Kids Resort Libertyland USA
Montu, Kumba, Alpengeist, Verbolten overrated. Manta (SeaWorld Orlando) severely underrated. Manta feels like what Disney Animal Kingdom's Avatar Flight of Passage simulator ride SHOULD HAVE BEEN. Sure the Disney ride has the actual branding, but you actually feel like a Na'vi warrior on a banshee (ikran) in the front row of Manta. United Parks has some really amazing rollercoasters!

Great video!
There is a clone version of Griffon in my home park, and it's really fun. Someday, I'd like to go to BGW and ride the original version.😊
Thank you! Would that be in South Korea?

Thanks Michael! I’d love to see more at SeaWorld parks.
@CoasterDash Yeah me too definitely!
Kumba getting some love! Great list ! My home state of Florida has some bad ass coasters.
Great video man. I personally would’ve had Apollo’s chariot over some of the dive coasters but I understand that I like AC more than most people.
