I had symptoms of Barretts about a year ago, then 3 months later in Feb I was diagnosed with esophageal cancer. I had a course of chemo/radiotherapy prior to having surgery using the Ivor Lewis method. Afterwards I was given immunotherapy taking Nivolumab every fortnight. Hopefully after having Stage 3 cancer with the beast getting into my lymph nodes the thing doesn't return with immunotherapy doing it's job. My oncologist is confident it won't.
Yeah, making the most of every day now. Life is too short. It's terminal now but I know God is with me assisting those that are working on my health, doctors, nurses, allied health staff. All I need to focus now on enjoying my time with my friends family and especially my wife. I have perspective. I am lucky, There are many who are doing it much tougher than I, think about motor neurone patients. I am so fortunate to have a great boss who accommodates me at work, colleagues. So correct me if I am wrong t3n0 means it is localised. So your dad has a fighting change. I pray for both of you. You have this. Have faith, hope and don't be afraid to ask questions. Be informed. Get things explained to you in language you understand. Remember you are stronger, braver than you think. You will get through this slowly, one day at a time. Remember everyone has their own journey.
