I was really debating the wedding favors, and you just helped me decide to leave those out. I have enjoyed your videos so much, you are helping me with my wedding planning tremendously! Thank you! Also, I am having a dry wedding, so what would I call the "cocktail hour?"

    To add a few:
    7. Don't rent a car, but ask if the finest from the family/friends can be in use as the bridal car.
    8. Don't pay for everything. Allow family and friends to chip in with their services. One friend did my make-up for free, another did the photography, a friend of the family did the flowers. All were professionals in their range, and the last two only asked the real costs.
    9. Search out where to shop for your dress without breaking the bank. Buy shoes you can wear again. Same for groom's clothes.
    10. Have a tight budget for food? Don't start with the expensive meats. Serve soup first, which takes the hunger away.
Personally, I'd rather leave some guests out, than the desserts.

Nr. 11. Do not start early. If your ceremony is late afternoon, you'd have only one meal to take care of for your guests and a lot less drinks.

I think this is one area where a global pandemic can become a great excuse to not have so many guests. This is also why I am thankful for modern technology because we can always live record the ceremony and have a link sent to the guests who elect to stay home.
Also, what do you suggest is the best way to invite people other than mail? Fb is good, but not everyone has a FB.

All these wedding planners saying we should skip favors, but I'm Italian and they're EXTREMELY ESSENTIAL here.
people would line up at the end of the wedding, just to say goodbye to the couple and get the favors.
plus, there are two types of favors you must have at your wedding:
-one on every plate (the one with sugared almonds you can eat at the wedding..it could be forgotten)
-one per family (the most important one that will stay untouched in the guest's living room forever and ever)
    and trust me..they will mind😬
    I totally can't skip this😂😂

You are helping me out so much you have no idea 🙌🏻 loving these videos! I can’t say I’m leaving any of these out but you’ve made me look at what I would get for favours that would be beneficial to the guest if that makes sense instead of getting something pointless 😂 xx

For desserts, I know it that usually the grandmothers make some traditional baked goods and bring those to the wedding. Have been also to weddings that didnt have anything more sweet than the stuff the grannies made :))

Instead of wedding gifts from guests get them to bring a bottle of alchol as the gift. saves money for drinks and wont have random gifts hanging around. have a cash box in the entrance the says honeymoon fund to help pay for honeymoon.

I looooove prosecco! I personally prefer it over real, true champagne. A cava or any other sparkling white wine is perfectly fine and most people don't notice if you're doing a toast.
