What a good lesson. As a baby, I so appreciate a lesson I don’t have to pay for. So many lessons I want to hear but i can’t because they charge for the lesson

This is a great idea if the leader ship across-the-board if they could all agree, but they don’t. There is such a disunity in what the leaders teach which puts holes in this ideal. And it creates a lot of question with the interpretation of this.
There is generations of the blood on many Apostolic’s hands for beating down people and condemning them…may God have Mercy on them. There are still consequences for what they did…and sadly it will be a persons soul.
In not sure the issue is that people don’t believe in holiness. We disagree on how we define it. If the Bible says we don’t do certain things we don’t. No issues there. The issue is when leaders try to force personal convictions on a congregation. Beards were unholy a decade ago. Now it’s not. That’s not holiness. Holiness doesn’t change over time. We are all called to a life of holiness which is we separate ourselves into God. Let’s not be legalistic and allow the spirit to lead. If you’re spirit filled you will be convicted.
We’re not saved by our own works. We’re saved by the work of the Holy Ghost working through us. That is the works for which the scripture speaks. If it’s not a work of the spirit of God in our lives, then it is flesh doing it.
If a pastor wants to preach the whole truth of scripture he must be ready to lose some members. I thank God He holds me. Watching from South Cotabato, Philippines.
To bad we bully people into " personal convictions and standards" and make them heaven or hell issues. Yeah we say yeah bible not that clear but this is our church standards but then isolate others who dont look act or speak like us. Making our standards equal to acts 2:38 I love our apostolic doctrines and grew up in this but man many of us have the outward but inside are dead mens bones.
You're holy when you get the holy Ghost and be baptized in Jesus name baptized in the name of Jesus and you shall be filled with the holy Ghost or you get the hell it goes before you get Sunday the 9th I got the holy Ghost Sunday 16th I was baptized in Jesus name
When Paul said he was speaking on his own behalf he didn’t demand that people followed him on those points. He recommended but it’s not the same as a command. There’s no such thing as church standards. There’s the word and nothing else. People’s personal convictions can’t be made a standard depending on what church you attend. The definition of a standard literally cannot change based on interpretation.
Why do they always treat people less then they are the. When they do t look like them? To me it a lack of holiness in their heart..yet they judge other because they don’t look l8ke them
This entire "sermon" is based on eisogesesis, Mr. Woodward. The Holy Spirit is what make us Holy and He is our guide. You've pulled verses out of context and that isn't good. I'm not saying outward change won't be affected, or practices and habits won't fall away over time; of course they will if the person is a true believer in the grace Jesus has purchased FOR them. But much of that happens is because the Holy Spirit brings them conviction, not because a person is taught man made rules. What happens when those, "new babies/believers" choose not to dress a certain way or get rid of their tv or choose to wear a necklace and never "LOOK" like a UPCI person? Of course they're going to feel like they don't belong....They're going to want to fit in and change. It's called, peer pressure and group think. You also failed to quote Bible verses that the UPCI deems what holy looks like and explain or exogete them. In my opinion, this is most important.
@@vickimallas8215 Thank you for your words and blessings. God has blessed me in innumerable ways; beyond what I could even think or imagine and I'm forever grateful. He called me out of darkness and into His marvelous light and saved my soul; and in that alone, I rejoice. May the Lord, bless you and keep you. Praying for you, dear one.
I don't have a problem with people trying to live right. My problem is that they make salvation conditional upon service. Salvation is absolutely free and not conditional upon service to God. We don't get to change the gospel message just because we think that someone might abuse grace. Jesus is Lord God Almighty clothed in unsinful humanity and He is the author of *eternal life* to all who trust Him alone for salvation. Jesus paid for all the sins of all the world at the cross (past, present, and future). That payment is put to your account when you have believed on Christ (alone) for salvation. *This means that saving repentance is realizing that you are a sinner deserving of God's just punishment in Hell and turn (repent) from whatever you trusted in before, if indeed you trusted in anything; to trusting in the person and finished work of Christ alone for salvation.* How can you possibly trust Christ alone for salvation when you are also trusting in your performance? You absolutely can't. I used to attend Raymond Woodward's UPCI church in Marysville, New Brunswick. He's got another gospel. Free grace is the only true gospel.
I believe biblical holiness is important and beautiful. I do however think the man made rules could have been explained better. Why is facial hair on men offensive and rebellious ? After all, in todays gender mess, we should be encouraging men to look like real men. Short sleeve shirt and pants cut below the knee an issue? Women with loose fit pants with feminine style… rather than tight skirt? A wedding band should be a sign of holiness, rather than a piece of jewelry. So often we are told “Because I say so“ It becomes a respect for your elders without having a clue why it’s important to them…. Not trying to be rebellious… Just would love to know…
The only holiness that counts is the imputed righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. How you live has absolutely nothing to do with salvation at all. That's a service issue. Salvation is absolutely free and not conditional upon service to God. We don't get to change the gospel message just because we think that someone might abuse grace. I've got no problem with trying to live right. My problem is with people like you who make salvation conditional upon service.
The Bible teaches modesty it does teach a dress. Women wear their skirts so tight and conforming to their bodies in the apostolic church, that it is in no way modest. For woman to wear a loose pair of slacks that don’t conform to her body with a suit coat is more modest than the skirt they wear in Apostolic churches
True Holiness comes from being WASH in the Blood Of The Lamb ❤True... practicing Modesty is a godly healthiness habits performance but that’s not what true Holiness is about...just dialoguing
Dealer Woodward that is not a true statement. They do not give people time to grow. They condemn people. I’ve been in this for 52 years and have seen so much awful bad behavior concerning the subject in the church.
I fully believe there needs to be a breakdown of teaching on outward modesty / holiness as there are some absolutes in black and red in that Bible and then there are some gray areas that need defining but make no mistake the word of God is forever settled and what separates the Church of the Living God apart from the rest of the world is not only are inward experience from the in feeling of the Holy Ghost and the Deliverance that comes from that but the other half of it is the outward manifestation in changing and not conforming and looking like the world does there is a distinction they're always has been since the beginning of time until now and the reason men begin to walk away from it and loosen their standards is because they want a bigger crowd in their church and they feel if they start compromising Holiness they will get that but obedience is better than sacrifice the word of God says and the United Pentecostal Church as a whole has let down so many standards of what the Bible teaches is separation that some of the churches you cannot even tell them apart from an Assemblies of God💯

With out holiness no man can see God
Hebrews 12:14
Holiness means state of holy

I love our apostolic doctrines and grew up in this but man many of us have the outward but inside are dead mens bones.
God (HOLY GHOST) will convict to something unholy "I" believe...that's my discerning of the matter.
But yet the Church says if you don’t look like us and talk like us, you really I can’t be one of us. They limit you.
11:47

Speaking, the truth is not angry. Self righteousness is not of God in the think you’re better than other people is not holy.
So right many do this and its wrong.

P.S. I've read your book on the topic and it's equally lacking.
I think if you listen closely about what he talks about after 29:12, this answers your objections.

It’s up to each individual to choose which path they want to pursue. How intimate do you want to be with the Lord. ? He’s waiting on each of us.
