You shouldn’t look at it that way. Think of all of the good childhood memories that you made with those cards. Just cuz somethings worth money doesn’t mean that’s all the value it holds.

Ive been opening and weighing ex series for years and what I can say is it varies by booster box. Some heavies from one box can be lights from another, you really need the whole box as a baseline to find actual heavies

I love these pack openings. I wish I could afford the boosters that this dude opens, but I’m happy just being able to see these cards

You can buy them for $50
i have fantasized such a scenario before as well xD spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on cars is weak, imagine spending that much on cardboard >:)

I've never been so annoyed watching someone open cards...the constant stopping between each cards, the constant pausing mid switch to tell some short story, the amount of time it takes to open the next pack, the not loud but overly fake excitement yelling each rare, ext. It's just all so annoying alone, let alone when combined...

What I'd be more interested in is seeing if there's a weight difference between packs that have been tampered with and glued back shut if it isn't absolutely obvious to begin with

I started collecting when Base set became unlimited right before 1st Edition Jungle came out so I am right there with you on that one

all the crazy rare cards ive had as a kid.... all gone now thou. i was collecting since first edition base set. too bad if you dont wacth them closely the the card goblin comes to get them while adult life goes by lol. i had mews, dragonites, charizards, shinings, rockets, legendaries, etc etc. im sure there is a million people who have felt this way. the nostalgia hits so hard with pokemon. also it would probably hurt bad to know what he paid for these packs. esp the heavy that wasnt heavy. oof. glad to see someone actually opening these thou.
And shout out to Leon for doing this, pokemon collectors know how this is not going to return what it could have had he just sold the packs. He’s doing it for his and our enjoyment!
Leon because of you I started my collection 3 years ago and money isn’t what it’s about but that collection has raised almost 2-3x in value and I’m becoming a serious investor! Today I’m looking at 5k singular cards!!!

one of my coworkers recently started collecting pokemon cards pretty seriously because of you and your channel, he hadn't collected since he was in junior high and we're both 29. he told me your story so i had to come check your channel out, and i totally get it. you've sparked a bit of a desire for me as well, i miss the feeling of opening booster packs and getting a cool holo card, pokemon rules, man.

I had a 21.19g 1st Neo Discovery pack and it was light as well. You can only tell if a single pack is light or heavy if you compare the weights of the packs from the booster box they came out of..
