One of the most amazing cities in the world!! I have been to Manhattan at least a dozen time in my life. It has been over 5 years since I was last there. Truly a breath taken city!!
Dude! Fantastic job making this video! Really captures the city at its best! Plus, you've got The Staue Of Liberty in there! Awesome, gotta have The Statue!
This song takes me back to 4th grade....I had Kiss live II, Destroyer(on 8track)and Dynasty. My best frd had Hotter than, and Ace Frehley......He would play Ace on air guitar and I was Chris with my pencil drum sticks..........
Jesh3 - Thanks for this. NYC born and bred but living in So. Cal. now. This was a nice walk down memory lane with a song that I haven't heard in years but still like as much as when I first heard it!
this video still rocks.....have worked in every battalion in FDNY and when I see this video I go .....yup , been there.....Are there any native new yorkers left.........lol.............
gta 4 brings many songs to us gamers' ears, and this is one of the best! and that "zit" song mobile service is great, i use it a lot as there are many good unknown songs there!
I was born and raised here, and still live here, even though I hate it since it's become Bloomtown. I can't wait to get out of this prison they still call New York, but holds no resemlence to the place I used to love. But I LOVE YOUR VIDEO!!!! IT IS SO GOOD!!! I think the only people who love this town the way it is now, are people who weren't here before, and especially those who never were here long enough to see KISS at the Diplomat Hotel back in the 70's when they were considered geeks.
seems like this song inspires similar ideas for video. I'm uploading one I did in 2003 that's a lot like this. Cool to see the idea from someone else's perspective. I'll post a video response when mine's uploaded. cheers!
What no Madison Square Garden? No Yankee Stadium or City Field? How about Nathan's at Coney Island or the Staten Island Ferry? Great video just saying those are all iconic parts of NYC. :)
awesome song i flipped out when i heard it in GTA 4 i've loved this song since i saw "A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints" which is an awesome movie with shia leboeuf and Robert Downey Jr. check it out!
Durante toda la canción -Zoom de Soda- suena el riff de armónica, las guitarras y los claps de la batería de la canción New York Groove de la banda británica de glam rock Hello. A mi gusto, la mejor versión de New York Groove es de Ace Frehley.
I guarantee most people, possibly you too, had the same values as "hipsters" when you were younger. The only difference is there wasn't a set stereotype for those people and it wasn't cool to take the piss. Each type of people adds and has always added a cultural value to NYC. People talked the same why about the Irish at first too.
Orale man, buen dato... pero ps esta mejor la de Soda ¿no? haha... las dos rolas estan muy buenas...con razon un tio me decia que Zoom le recordaba una rola de Kiss... yo lo creia loco haha...
shit, I look at all the people who have came to NYC and think they are New Yorkers.............I grew up in this city. ........and i still miss my friend who died on 9/11, We were just some dopey catholic school boys growing up in th 70's, but we are more New Yorkers than this potpourri of transplants and stars ever will be.
God, I miss NY. I get energized just thinking about going back...
Excellent job! I love NYC and shall return sooner than later!

Ace Frehley, your voice may not have been perfect, but when has rock 'n' roll ever had to sound perfect!?
In the 1970s and in some recent playoffs, the New York Yankees played this song after victories instead of New York, New York at Yankee Stadium.

hey, this song sounds pretty much like "Zoom" by Soda Stereo... interesting...
This song was created by Gustavo Cerati, Zoom - Soda Stereo.
