Excellent little vid George, nice to see some of the “classic” stuff still being used - a slightly slower pace of life!

Love the 10 series Ford! SQ cab was a treat to be in with of course a hi tech digital dash 😉! 7810 was my favourite!!

Love the ole Fords. Have a spot for the 76 series. Loved driving them. Felt big to me at the time, many years ago. Liz produced a great video. Thankyou both as always.

good vidjo George , we just borrowed a 7810 4wd to bale our silage , hayledge with , checked air filters as one does , found the poor ol thing had the original air filters it was sold with !!!! 1989 vintage !! someone was being economical with the spares ! Borehams soon had me fitted out with new ones ! shit the ol girl went like stink after new breathing gear , only done 5314 hrs since new , all straight not a mark on it , everything worked like it did in 89 , amazing , how people drove an ol tank i'll never know , my old 3140 (C reg ) was streets ahead of the true blue !! ta ta ........

Great vid George. I loved driving those classic fords like 4610, 5610,6410,6610, 6810,7810,8210, I hated driving the rubik;s cube gearbox tractors. That was the worse invention ford came up with.

Back in the 80's on our dairy we had a 5610 and 6610 but both were economy, my dream tractor was the 8210 Q force II. over here i finally got my Qcab when i picked up an 1991 8730 for the mixer wagon and grain cart. but yeah i went from a 5610 in the 80's to now i run a T9.615 on tracks. Did a repaint of the super Q cab this past winter on my channel.

omg, i remember these cabins well when tey were new we polished the inside with cockpit spray !! to make it even more attractiv to farmers. The 6810 (old 6000; 6100) was the powerful 4cylwith about 82hp?. these digital dashboards were not popular; sun and dirt always made them get old and less readable quickly. What i and farmers did love most was the great ergonomic steering wheel which in same models you can adjust in angle if i remember right. I felt very comfy having those steering wheels in my hand. I remenber our IHC with a shit flat angles steering wheel; was not that good.

Here less of the old it wasn't that long ago we were still using a 6600 with a Tanco loader. Though our orchard field it one of our biggest at 11 acres but our weight block is a bigger than that not that we use it any more

Nice to see for a change and probably as "old school" as it gets for most people nowadays, BUT real old school would be managing without the power steering as most loader tractors were when they first appeared in the late '60s for a lot of farms including ours.
-- and no I do not yearn for those 'good old days' - they are only good when it is not your day to day..

Really enjoyed this George, as I did Liz's. Possibly??? because you were using a tractor I could actually drive, without a months tutorial. Also because I love baling.
P.S. many years ago, long before you were thought of lol. I seem to remember someone at work saying a farmer had a round baler. So my question is.....were these the first large bale balers.

We sold our 1983 5610 (4wd) to a company that trades with the UK so it should be over there somewhere right now.
It had the gears on the stearingcolumn, that took a while to get used to when we bought it.

Nice bit of filming and podger Dodger in fine looking form. Great machines and the technology in that 5610 isn't as ancient as people might assume? Its nice when I'm driving Fendt Vario or a Fastrak but getting behind Wheel our International reminds me of sitting I. Cab with Grandad.
