What is Roblox? ROBLOX is an online virtual playground and workshop, where kids of all ages can safely interact, create, have fun, and learn. It’s unique in that practically everything on ROBLOX is designed and constructed by members of the community. ROBLOX is designed for 13 to 18 year olds, but it is open to people of all ages. The reason why crosswoods bans your account is deleting the chat filter and spam bad words until you get banned or it just hacks the roblox moderation system to ban your account.

Tips to stay safe. 1. If you randomly get teleported to ANY game while playing a game, spam alt+f4 as fast as humanely possible. On mobile, spam the X on the top right on the screen. 2. Do not join any games that have misspelled titles, a fishy description like the crosswoods game had, and don’t play random games until roblox announces that it is patched. Do not play games you do not trust, or that is not trusted by people. Don’t join games that have a small player count, they might try to bait you into joining it to get you banned. 3. Spread these messages to anyone you know who actively plays roblox to keep them safe. STAY SAFE!

Someone using it maliciously was inevitable, but it could have been prevented if Roblox fixed it instead of letting it stay for years.

some roblox exploiting incidents are WAY worse than the current ones, honestly. The crosswoods incident was REALLY bad, so was when people hid roblox transactions under GUI somehow (the first time, okay, maybe just an oversight, but then it happened again recently even though it was “fixed”).

IP bans are pretty rare. They aren't made for little kids violations.
They're made for legal and serious violations, like extremely sexual adult content, children safety, hacking the whole website, DMCA problems, giving or receiving PII, that type of thing.
