The Mayor telling the councilman to "just walk home" doesn't retroactively erase the drunk driving he did to get from point A to point B. While giving advice like that may not (or maybe it is, don't know) be illegal, it certainly doesn't appear very ethical.
Ugh i hate small town officials. worked for a small city and swear every elected official thought they above the law and could do anything they wanted.
About 35-40 yrs ago, I lived in Ogilvie, MN for a couple of years to get away from an extremely abusive ex, a very small time of about 750 people if I remember right…it was small…only had 1 town cop! He pulled me over one time…to drink with him…we had a beer together…he attended the Left handers Party at the local bar, pinned his cop shirt on the wall, to wear the logo shirt of the bar…I’ll refrain from names…no one needs to know them 😊❤
Our State Rep. In South Dakota hit a man on the way home from a meeting. He claimed it was a dear. The problem is that you could see where his head went thru and the mans glasses were in the passenger seat. He had to of pushed the man out of the window and put him in the ditch. The sheriff showed up and said here drive the sheriff's car and come back tomorrow. They found the dead man the next day. Nothing happened but he decided to resign for family reasons..so fkn sad
The video clearly shows the 2 issues with his brake lights that the officer pulled him over for, on a public (not private) road. I was an elected official, and would never have tried to use that as leverage for ANYTHING. This drunkard is a public disgrace.
I think that's the first time I've seen someone do the heel/toe walk correctly. Wup - put his arms out (not at his sides) and wobbled. Surprised at his level.
In Wisco . . . never. It's a public sport on weekends. In my city between MKE and MAD, police and fire spend all of Friday and Saturday nights picking up drunks. I used to love doing "the crawl" on Main St (walking since I only live a few blocks off the main drag), but it's horrible with the fighting drunks, both men and women. The whole elected special treatment thing is common here. Years back even our state attorney general had gotten nailed by Dodge County for DUI (the arrest video is out there and props to the person who finds it) and if memory serves, she made mention of her position during the stop.
Years ago we had a city attorney here that would be pulled over for drinking and always had judges dismiss his DUI charges until one night he hit a child who was crossing a street and the local media exposed his drinking problem. After the event he immediately resigned from the city. Luckily the child wasn't hurt badly. He did suffer a broken leg.
The fact that he actually sounded very coherent compared to a lot of the traffic stop videos I've seen makes me think that this level of drinking is probably pretty normal for him...
Looking at both the officer’s and then the POS council man the contrast is amazing. Officers-2nd to none professionalism. Councilman-beer bellied immature brat!!
Why oh why don't people carry their insurance with them in the car? In TN you're supposed to have it in the car and you should always have your driver's license on you when driving but you know that's just me... idiots...smh No one cares if you're with the city council or the mayor or president of the US... drunk is drunk...I really get angry at those who think they're above the law and the rest of the people around them. 😡🤬
most lawyers will advise you to not consent to a dUI test or blood draw. However, you should never really put yourself in a position to need a test- just take a Uber home. It’s so easy these days.
Love that this officer is unphased by the name dropping and just continues the stop., I have had this happen several times and almost always the council member is kind and respectful
The definition of what is wrong with politics currently in the United States of America. The people don't work for the politicians. The politicians are supposed to work for the people...and represent them with a heightened degree of self accountability. He's an example, a pathetic one, but still an example...
I looked it up and said nothing about losing his job. It says he called the mayor but the mark said he didn’t ask for any favors. It happened in 2222 an I think he is still on the council.
Sir, as their "Boss", you should be setting an example of moral integrity and lawful conduct. And just sayin', The People are your "Boss" and we don't take kindly to the mistreatment of our fellows.
Should lose his position and be banned from any other job in politics. Hes the problem with our govt, they think they're above the law for some reason.

It isn't just small towns where offficials can think they are above the law, but they are unique.

Big fish Small Pond Syndrome
He called the MAYOR at 1 am? He is twice the legal limit in BAC? I really really hope he was fired.
Thanks Bigen! Who knew there was a town called Bad Advice, let alone a mayor!

True Crime Loser channel covered that story. So sad!
Omgfg that is horrible 😮
That’s absolutely disgusting. I hope he has enough soul that what he did haunts him every day.
That’s murder!!
He was the state attorney general.
"Sir, I don't think that's an appropriate discussion to have at this moment."
This cop is a skilled diplomat. 😁
Basically he is saying "Respect my non-existent authority!" .... That's not how that works

Another deplorable bully politician! The officer sure didn't deserve the lip he was getting from the jerk.
I bet he still lives with mommy and daddy. He really thinks he's important
Yup! A legend in his own mind 😂😂
I like how cooperative this guy is
Until he began to threatened after he was arrested
18 months in Wisconsin if you’re found guilty of dui and refuse a blood test 😮
Good!!!
There seems to be a lack of awareness of the connection between privilege and responsibility these days.
He called the mayor...😂😂😂
I think that's the first time I've seen someone do the heel/toe walk correctly. Wup - put his arms out (not at his sides) and wobbled. Surprised at his level.
I simply love your energy this morning Bigen! It made me smile on this early thursday morning.
This damn guy is lucky that the headline on the local paper doesn't read " City Council members kills a family ehile driving drunk".
Great channel .... Helps me get through bad cancer times .... THANK YOU !!!
I’m so happy that you enjoy!
May your cancer be healed by God
It would appear that he called the mayor because he knew he was drunk and wanted a get out of jail free card, as it were.
He doesn't seem drunk. Maybe he's a professional.
I predict that this councilman will presently feel a sudden, urgent need to spend more time with his family.
Arrest the member, for being a tool. And a politician. Both offensive to polite society.
@14:38 awesome, threaten the cops job. Politicians can be so slimy
I wonder when individuals will stop driving after imbibing? I guess many people don’t responsibly plan ahead for alternative transportation.

You can't tell me this homeless man is a politician🤮
"Sir, Are you attempting to use your position as a member of the city council to influence my decision of whether or not to arrest you?"
Anytime someone says they’ve had 2 drinks, always times that by three. It’s the rule of three. This little man is grossly overrating his importance.
Good morning BigenII!!

A little bit of power is a dangerous thing for some people. 😂

Candace Ruiz has to go to court in Orego. JUNE

I swear, elected officials need to learn they are not above the law.. we elected them on trust
He got a .162 and beer belly from only 2 drinks, sure
Love that this officer is unphased by the name dropping and just continues the stop., I have had this happen several times and almost always the council member is kind and respectful
I hate how far the cop pulled away from the guy!
Missed the live, but I'm watching now. Thanks for all you & Mrs do! Have a blessed day!

Another example of how Cops are not hired for their high IQ, lol 😅

I wanted to hear he lost his job and his imagined influence.
Bet the dude didn't get disciplined whatsoever.
That's political privilege for ya. 😡
I love starting my day with you and ending my day with you!!!!!
I looked it up and said nothing about losing his job. It says he called the mayor but the mark said he didn’t ask for any favors. It happened in 2222 an I think he is still on the council.
Good morning Bigen hope you have a great day
Good Morning Bigen☕️🙂
So he makes him do different tests till he fails one
Missed this morning as it was posted after I had to leave for school. But, good morning, anyway😊
Good morning - from Granton WI
I carry my insurance card and the app but I don’t understand why they hassle the drivers. In Florida, it shows up in their system
Good morning Bigen
Why is it always 2 beers lmao 😐
Thanks
Hes a jerk
Good Morning Y'all
Sir, as their "Boss", you should be setting an example of moral integrity and lawful conduct. And just sayin', The People are your "Boss" and we don't take kindly to the mistreatment of our fellows.
Good morning. :) Ivan
Good morning 😊
Entitled and arrogant. If that's how alcohol affects him he shouldn't drink..
I have a feeling he's an asshole when he's sober as well..
Does he live with mommy and daddy?
I think its interesting no which video i watch about DUI drivers. Everyone always says i only had two beers
Be hard to get repellected after the video gets out.
I'm kinda a big deal. No you are not.
😂
Council member of some podunk town in Wisconsin and thinks he has the power to intimidate the police. Good luck with that, Skippy!
Should lose his position and be banned from any other job in politics. Hes the problem with our govt, they think they're above the law for some reason.
I guess he thinks he is above the law.
