mine was delivered yesterday along with a Volca Sample and I'm just starting to play with it now. I have no clue what I'm doing but I've spent many hours on it today just goofing around, fiddling it's knobs and i love it. the sounds that come out are amazing. it's a beautiful machine. this is my first true analogue synthesizer, coming from a Yamaha Djx and an Akai miniak as a beginner. my girlfriend is out running the streets, doing a bunch of nothing and I'm counting on her to leave me because of all the money I've been blowing lately on sound and recording gear. that's her loss and problem to deal with. thank God we don't have any kids together. I'm in synth heaven right now and I love it. I haven't even touched the Volca Sample yet but I have a really good feeling that it's going to be a whole lot of fun once I get in to it and can't wait to buy the other volca units. thank you to Tatsuya Takahashi , Yuki Ohta and everyone else involved with and at Korg for making an affordable, authentic analogue beast to keep my spirit and mind focused on more positive and creative, uplifting things to do with my life to avoid the shade, ignorance and negative energies of dream killers and promiscuous thots.
I've had a Minilogue for a year now and I find it so rewarding to return to these early videos and be reminded how much can be achieved just by changing the wave shape at the very start. This series is fantastic, thanks Korg.
Hey! Thank you for these videos! Quick question to anyone who happens to read this comment : can someone hear those 2 top notes (B and C) being played at around 1:39 seconds in the video?
What exactly is going in with the shaper? Is it like multiplying it with another oscillation to change the wave form? The mininova has a great vsync that uses another virtual oscillator per oscillator waveform to change the wave to get interesting harmonics. Wondering if this is similar.

lol man what a comment, my couple is gladly a musician too but still wonders why I spend so much time fiddling knobs and money on synths
SP-404 HypNodiQ SoundJunkie you in new Orleans?
Very helpful tutorials coupled with baffling graphics that flash above the synth for the entirety of the video, and for no reason.

Thank you for explaining everything so clearly, it's very helpful for a beginner like me :)
Tremendously beautiful; I have it and you made something very entertaining and educational.
That intro is such a pain! Great video anyway, thank you for sharing! And amazing synth, hope to get one soon!
That background is a bit annoying :/
but definitely a great video thanks
