I can't imagine the guilt and sadness that she's been carrying over the years because she thought that it was her fault that Vander died. Seeing him alive and Vi affirming that she's also a part of the family probably healed a huge broken part of her heart and soul.
This, people are not talking about this enough. This was an extremely important moment for her. Especially since most (informed) people agree the writers have been writing her with all of the classic signs of BPD and C-PTSD, even the less known aspects of BPD that aren't as understood by most people, such as psychosis, splitting and the chameleon effect.
The last time these three were together was when Vander was presumed dead, Vi took her anger out on Powder and was taken away before she could apologize,and Powder joined Silco after thinking she killed her adopted father and made her sister despise her
Right… it’s all she needed to hear to finally start letting that night go. Breaks my heart imagining the self hate and guilt that plagued her for years and years… and she finally gets to hug her dad who cared for her all her childhood, and her sister who she always trusted and missed despite it all... it’s just so moving.

All the small little pieces tying neatly together in these 3 episodes: Singed IS Orianna's father, Vander really IS Warwick (that one was heavily speculated and hinted at, but never openly stated until now), Viktor's glorious evolution was tainted after he was betrayed by his best friend and realized human emotions would always be a hinderance in the path of evolution, Warwick's cinematic shows him climbing onto a similar cabin he arrives in the prison in, Heimer and Ekko are probably experiencing some time shananigans right now (which will probably lead to Ekko's time warp hextec skills) and so much more... I absolutely love this show, and as a former league player and fan of the older game lore, It couldn't have been done more perfectly.

Same. I was shocked and crying on the inside throughout the whole Act. While certain Act 3-the absolute last act-is going to be quite the heartbreaker, it can’t top this act; not by a long shot.
The entanglement between them is so satisfying ! Seeing Silco when he hadn't sunk into darkness was delightful. And the note from Vander that he never found... Just thinking about it gives me goosebumps !

I have never played League of legends, not even have a single game in my computer. Arcane is not only the BEST animation series I have seen in my life, it’s a game changer in ART production, a legacy and a guide for the future. Not a single word can match how AMAZING Arcane is. You just only can clap in silence.
Stay away from league, it's addictive. Also, it's a joke in the Riot community that they're a music studio that just happens to make league of legends. Which I can honestly agree with, they've always made some amazing videos and music, and it makes the world of Runeterra all the more amazing.
1:02 I get IMMMEDIATELY sentimental on that Melody drop at when they suddenly show her hugging....Many shows underestimate music so much just LOOK at how much emotions a single song everytime in arcane bring out .....like out IT FEELS soooo emotional
I didn’t expect to cry at least 5 times with these three episodes. But this moment hit me the most. Tmw you see Vi hugging Vander and Vander hugging her back followed by "he's your dad, too." That hit like a train.
The last scene was the one that destroyed me. Fking, aghhhhhh, the hextech claims yet another victim. "Pew pew" You know, buzzing behind your eyes best feeling in the world kid. And she took it to heart saving the one she loved at the moment.
This song feels like a callback to "Goodbye" from episode 3 of season 1. The tone, the melody, the sound effects by the end, the repetition of the lyrics, it feels like a bittersweet reunion. God, this act was just genius. They shifted the attention to the very beginning of our story. The emotional core we had in the very start of our journey. Vi, Powder, Vander. The three we cared for most in the beginning. And here they are. FINALLY WITH A CHANCE FOR REUNION. (also, Isha's here, because we love her!) (... oh wait)

It hit so hard when Jinx stared in horror into the darkness scared of the very thought that her family had died because of her once again. And then “He’s your dad too” devastated me. Just beautiful. That was all I even need. They are still family. Nothing is ever going to change that.

Probably the best Act of the entire show so far in terms of its emotional impacts, so many story bits were hitting so hard and so frequently. If they stick the landing it will be an all-timer.

You might be forgetting the end of s1. Absolutely broke me. Still one of the most powerful things ever. I think s2 is downplaying s1 and its impact SO hard.
It destroyed me, hearing that while looking at how much Vander has changed, how after all this he's finally reunited with his little girls again. They've all changed, they've been broken and beat down so much, what have they done to them. They'll never be the same but finally, they're together again. They can change them as much as they want, the world will never separate family. That is until Arcane does exactly that. This show is not good for anyones mental health oh my goodness
Even after all they've been through, there is a spark of light in the midst of the darkness of their tragic lives. Such beautiful usage of symbolism 😥😥 WHERE DO WE EVEN GO FROM HERE????
My grandmother passed away 5 years ago. The entire set up, the music, my love for Vander and, of course, the ones who left me before, touched a sensitive part of my heart and memories. The whole scene, and reunion with Warwick/Vander with his daughters in that needed and warm hug... honestly broke me and I remembered in a flash how much I miss my grandma and how much I wish to hug her like that. It's truly beautiful, heart-wrenching, and well-written how this show, and the scenes that involved Vander-Vi-Powder (among other, ofc) really felt so personal that tears covered my face, but with a smile under them. I felt relieved, understood. At least for a short period of time, they had their reunion. And so did I, in a few minutes. Thank you so much for portraying human feelings so, so well; thank you for representing the pain, the reconcilation and the love for the ones who left us (and how much they loved and cared for us). Thank you for such emotional moments that are needed in these moments where feelings have been covered with indifference and criticism in some places.
As someone who recently been following the lore 3 years ago, I can’t even imagine the lore nerds, who’ve been following the lore for almost a decade, reaction right now. All that tease, all those specific voice interactions, all the speculations, it all culminated to this one beautifully emotional art piece. Well fucking done Riot and Fortiche…

I felt this way too. Hits harder when you’ve lost that familial bond with your parents too, either through death, divorce, feuds, or otherwise. That emotional core is one I’m sure a lot of us can relate to.
Only thing that made me sad was that Ekko and Heimerdinger got no screen time and Jayce got 1 scene before blowing up Viktor, though in his case I get it more because it builds suspense as to what the hell happened to him
Damn, this music is for the sisters story, the Piltover and Zaun story, for the Medarda's story, for what Riot and Fortiche did to the audience, and for what the world has done to itself. Because, "what have they done to us", what have we done to all of us? And it's heartbreakingly beautiful!
this scene probably made me sob the most so far. It hit me so hard to see all three of them united again, all of them completely changed by tragedy and yet for a moment it looked like they could have a chance to be a family again. It was so bittersweet and beautiful. I want them to be okay
The brightest moment of the show happening in the darkest corners of that world, in a cave hidden away from the rest of everyone. For a split moment, they found peace, love, and joy

I love that the lyrics perfectly align with what Jinx is feeling in the moment. "Don't make me go through this again." Jinx is afraid she got Vi killed, getting someone she cares about killed again. Afraid of feeling that guilt and pain again. "You're not real, I can't pretend." Jinx, slowly realizing that she might be alive, and vander is calmed down. With her history of hearing and seeing things that aren't there, reality can be volatile to her. She is afraid if this is real or not, she is terrified to get her hopes up, because of what if it is ripped away from her? "This story is over, I ripped out the end." Jinx gets close enough to see that they are hugging. The second she sees that, all her fears and anxiety while walking up start to dissolve. The "story" is what she built up in the first two lines. The expectation of being hurt again is being ripped from her by seeing with her eyes that she can potentially be happy. This is the moment she has been waiting for since she went to get Vi. She probably never thought this far ahead, she likely thought that it wasn't possible to be happy. When Vi says what she does, that completely snaps her back to being hopeful. That she could be happy and loved, despite her mistakes. Vi didnt care that she got vander killed, she also brought him back to her. I guess you could also interpret the "I ripped out the end" part as Jinx rewriting her mistake, to some extent. This reunion is what Powder needed. We even see her cry a tear that is crystal clear, no shimmer. Powder came out in full force. This scene altered my brain chemistry, I have never been so captivated by a moment.
I don't ever think I've scream cried like this over a show, and it continues to break me, every single time, I just know that hug was so healing, how I long for that.
I absolutely adore this song. Starting off slowly, softly, mysterious. It then turns into a raw scream of indescribable regret of what could have been, an ocean of unsaid and unspoken that has now turned into an unstoppable stream of simple yet harrowing words. Even though it's not the most popular episode, I sincerely believe it's one of the best. The expressions on Powder's face as she ignites her lighter in the dark... it's simply a work of art. She’s holding on to the child, shaken by a sudden realization that she might have put both her sister, Violet, and her adoptive sister, Isha, in serious danger. Her eyes filled with painful uncertainty, uncontrollable fear, and glimmering hope -- all at once, all of them burning within her kind, yet broken heart, burning softly like a fleeting flame. All those emotions mixed with throat-locking dread, then unfathomable relief, as she noticed Violet is alive, hugging the beast that was once their father, a man she has always loved but never got a chance to express her gratitude, unable to apologize for her irreversible mistake, an error that haunted her grief-tormented mind ever since. A single tear falling down her cheek when she hears her sister’s invitation tells a story that not even a thousand words could ever explain. Her whole face shivering with volcano of bottled-up sorrow that has now turned into blissful euphoria as she realizes the world gave her a second chance to regain what she has always wanted - a loving family.

That being said, she created the bomb, she put a dangerous object inside of it-and finally, used it willingly. Her intentions were nothing but pure; she wanted to save her friends, her loved ones. Unfortunately, the consequences of her actions led to a series of tragic events. Sometimes, even the purest intentions wreak havoc, their unforeseen consequences casting a cruel shadow on the innocent lives. She's painfully aware of that fact; she knows that her love was also the cause of her downfall, which is why unfathomable guilt burns within her soul, making it extremely hard to open up to people and to form close relationships with others. All she ever wanted was forgiveness, and she received it. Not only did she regain the love and trust of her sister, but she also regained her father. That is what makes this scene so heartbreaking and beautiful at the same time.
Even if other people hurt you and turn you into something you can barely recognize, like a shadow of yourself or a monster, it is beautiful to see that even in the chaos, a lost spark can bring everyone back together, even if only for a moment. ❤😢

It has been years since i last cried. when i first watched this scene, i already knew he was hugging Vi...i was really hoping for it, and i told myself " if they're hugging each other im gonna cry " well...i watched that 3 times, i cried at each, even thinking about that part makes my eyes wet, cant get over this.... THE FAMILY IS BACK.
They were all genuinely compassionate people who got dealt the worst hand by fate. But they both find reason to move forward and endure for these two girls.
100% I’m a Orianna main so the reveal there was awesome. But OMG the emotions felt. This beats even the finale of season 1 for me. It’s just absolutely a perfect episode.
i actually didn't like episode 4 that much. The Time jump from ep.3 was way to big imo, or at least to sudden. After all that happened in ep 3, suddenly everyone seems like a completely different person.

No matter how cold, crazy, unfair, dangerous or chaotic the outside World is. It doesn't matter who wins and who loses. Piltover and Zaun don't matter anymore. This moment means everything for each one of them: Violet. Powder. Vander. Isha. Each one of them has been through a lot. Each one of them is a victim of something. And that's what the title of this song stands for. But this hug changed everything. During this peaceful moment, they forgot for a while all the bad things that have been done to them. In this hug, for a matter of a few seconds, they felt safe, protected and understood. There is no hard feelings, there is no resentment; there is only this reunion, this beautiful moment between them. In here, in this healing moment, the World stopped spinning, the time stopped; also their worries, their sorrows. After all the struggles and chaotic chain of events, this hug truly represents the safest place to be. This warm hug in silence between the four of them embodies so much that I can not even explain it with proper words. I can only be grateful for existing in this period of time to experience this masterpiece, this show called Arcane. This show has made me feel incredible things. It made me cry a lot. Like never before. And I did love that.

I didn’t expect to cry at least 5 times with these three episodes. But this moment hit me the most.

This song feels like a callback to "Goodbye" from episode 3 of season 1. The tone, the melody, the sound effects by the end, the repetition of the lyrics, it feels like a bittersweet reunion.
God, this act was just genius. They shifted the attention to the very beginning of our story. The emotional core we had in the very start of our journey.
Vi, Powder, Vander. The three we cared for most in the beginning.
And here they are. FINALLY WITH A CHANCE FOR REUNION.

Rewatching season 1 made me start to realize how good of a character Vander is
Jinx eyes when Vi said: "he's your dad too" was the strongest non-verbal message I've ever seen in an animation. Something changed in me after that.

Probably the best Act of the entire show so far in terms of its emotional impacts, so many story bits were hitting so hard and so frequently. If they stick the landing it will be an all-timer.

It destroyed me, hearing that while looking at how much Vander has changed, how after all this he's finally reunited with his little girls again. They've all changed, they've been broken and beat down so much, what have they done to them. They'll never be the same but finally, they're together again. They can change them as much as they want, the world will never separate family.
That is until Arcane does exactly that. This show is not good for anyones mental health oh my goodness

My grandmother passed away 5 years ago. The entire set up, the music, my love for Vander and, of course, the ones who left me before, touched a sensitive part of my heart and memories. The whole scene, and reunion with Warwick/Vander with his daughters in that needed and warm hug... honestly broke me and I remembered in a flash how much I miss my grandma and how much I wish to hug her like that. It's truly beautiful, heart-wrenching, and well-written how this show, and the scenes that involved Vander-Vi-Powder (among other, ofc) really felt so personal that tears covered my face, but with a smile under them. I felt relieved, understood. At least for a short period of time, they had their reunion. And so did I, in a few minutes. Thank you so much for portraying human feelings so, so well; thank you for representing the pain, the reconcilation and the love for the ones who left us (and how much they loved and cared for us). Thank you for such emotional moments that are needed in these moments where feelings have been covered with indifference and criticism in some places.
As someone who recently been following the lore 3 years ago, I can’t even imagine the lore nerds, who’ve been following the lore for almost a decade, reaction right now.
All that tease, all those specific voice interactions, all the speculations, it all culminated to this one beautifully emotional art piece.

Damn, this music is for the sisters story, the Piltover and Zaun story, for the Medarda's story, for what Riot and Fortiche did to the audience, and for what the world has done to itself. Because, "what have they done to us", what have we done to all of us? And it's heartbreakingly beautiful!
Act 2 is definitive act for me. I don't care about anything that happens later. This episodes prove to me that s2 as masterpiece as s1.

this scene probably made me sob the most so far. It hit me so hard to see all three of them united again, all of them completely changed by tragedy and yet for a moment it looked like they could have a chance to be a family again. It was so bittersweet and beautiful. I want them to be okay

They've done it again. Another great example of how music brings the masterpiece to life.
I love that the lyrics perfectly align with what Jinx is feeling in the moment.
"Don't make me go through this again."
Jinx is afraid she got Vi killed, getting someone she cares about killed again. Afraid of feeling that guilt and pain again.
"You're not real, I can't pretend."
Jinx, slowly realizing that she might be alive, and vander is calmed down. With her history of hearing and seeing things that aren't there, reality can be volatile to her. She is afraid if this is real or not, she is terrified to get her hopes up, because of what if it is ripped away from her?
"This story is over, I ripped out the end."
Jinx gets close enough to see that they are hugging. The second she sees that, all her fears and anxiety while walking up start to dissolve. The "story" is what she built up in the first two lines. The expectation of being hurt again is being ripped from her by seeing with her eyes that she can potentially be happy.
This is the moment she has been waiting for since she went to get Vi. She probably never thought this far ahead, she likely thought that it wasn't possible to be happy.
When Vi says what she does, that completely snaps her back to being hopeful. That she could be happy and loved, despite her mistakes. Vi didnt care that she got vander killed, she also brought him back to her. I guess you could also interpret the "I ripped out the end" part as Jinx rewriting her mistake, to some extent.
This reunion is what Powder needed. We even see her cry a tear that is crystal clear, no shimmer. Powder came out in full force.
This scene altered my brain chemistry, I have never been so captivated by a moment.
I don't ever think I've scream cried like this over a show, and it continues to break me, every single time, I just know that hug was so healing, how I long for that.
I wish this song was longer. The devastation just starts to sink in and then it ends.
I absolutely adore this song. Starting off slowly, softly, mysterious. It then turns into a raw scream of indescribable regret of what could have been, an ocean of unsaid and unspoken that has now turned into an unstoppable stream of simple yet harrowing words.
Even though it's not the most popular episode, I sincerely believe it's one of the best. The expressions on Powder's face as she ignites her lighter in the dark... it's simply a work of art.
She’s holding on to the child, shaken by a sudden realization that she might have put both her sister, Violet, and her adoptive sister, Isha, in serious danger. Her eyes filled with painful uncertainty, uncontrollable fear, and glimmering hope -- all at once, all of them burning within her kind, yet broken heart, burning softly like a fleeting flame.
All those emotions mixed with throat-locking dread, then unfathomable relief, as she noticed Violet is alive, hugging the beast that was once their father, a man she has always loved but never got a chance to express her gratitude, unable to apologize for her irreversible mistake, an error that haunted her grief-tormented mind ever since.
A single tear falling down her cheek when she hears her sister’s invitation tells a story that not even a thousand words could ever explain. Her whole face shivering with volcano of bottled-up sorrow that has now turned into blissful euphoria as she realizes the world gave her a second chance to regain what she has always wanted - a loving family.
A second chance?? It was never her fault….
@@luchahn8430 Don't get me wrong; I too think she doesn't deserve to suffer, let alone her whole life. She's a gentle, kind soul molded into someone she never wanted to be. That being said, she created the bomb, she put a dangerous object inside of it-and finally, used it willingly.
Her intentions were nothing but pure; she wanted to save her friends, her loved ones. Unfortunately, the consequences of her actions led to a series of tragic events. Sometimes, even the purest intentions wreak havoc, their unforeseen consequences casting a cruel shadow on the innocent lives. She's painfully aware of that fact; she knows that her love was also the cause of her downfall, which is why unfathomable guilt burns within her soul, making it extremely hard to open up to people and to form close relationships with others.
All she ever wanted was forgiveness, and she received it. Not only did she regain the love and trust of her sister, but she also regained her father. That is what makes this scene so heartbreaking and beautiful at the same time.

This entire sequence broke me. Tears, catharsis. The girls got their dad back, at least for a moment. Heartbreaking.
They were all genuinely compassionate people who got dealt the worst hand by fate. But they both find reason to move forward and endure for these two girls.

i actually didn't like episode 4 that much. The Time jump from ep.3 was way to big imo, or at least to sudden. After all that happened in ep 3, suddenly everyone seems like a completely different person.

It doesn't matter who wins and who loses. Piltover and Zaun don't matter anymore. This moment means everything for each one of them: Violet. Powder. Vander. Isha.
Each one of them has been through a lot. Each one of them is a victim of something.
And that's what the title of this song stands for. But this hug changed everything.
During this peaceful moment, they forgot for a while all the bad things that have been done to them.
In this hug, for a matter of a few seconds, they felt safe, protected and understood.
There is no hard feelings, there is no resentment; there is only this reunion, this beautiful moment between them.
In here, in this healing moment, the World stopped spinning, the time stopped; also their worries, their sorrows. After all the struggles and chaotic chain of events, this hug truly represents the safest place to be. This warm hug in silence between the four of them embodies so much that I can not even explain it with proper words.
I can only be grateful for existing in this period of time to experience this masterpiece, this show called Arcane.
