I do not have the room/space to do long-range accuracy tests. Until I can secure a larger space, what you see in my videos is all I can offer for now. Sometimes I do have access to an outdoor secure field but it is nowhere near where I am based. Please remember my UA-cam channel is my hobby and not a business. My channel has never and will never claim to be an expert or professional airsoft product review and testing channel. As stated at the end of all of my videos.

I love this gun. I replaced the grips with pearl ones to resemble the gun of Vincent Vega in Pulp Fiction. Looks terrific!

I have bought fake pearl grips, because real mother of pearl grips do not come with the gold logo at the center of the grip..which is present on Vincent Vegas gun.
If you search on Ebay for: RESIN WHITE PEARL COLT 1911 1991 FULL SIZE GOLD MEDALLION HANDMADE GRIPS PISTOL
Then you will find the same guy (in Thailand) who sold me my grips. The gun still is the centerpiece in my Pulp fiction props collection. :)
I am planning to buy this as my airsoft pistol due to it's historical value and the memories I had with it. My uncle used to own a real steel 1911 in Chrome and let me hold it (without a mag and ammo of course). It was a joy to hold and what really sealed that experience is when my index finger got pinched by the slider and made it bleed.

+The Fast-Snail I'm American and i think everyone with a British accent sounds the same and foreign countries might think the same about us. it's just that I've never been around a British person so I can't tell if one sounds different from the other.
+Dr Cakes Yeah I get where your coming from. Also British people hear American far more than Americans hear British. I can tell a NY accent, when it's quite strong. I can tell a Canadian accent from an American one over half of the time, southern accents are quite easy to hear and that includes California. I think you would here a Liverpudlian (Liverpool) British accent being different from a London accent.

Aron Kovacs Hi, absolutely not cheap metal as far as I can see and feel. It's a solid piece and so far nothing has rubbed off or broken yet.

Evike has a US Upgraded version of this gun with a blue nozzle already in for almost the same price. It's absolutely awesome. The look and feel beats my kwa m9
At some point, you should spread the word out that there are so many upgrades and parts for we 1911 style pistols.
I have a WE 1911 MEU. I've had it for 6 years now. I've put at least 2000bbs through it.
Recently, I got some BBS and gas for it and to my surprise, it still worked and worked well.
I bought a new rocket valve and a reenforced recoil/ hammer spring set for it.
Anyway, GBB 1911s are the Toyotas of the airsoft world.
Nice! And yes as mentioned, I will be doing a follow up review on this and all the new pistols I review.

This comment may be a tad bit late, but thanks anyway Mike. This review you made helped me decide on whether or not to purchase this gun. In the end I did get it, and it’s amazing. I put some Pachmyer grips on it and it’s gorgeous.

Santiago Acevedo arango Thank you and I believe 'We' guns are very popular amongst newer Airsofters. Plus they are nearly always upgradable/compatible with the higher end Tokyo Marui internals. So yes, I would say its a good start!

Fantastic review love your videos the only problem I can see is your gloves it covers half the gun up maybe just wear winter gloves but you can do whatever you want with your reviews keep up the good work

@Airsoft Mike i have this same 1911 and i love it. Ive actually installed real wood grips from a real 1911 ! But my Q is, is there any way to get an increase in FPS with these. ? Thank you in advance. Im currently pushing 270 - 275 with a fresh new mag with gas.

If you get this gun, a pair of Pachmayr grips - they can run you about $30 on Amazon - and a silencer; you can make a Silverballer from the HITMAN franchise. Mine arrives tomorrow.

+DausKit DK Thank you! If you want a brand which is almost flawless and has excellent accuracy, reliable and you don't mind plastic, then it's Tokyo Marui all day everyday!!! If you prefer metal Airsoft guns and don't mind a challenge and eventually doing upgrades, then We-Tech, because they make nearly every pistol type you can think of and more importantly.. nearly all We-tech guns accept Tokyo Marui upgrade parts. So you get the best of both worlds. We-Tech has had a bad reputation in the past but they are improving and are more affordable. I also recommend KWA and Umarex pistols.

im a little late on this but i have one now i bought mine for 60 dollars with an extra mag and it works perfectly fine but its been used before

Unfortunately in the Philippines it does not include the extra mag. The resellers, airsoft shops, get it and resell them as separate item. #fts.

I got a problem with my 1911. its also from WE but when i gas and load the magazine up i fire it and i can only fire 3-5 rounds even tho my mag is completely full.
Any solution?

Received mine a few days ago and the silver finish is FANTASTIC! So far I've installed vintage genuine Pachmayr (non-medallion) Signature grips, a genuine Wilson Combat 3-hole aluminum trigger, and I'm fitting a pinned beaver-tail grip safety, a flat main housing as well as a host of other cosmetic mods. This is my 2nd WE GBB pistol, the first being a Sig P228... Nice guns at a nice price!
