Hooked up a UV sterilizer on my tank about 2 weeks ago and noticed the effects of it probably hours later. Water is crystal clear. Also, I had to clean my glass every other day of algae and it was getting to me. I have only had to clean the glass once since installing the UV sterilizer. I’m not sure if it will help prevent illness from parasites but the juice is worth the squeeze for the improvement in viewing quality of my tank alone along with cleaning the glass less often. That’s good enough for me. I keep a QT tank so not too worried about introducing parasites.
I don’t see a need in it at all. Cloudy water is a sign of single cellular algae in the water. Just add filter feeders or wait for them to appear on their own, it will become normal in time.

Hey BRS! Thanks for all the great content lately!! Please keep it coming!!!
Good insight, would a UV sterilizer be suitable to help combat fish tuberculosis or Mycobacteria?
I have a chocolate chip starfish it does a good job removing algae from the glass surface.
Not having to clean the glass so often is a win for me!

What's that little tool you're using to kick up the mess? Looks like an air brush tool almost. Was at 7:17
Merci pour ta vidéo !!! 👍👍👍
I have two uv-lights on my tank... I can not imagine not having them.
Which size to my reefer 350 ? how many size in let UV ? Which UV size good to my tank. Best regards
Great video!
How many hours a day should you run this for?
We recommend running a UV sterilizer 24 hours per day
If I set the flow rate of my UV to focus of pathogens does that mean I'd need a separate UV to be efficient against algae?
That's correct.
He literally explained this in the video.
How does this impact the live phytoplankton I add daily
It's probably best not to run your UV if you are dosing living organisms that remain suspended in the water column.
Which one is good for 65 gallon??
Check out the Pentair 18w sterilizer for your 65 gallon tank :)

what happened to the video about how you suggest plumbing the darn thing?
Did uv safe for coral?
UV sterilizers will only affect what passes through them, so they're completely safe for corals.
