That's exactly why started doing mod guides on my channel. Just felt like not many people do them anymore and it was needed. Without youtube mod guides I would not be in this hobby, so felt like I needed to give back.
more information is always a good thing. I like the time lapse version more as it really helps me see what you are doing for each step. As a novice modder, I appreciate your mod videos a lot. I actually used your mega lightning bow guide to gelp me destress a few weeks back. Please keep up the good work! looking foreward to the alphahawk and the rebelle revolver crossbow guides :)
Mod guide! YAY! I think that the time lapse style videos are just fine. Going over only the important details while still getting an idea of how it should work out is great. Keep up the good work!
Awesome paint job! You're most recent mod guides are pretty easy to follow actually. I like how you stop whenever it seems necessary like what locks are what, what can be discarded, etc. And fast forwarding through the boring parts like disassembly and painting is nice because I'm pretty sure most people know how to do that. Keep it up Drac!
The time-lapse segments are sweet (even the music is growing on me!). So long as you pause to explain any complicated bits or useful pearls of wisdom from your expert mind, all is good. It's refreshing to see you still being able / willing to take the majority of blasters apart so that everyone can see how they tick, especially when you end up producing wild performance and / or cosmetic modifications at the end. Much love to you and yours, Drac. Thanks for a really open and honest 2016, and I'm sure we all look forward to seeing your new adventures in 2017!
Love your mod guides, I used one for my very first mod, and still use them occasionally. ( I still watch all of them though) so keep doing it the way you're doing it! The time lapses are great
Drac, just keep doing what you are doing. It is unique and it is what no one else does. Also it is a more personal way to teach others. I am an Etsy seller for modified and painted Nerf, and the inspiration started here. I want to say a HUGE thank you, and keep up the AWESOME WORK. TB of TB's mod shop
I am liking these time-lapses instead of the bits in between along with the start and finish. The time lapse shows everything that is happening and goes a bit more in depth than before. Anyways your videos are very educational and I hope to see the same great things from you that you have always been posting.
I personally like the old style of mod guides for the nostalgia of it. I liked being able to do mods as you did in the unedited versions (I know, unprofessional for UA-cam). I've been here since the beginning though and I'll support any decision you make. Keep up the good work!
I love the way you're doing your mod guides, not too much info but still enough to know what you did wrong when following the steps, keep up the good work can't wait to see what you do in 2017!
Well ive been using your mod guides (as well as others) for a few years now. I really like this style. Just make sure not to skip any important steps (obviously) because the time lapse makes it hard to stop and see exactly what you are doing. Great work as always bro.
I only recently got into moding and find the guides of particular use. I do like the "time lapse" style when the internals are just a re-shell of an older blaster. So if it is new and truely different - a more comprehensive guide is awesome. If it is just a re-shell, a time lapse with a reference to the previous mod and feature what you would (will) do with a given blaster is sweet.
The time lapse mods guides work great if its a blaster that you haven't already done a full mod guide on. I think that the full mod guides showing all the steps is easier to follow for people new to the hobby. Love all your videos and I hope you keep making them, no matter what format
I like it when you did them more like the oblivion blaster. That was fun to watch. It got me more interested in the potential for modifying your blaster. Thanks drac
drac,I am so glad that you have got back into the mod guides.I do a lot of work with strike zone (you probably never heard of them) I mainly fix their broken guns,I do not have the money to do the mods that I would like to but if I did a lot of customers would probably be getting hurt a lot more with the limits of our arena q: I do have some neat ideas though. I was thinking that maybe I could send you some nerd guns we don't use/want, a couple I haven't seen on your channel and I've watched all the back to cooking with drac.
I think what is most helpful whenever I look at mod guides is when they do a before and after shot of the internals. so basically just a close-up of the internals when you first open up the Blaster so I know how to put them back together if I want to and then a shot of the internals after you taking out all the junk to know what it should look like without all the locks that I don't need and whatever
Thank you very much for your mod guides. As we are relatively new to nerf we really enjoyed the previous type of videos with more detailed instructions (as I m not very skilled so i need to review even those couple times). Great work and looking forward to future videos.
The style you have now for mod guides (commentary, time lapse, etc.) works out well. However, I think including bits that are more akin to your old style for more complex issues (explaining how to do a certain wiring trick or something to do with a weird gear system) would be super helpful.
I think the time lapse is good for things that are becoming common place like stryfe overhauls. But for new blasters that might have different internals, slowing it down and showing the details is useful.
I modded my Falconfire just last night. I did remove all the locks. The lock removal did not affect the performance of the blaster. Although it now has a harder trigger pull due to the stronger spring I put in.
The mod guide videos are one of the types of content distinguishing this channel from some of the other larger channels. Typically, mod guides with the full appearance finishing jobs are the domain of the smaller channels that don't produce as much content. For the larger channels like Coop's that have essentially become primary sources of income, the volume of content production is what continues to build the channel viewership while maintaining high higher levels of quality (usually through professionally produced looking, higher production values) to maintain legacy viewership. Larger channels can also review the higher end products and kits, which further distinguishes them from the smaller ones. Builds that take the better part of a week to complete eat heavily into video production time that could be used to produce multiple product review videos that can be shot in an afternoon and edited in an evening, so it's easy to see how these are de-prioritized with larger channels unless producing something that has yet to be seen or at least not on a widely viewed channel. Creativity tends to take a back seat to volume at this point. The reality is the dedicated mod community is a smaller niche market so these videos are definitely playing to a smaller audience. Coop is still producing original content like the combo and stereotype series which likely appeal to his primary demographic (kids) but the mod videos have been more or less reduced to product reviews of drop in aftermarket pieces and kits, which to the average viewer may be as or even more satisfying to see than a fully finished, monstrous, Bondo worked, one-off integration. Regardless, they take far less time to install, resulting in far shorter video production times. Ultimately, it's a matter of whether the sense of satisfaction you get doing these full mod guides can justify the amount of time you spend on them. But as long as you have the production time in a week to produce them, there is definitely a portion of your audience that is getting something out of them. So yes; keep making them as long as you have the time and the inclination.
The mod guide for the FalconFire was a fine length due to the simplicity of the blaster. If you want suggestions for future guides, mounting the camera somewhere where people can see every step clearly would help new viewers to understand where to drill out the AR. If you haven't done them already, what about separate videos explaining the different types of mods, such as AR removal, paintjobs, revolver clip mods etc.? It would be a good way to keep uploads regular in months where not a lot is happening.
I know this might be odd, but I highly enjoy the Alphahawk. Have you modded one yet? If not, I would be interested in seeing what you could do. I might be the only one interested in a mod guide for it.
Nice guide and paintjob drac! Btw contrary to what you were saying earlier, i tried removing dart door mechanism and the AR and it still seems to function and shoot well.
This really helps some of your older videos were harder to understand with out the time laps oh and drac what spring do you recommend for a Han Solo blaster
hey drac, why not do the classic style with totally new blaster/internals like the swamfire wich you only modded like two times but with like a stryfe you can do the new style... greetings from holland.
If you enjoy doing it then just keep doing it. You still have plenty more 'mainstream' videos that bring in the views to keep the youtube algorithm happy with you, I'm sure.
I like the old mod guides better. Sorry. :/. But I love your channel! I even went out and bought an alpha trooper, modded it, painted it just like you paint most of your blasters, and called it drac😂👍. Keep up the good work.
I have a suggestion could u put the blaster back together in real time coz when it's time lapse u sorta have to keep rewinding back to see the part you missed
With this style I think a full recap at the end before testing would be helpful. Everything you talked about moddding, what actually went in, what you decided not to change. Also in the time lapse, particularly with the plunger part it was hard to see what you were doing. Not very useful for a new modder. Thanks for the video though. Excited to mess with mine.
That's exactly why started doing mod guides on my channel. Just felt like not many people do them anymore and it was needed. Without youtube mod guides I would not be in this hobby, so felt like I needed to give back.
Do a video where you attempt to spin every blaster you can get your hands on.
No, please don't
Noah Smith Lol! You could injure yourself doing that!

Hey Drax can you do a mod guide for the alphahawk
It might take a while, the priming handles are a little tricky to get off
Why does everyone love these blasters? they are so impractical
Castonian a e s t h e t i c s
Is this the guardians of the galaxy
Hobbes Chan YESSSSSS
Love your mod guides, I used one for my very first mod, and still use them occasionally. ( I still watch all of them though) so keep doing it the way you're doing it! The time lapses are great

I'm more of a fan of these new mod guides, Drac. Felt more step-by-step. Looking forward to the obligatory Alphahawk mod guide!

Try to make a Rival SMG based on P90 . Maybe it could be ... Hades ?
sadly he made a pump action rival apollo named Hades. good undead though
And now we have the actual hades blaster and a perses msg rival
I like these old school mod guides. It what got me into watching your channel almost 7 years ago
Well ive been using your mod guides (as well as others) for a few years now. I really like this style. Just make sure not to skip any important steps (obviously) because the time lapse makes it hard to stop and see exactly what you are doing. Great work as always bro.
your old mod guides kept me modifying nerf blasters because they were very step by step and easy to follow what to do
I only recently got into moding and find the guides of particular use. I do like the "time lapse" style when the internals are just a re-shell of an older blaster. So if it is new and truely different - a more comprehensive guide is awesome. Do the Captain Cassian Andor blaster. It's basically a sideways jolt with a fancy priming mech and some electronics
I like it when you did them more like the oblivion blaster. That was fun to watch. It got me more interested in the potential for modifying your blaster. Thanks drac
Will you be doing an Alphahawk mod guide soon?
No Skill Included he has I thinck
the subtitles explain what was going on during timelaps was nice.
drac,I am so glad that you have got back into the mod guides.I do a lot of work with strike zone (you probably never heard of them) I mainly fix their broken guns,I do not have the money to do the mods that I would like to but if I did a lot of customers would probably be getting hurt a lot more with the limits of our arena q: I do have some neat ideas though. I love the Nerf Modded Accustrike Falcon Fire in a Red Color and it was like a Candy Cane Nerf Blaster Drac!
Time lapse is great! Very helpful when doing ones own modifications
Did this mod but painted the orange bits blue. The interior mods really improved the distance!
Thank you very much for your mod guides. As we are relatively new to nerf we really enjoyed the previous type of videos with more detailed instructions (as I m not very skilled so i need to review even those couple times). Great work and looking forward to future videos.
Wow, that looks great.
jeez drac 3:22 am is a little early to post content don't you think. ah well vampires don't need sleep. thanks for the great content!
Also 37th comment
I think your mod guides are better now, simple enough to understand with the time lapse but doesn't hold our hand.
The style you have now for mod guides (commentary, time lapse, etc.) works out well. However, I think including bits that are more akin to your old style for more complex issues (explaining how to do a certain wiring trick or something to do with a weird gear system) would be super helpful.
I'd say that the time lapses are definitely helpful. it kind of reminds me of build channels, or, more specifically, ZNA Productions.
I think the time lapse is good for things that are becoming common place like stryfe overhauls. But for new blasters that might have different internals, slowing it down and showing the details is useful.
I modded my Falconfire just last night. I did remove all the locks. The lock removal did not affect the performance of the blaster. Although it now has a harder trigger pull due to the stronger spring I put in.
for me have a closer look at the internals, always helps as well as better breakdown of the lock removals

keep doing these mod guides they are awesome and informational
you always do the best paint jobs and mods
Hey Drac, hailz from 2019! Liked your mod guide, so much. This will be my next blaster to mod!
Please continue to create and post mod guides. I really enjoy your channel very entertaining and helpful.
Mad respect for the mod tutorials. Keep em coming..
And thanks.
I appreciate the time lapse and love your vids drac
The paint job reminds me of the Nintendo zapper

love the mod guides! I use 90% of them

You say the blaster wont function without the dart tooth, but I was tinkering with my Sharpfire earlier and it works just fine without it..?
NicoLink same, actually, my friend broke mine, and removing it fixed it xD
Do a matching alphahawk
Radagast The Dank 6
U
I really like this style of mod guide!
I also tend to watch the painted mods more often than the internal-only mods. Just my preference.
I find the old way much more helpful, going through each step as it happens lets us know what to be doing when
I know this might be odd, but I highly enjoy the Alphahawk.
Great job, Drac. Love your channel. Keep the mod guides coming. How about a brass breech and a longer barrel?
Hey drac why not call the flaconfire the dracfire
golden freddy cause that name sux
golden freddy vampires don't like being on fire.
This really helps some of your older videos were harder to understand with out the time laps oh and drac what spring do you recommend for a Han Solo blaster
Just one mans opinion but I like the old way of the mod guides
Awesome mod. I really like the new mod style
I prefer the older style mod guides, where you do it by step. That's just my opinion, im loving the content either way.
Drac when is the aphalhawk mod guide
do you think all nerf accustrike blasters will be named after birds of prey?...so far we have a hawk and a falcon...
Mitchell Hogg next eagle blast
Would like to see a bolt action w a magazine from this line.
Abradolf Lincler raptors are my favorite birds of prey
Nah quadrants are waaay better birds
I seem to understand how the blasters work much more when you show us the steps rather than the lapses
I dont even do stuff with nerf anymore.... but i still watch your videos for the true quality content you put out... (+beard) ;)
I love this format
I painted my falconfire and I took out the dart tooth. It worked perfectly fine.
I got a pre-modified OMW Alpha Trooper. Gonna put the Worker stock and 15rnd. PMAG in it, You never steer me wrong. Thanks.
I like it when you do the time lapse!
Am i just really confused! So what exactly got modified??
Yes! I love the timelapse.
sleep drac
Soon, had to get this video to you guys first.
LordDraconical
Drac sleep
LordDraconical really. Get some sleep please. We need you. (Not trying to sound cheesy)
hes a vamp, he doesnt need sleep, just like me, though im not a vamp
hey drac,
why not do the classic style with totally new blaster/internals like the swamfire wich you only modded like two times but with like a stryfe you can do the new style...
greetings from holland.
The orange iron sight kills it for me
Try making a internal mag fed (similar to mega magnus.) Use the mag storage as the internal mag
is there any point moding it if u don't have a spring
I like the mod guides, but if you could do a close up on the internals, that would be nice.
What is the song that started when drac started taking apart the falconfire?
Also. Who else thinks this looks like an awesome Borderlands pistol? Seriously, a Vlados or a Dahl anyone, or even a hyperion?
Hey Drac, you should cut of the dart holder to make it look cooler.
Nothing can make it better
Love this new style of video
If you enjoy doing it then just keep doing it. You still have plenty more 'mainstream' videos that bring in the views to keep the youtube algorithm happy with you, I'm sure.
What blaster would you recommend for a first modification; I hope to start getting into the hobby (of modifying. I'm already a collector)
Tried Mavericks?
Boomco M6
A snapfire is a good choice even though I’m 3 years late
I've heard the Longshot is pretty mod-friendly, too.
I like the old mod guides better. Sorry. :/. But I love your channel! I even went out and bought an alpha trooper, modded it, painted it just like you paint most of your blasters, and called it drac😂👍. Keep up the good work.
ide put a longshot plunger tube in it, it would be magical
0:08 me every time I revolver spin anything
You should make the Bren Mark l British Light machine gun.
The lock actually isn't necessary, my friend broke mine, I removed the lock, and mine is fully functional again!
Makuta GD I removed the same lock from my sharpfire delta, still works fine and I can finally deprime my sharpfire
this mod guide was perfect
Lord Drac I've actually removed the flap on my Ionfire doubled up the spring and o rings
that is a beautiful red Drac.
Is there a video that shows how you made the deathdealer 4.0?
You should get some K26 springs they are very good and extremely powerful!
you know what would make the falconfire look really cool? hydro graphics and clear parts.
My one suggestion is that maybe you can stop a little more often during reassembly. It can get confusing otherwise.
you should try a one life one in the chamber style game in the SENC with Falcon Fires and some sort of small foam weapon for "knifing"
Did the stratobow not mod well?
Hey drac, little tip. Black outlined white letters when there's white in the background. ;)
