While Avenged is my favourite band. Shads is probably my favourite vocalists of all time, I actually quite enjoy this version. Not the same as Shadows, no but the way Myles' voice sounds over this is a great different take on it. But yeah, not the same, Matt's voice is great in a different way from Myles for sure. Both versions have their spot in my heart lol
Myles Kennedy doesn`t use lot of screaming kind of voice (sorry, I'm brazilian and I don't know the right word to describe Shadows voice), so you're right. The same way that if M Shadows sang Blackbird I think he probably wouldn't sound as good as Myles does.

Lol, people saying Shadows sings higher than Myles. Sounds like ignorance of not knowing different techniques of the voice. Screaming is different than Mixed Voice. Both use a lot of compression too. Think we can appreciate both singers in their own style. No need to be fanboys of one or the other.

Nowadays you can see slash use alternate picking and all which means he is working hard on the technical side of playing too.. Before he was a kind of blues, hard rock player but now he can shred those metal licks too ...

I love Myles and he can sing so much different styles, but on this one he can't reach M. Shadows.
