The Bills and Sabres do a great job with these embedded videos. It’s good to see Lindy wasted no time setting the tone. He’s injected some urgency into the front office and is working on injecting some accountability into the players.

I'm a sharks fan, but Buffalo is my east coast team purely because of how easy they make it to root for them through their content. They do such a good job at giving you a look behind the curtain and seeing how they're building this organization.
I’m rooting for the Sharks in the same regard. Learn from our mistakes and take the long road to a competitive team. We rushed two rebuilds and decimated our franchise.
I don't think people understand how different this team is going to play this upcoming season. So pumped for this season and I think they are going to surprise a lot of people.

So grateful that Skinner and Donny are gone. Replacing Skinner’s 20-30 goals isn’t by a single signing, it’s by a group of 12. I think also the number nobody mentions is his career average of a minus 15 - 20. So maybe, just maybe it’s more like covering Skinner’s 8-10 goals.
Nevertheless, this is a very good revamp of the bottom half of the roster. I’m intrigued to see who becomes that “clutch” player when the games truly count.
I love the embedded series. Especially at the draft. This one has to be heavily edited, because of the failed trade attempts behind the scenes. Most people didn’t expect the Sabres to hold on to their 1st round pick.
I think its unfair to say kevyn adams offseason was a waste. We needed a complete overhaul of the bottom 6. He did that. Got a veteran winger that actually wanted to come here. Zucker doesn’t put up skinner numbers but he definitely wasn’t the worst option out there. He got a 3rd line center, which everyone through out last year was harping him to get and he did. Savoie has played ONE NHL game. I personally think Adams has mostly done everything he was suppose to do this offseason.
Kevyn Adams knows just what to say when Terry Pegula is sitting right next to him. Why is it taking 5 years to build a team that is hard to play against Kevyn? Hopefully, the team is better next year.

Necas is an absolute clown . He’ll never win in Carolina 🤣. They’ve had the same team every year for the past 6 years, and they lost teravainen , skjei , and kuzy . They downgraded offensively and have the same defense / goaltending . How could Necas think this team is gonna be any different this year

Ive been saying this about the sabres roster for years now... They are soft... Very soft... Obviously players from around the league also recognize this, because in this video, Lindy said it, Lafferty said it, Aube-Kubel said it and Zucker said it... They all thought the sabres were too easy to play against. Hopefully Lindy can make them a more physical, direct team, and get them back on track. I love his point about everyone putting bodies on people. "Even the stars". That should be the "Non-Negotiable" that they are talking about.
@@abucelato All true, but they were soft 2 years ago yet nobody could stop them from scoring, horrid goaltending did them in. I hope this works.
@axe2grind244 2 years ago it was bad goaltending and bad structural defense. Combined with no physicality. They constantly lost puck battles because of it. They just had 4 or 5 players on the roster who had career years for scoring, which masked the negatives

I bet that second round pick doesn't see Washingtons roster for at least 4-5 years.. If ever. If the Sabres feel that Malenstyn brings something that this team was lacking, then there is no issue giving an "extra" second round pick for him. Its not like the sabres didn't have 2 seconds anyways and a loaded prospect pool.
25% of 2nd round picks make it to the NHL, fleeced? Thats a little dramatic, not to mention it was a bonus after the trade. Its funny how everyone has been complaining how soft we have been for years and the guy goes out and absolutely addresses that issue and gets scewered because we didnt get Ehlers or Necas who didnt want to be here. I get people are frustrated, and time will tell, but these are the kinds of bottom six players we needed. Speaking of Necas what with the whole NHL chasing him like hes Mcdavid? Beck is a 4th liner that has valuation of a 4th or 5th round pick. I have no clue why Caps turned down 17 and Beck for Helenious.

I played and at the pinnacle of the sport. However, it has just become ridiculous. It’s all about money for the league and ownership. Fortunately, most players still play for the love of the game. It’s a game! Not life! Very sad. It’s my opinion and I am entitled to it.
Adams needs to be arrested for theft & false advertisement... He has falsely called the Buffalo Sabres a NHL team when in reality we are a farm team that develops prospects until they are getting to there prime then we send them to *REAL NHL teams

Illogical statement. You’re talking old news. We WERE a team that sent off developed players. That was the fault of GM’s Murray and Botterill. Adams has corrected past mistakes and rebuilt the team phenomenally.
They have 9 million in unused cap space. They aren't doing this "now"
That space evaporates next season.
They've tried 2 big trades that would've filled that money. Both were nixed by the players. Not over yet and they can still use that at the deadline depending on where they are

Adams has done a phenomenal job. He is extremely methodical and logical. That’s what we need. Our fans just get too emotional and can’t use foresight to see how this will all pay off.

Getting rid of Adams would be a terrible mistake that would continue our cycle of insanity. What we need is our fans to get with the program and embrace all the phenomenal groundwork that has been laid to build an incredible team.

The hate towards Adams from so many of our fans is so illogical, short sighted, and one dimensional. The groundwork has been laid for this team to become great for years. It’s sad that fans will look at all the success of former Sabres and not see that if past GM’s did things like Adams we would’ve had a great team by now. Adams has literally corrected for all the mistakes of the playoff drought and built a culture that could end the real drought, the cup drought.

@dutch you’re overstating the case. The rebuild began when Risto, Sam, etc were traded out. We are starting year 4 of the current rebuild. The fan hate overlooks how this all works.
