Companies should not erase past members from previous projects or current ongoing projects. Companies spend thousands of dollars up to millions of dollars on celebrities and projects. Erasing those members is a waste of money. Plus the loyal fans want those previous members in those previous projects. With Stay Kids, it was a smart move to record previous work and release it as a complicated album with the current lineup was a smart move to make.
I think in stray kids situation , woojin was not erased completely like you can find old official content with him .. all they did was rerecord the songs which is a good move I agree ! I also read somewhere that once an idol 's contract ends or gets terminated, they are supposed to not be shown in the future content of the group . But I think deleting them from all the old content doesn't really make sense coz accept it or not , they did exist as members. ..
Isn't it normal for them to get edited out ? They are no longer in the group. Which means their contracts have ended so they're not public figures anymore.
Woojin and Jini situations are literally the same situations, personal reasons, than they quickly joined small comanys and started promotions during the time when their former members were having comebacks. Weird how still in 2023 we have no idea what happened to them but JYP erasing them complitely out of their groups was not only disrespectful but also disturbing of how fast it all happend, as if it was planned ages ago
Woojin didn't not quickly join another company, it took a year. And Woojin also was erased. They rerecord some songs, but left pictures of him on Straykids account and didn't edit him out of any content. He was even shown in a Straykids clip on Kingdom
I actually miss Garam, I do hold her accountable for the pain she caused but man I did horrible things in middle school too before learning to be better
maybe somewhere in the contracts between the idol and the company is written “if you leave or get kickt out, than we will make sure that we don’t make money with your voice and pictures anymore.” to me it make sense to delete everything, bcs otherwise the former idols can came everyday to the company and ask for money (“look your insta acc have so much follower bcs of my pics, so give me money”)
Editing out should depend on the level of the scandal. Worthy of erasure: sexual misconduct, violent crime, physical bullying. Unworthy of erasure: Verbal jokes, underage drinking, racism towards Cambodians.
To be honest: I find it disrespectful when a company, agency or label cuts an artist out of his work. Regardless of what he did, he still has certain rights. After all, he is not just a simple employee of the above-mentioned company forms. One should refrain from such and give the artist a fair chance. In any other case you destroy careers and lives! And that's not fair.
It's because Kpop fans and stans suck. They act like they were betrayed of an idol leaves or gets kicked out. They also cry whenever anyone mentions a former member and want them erased as if they were never a part of the group Companies do it so that they don't have to receive backlash and potentially lose fans and money Last everything companies do is because of fans
I know it's not possible to mention every case but I would like to point out Choi Jinri (Sulli) from f(x). It's like she wasn't even an idol anymore, despite her staying with SM until her death. Although SM kind of tries really hard to forget about f(x) in general lol
Same with ravn like the fans literally did rbw work and found the evidence to be bs and rbw just pretends he’s not existing anymore when he deserves to come back
Fun fact: 0:27 That necklace around Woojins neck is now owner by Han 😍 Woojin gave it to him after buying an exact one just like it. He called it their twin necklace Fun fact 2: After Woojin departed from the group and company, Han continued to wear the necklace 💛
I have mixed emotions ahout this. A lot of pros and cons. I think they should stay the old live/mv ect. But they should make the new one too. So people will know that this member is not anymore in group but it will be but the same time respectful to the artist who was in this group for that time ^^
True. Or they can just leave the videos and continue the future with the remaining members. I don't understand why they are so disrespectful towards former members

On garam,no.. hybe wanted to go to court with the supposed "victim" but she didn't show up. We later found out the evidences used by the "victim" were exaggerated and some were even false.
both were false. theres only proof of garam cursing at someone after they spread rumors about her friends. and the only thing that was proven about soojin is that an actress that went to school with her heard that soojin said she was ugly. she never heard soojin herself say that though.
tho it's sad to see that they completely removed garam from the documentary as if she did not exist, it's also the right thing to do because they already terminated her contract and she cannot be used to any contents as what they've said. but one thing that i don't understand is why does the trainee haruka, who participated in hybe's new survival show, r u next, was in the documentary even though she didn't become a part of the group.
I think, regardless of what the idol is alleged to have done, they should NOT be edited out of the groups' content. Especially when the alleged scandal is still under investigation. Like Soojin and Garam were falsely accused. Garam was accused by her bully who was jealous of her success.
Everyone who’s in the know is fully aware that Hybe is the king of overhyping so when it comes to editing, they can literally do it with their eyes closed
Soojin's departure still sucks but I'm glad she's back on instagram. With Garam, it sucks what happened to her but she was literally an idol for a hot 2 seconds. Netizens are acting like she's a 10 year legend.
What makes people mad is the harassment, insults, sexual jokes and death threads they were making to a CHILD over accusations that the public didn’t even giver her the chance to deny. She was an idol for 2 seconds and THAT’s exactly what makes people frustrated cause it shouldn’t have been like that and now her entire social presence has been stained for the rest of her life.

why did you scribble garam face out in red, your contenting bases off of k-pop and korean culture you should know that scribbling someone's face/name in red means death.
im not upset that they removed garam content. she was only in the group for their debut, was only active for a total of three weeks and then was removed. a lot of people were mad that le sserafim rerecorded their first ep with just the current members but she was literally only there for the debut
If I worked my ASS off to debit under a company and they erased all the proved that it exists from it and my whole existence in the group too, I would be mad af and I would feel offended.
An innocent child who defended her friend from sexual assault who then worked for months in mental and physical exhaustion to being accused of bullying and harassed online and even when she left the group she still got bullied... Yes, why wouldn't you be mad?
Probably It's just a Korean thing? There must be a reason why broadcasting companies and agencies do this. could be cultural, could be law, could be saving their image to the public eye, could be anything. But in my opinion, it stems from the citizens of Korea (netizens too) that they go as far as doing this.
From a fan's perspective, since we only know so much about the situation when an idol is removed from the group, speculations can only be made as to why their erasures are done. However, from a business perspective, there is a high chance that kpop companies have a clause in their contracts that former employees may use to sue their former companies for using their image and likeness unfairly/unjustly without their consent, especially if said former employee won't get anything (i.e money) out of their image being used. Though it's not kpop, if you remember the show Charmed, Shannen Doherty was removed after her character dies in the series. Ironically, even if she was a main character in the early seasons, not a single photo her her character was even present in their house in the show after her departure. Apparently it was because Doherty had a clause in her contract where she must get paid X amount for any time her likeness is shown in the show whether or not she still stars in it. I assume it can be a common practice in the industry, even in kpop. Also, even if you're not in the front-facing industry like celebrities, if you leave your job and your former employer used your image to continue promoting your old workplace, wouldn't you be upset and feel used especially if you don't get anything from it?
and bro it's so sad that garam was announced innocent, i alr knew she was innocent like come on bro it was her dream to be in a idol group did you really think she would do all those things just for her dreams to be gone just like that like man people accuse of things that's not even true yet and it made someone's career destroyed like that.

What really shocks me is that how normal it is to accept the artist in a scandals to completely disappear, and how the editor of the shows are expected to work their ass off to make it seems like they never even exist. Like if it nakes you uncomfortable to see a person you don't like, don't watch their content! It's not like u don't have many other occasion to see your biases in single photos/videos/shows. I feel like it's just a lot. I know a few stuff about editing, but I'm nowhere close to be a pro like all these editors. I can only imagine how stressful it must be to do all that especially in a short notice 😭
Oop a few typos:
Accept = expect

Soojin has finally started appearing in (G)i-DLE posts from major K-pop news outlets. Which is a good sign post-IG return.
Jinni, Soojin and Woojin were my biases in each of their groups, just my luck lmao 😭😭😭
Dude... All my biases get into scandals or get kicked. I'm serious, my biases include Jessica (Girls Gen), B.I. (Ikon), TOP (big bang), Woojin, Wonho, Hyuna's ex (Pentagon)😭 I'm going to stop having favorites
Garam deserves so much better…. She was innocent..
with each new video, I like the new voice acting more and more. it souns so calming
That's why a lot of people don't like it. Too calm for them. It's definitely better
It's bland and monotonous, she sounds like she's reading straight from a script with no sense of emotions or something or even proper punctuations

When you think that fans are being painted as evil due to cancel culture. Well, KPOP ent companies are notorious with canceling kicked members.
The editing on le serrafim the world is my oyster was rllt impressive like dang

Hybe did Garam Dirty :,(
Where is Kim garam now ?? I'm actually a new fan BLINK 🖤💖💎
maybe somewhere in the contracts between the idol and the company is written “if you leave or get kickt out, than we will make sure that we don’t make money with your voice and pictures anymore.”
to me it make sense to delete everything, bcs otherwise the former idols can came everyday to the company and ask for money (“look your insta acc have so much follower bcs of my pics, so give me money”)
They also cry whenever anyone mentions a former member and want them erased as if they were never a part of the group
Companies do it so that they don't have to receive backlash and potentially lose fans and money
Last everything companies do is because of fans
Some one cropped out Mashiho and Yedam out of the TREASURE 2021 Summer Camp photos while they were still on hiatus!
Yeah I remember that
this is cruel
you know how they say that the worst punishment is an oblivion
I know it's not possible to mention every case but I would like to point out Choi Jinri (Sulli) from f(x). It's like she wasn't even an idol anymore, despite her staying with SM until her death. Although SM kind of tries really hard to forget about f(x) in general lol
Same with ravn like the fans literally did rbw work and found the evidence to be bs and rbw just pretends he’s not existing anymore when he deserves to come back
He really does. Companies don't do their jobs right
Fun fact: 0:27 That necklace around Woojins neck is now owner by Han 😍 Woojin gave it to him after buying an exact one just like it. He called it their twin necklace

Youngmin from AB6ix was edited out of their video “the Answer” as he left the group right during that time.
He’s still in the mv but his part is taken out would’ve loved to hear it tho
more infos about kim woojin left skz:
- his name was not credited as songwriter/composer for re-recorded version of 4 skz mixtape songs (included in skz2021)
- youtube thumbnails from some mvs from ot9 era got changed to ot8 edited (originally ot9 picture, but cropped)
- solo posts on skz ofc insta got erased (similar to jinni)

The only ones I know but don't know the outcome was Garam and Soojin. Were the accusation proven?
On garam,no.. hybe wanted to go to court with the supposed "victim" but she didn't show up. We later found out the evidences used by the "victim" were exaggerated and some were even false.
Soojin was proven innocent as well. False accusations like the ones random people threw at Hyunjin.
both were false. theres only proof of garam cursing at someone after they spread rumors about her friends. and the only thing that was proven about soojin is that an actress that went to school with her heard that soojin said she was ugly. she never heard soojin herself say that though.
both of them are proven innocent.
*_Garam got edited out because she isn't in the group anymore but some videos of aren't deleted._*
tho it's sad to see that they completely removed garam from the documentary as if she did not exist, it's also the right thing to do because they already terminated her contract and she cannot be used to any contents as what they've said. but one thing that i don't understand is why does the trainee haruka, who participated in hybe's new survival show, r u next, was in the documentary even though she didn't become a part of the group.
Exposure. Still associated with the company. They gave her a second chance to debut with RUNext but sadly she didnt.
and hybe japan said that all the Japanese trainees that got eliminated will not debut.
Miss you 😢 much love
2:03 BRUHHH THATS ACTUALLY CREEPY YOU CANT SEE GARAM AT ALLLL
I think, regardless of what the idol is alleged to have done, they should NOT be edited out of the groups' content. Especially when the alleged scandal is still under investigation. Like Soojin and Garam were falsely accused. Garam was accused by her bully who was jealous of her success.
Everyone who’s in the know is fully aware that Hybe is the king of overhyping so when it comes to editing, they can literally do it with their eyes closed
B.I deserved better.. either way, he prevailed .iykyk
They also re record songs from le sserafims first full album unforgiven without garam
Garam's introduction video is still on hybe's UA-cam channel

Probably It's just a Korean thing? There must be a reason why broadcasting companies and agencies do this. could be cultural, could be law, could be saving their image to the public eye, could be anything.
But in my opinion, it stems from the citizens of Korea (netizens too) that they go as far as doing this.
soojin :((
The hateful comments about New Jeans have gotten worse idk how this started someone lmk
No I think that’s being a bit extreme
Btob ..ilhoon was blurred in some variety show ..
