While I can't tell for sure, the frame shutters unit is replaced by additional Gobo/Color wheels. Shutters are pretty much only needed in broadcast or theater work. For music concerts/shows, the additional effects or colors would be much more useful than shutters.
At Martin, Performance units have framing shutters and Profile units don´t.
what did you put in to replace the shutters?

no, these are moving heads. follow spots are mostly bigger and usually are controlled manually, not DMX
