I'm passing on this one. Being in my 70s, I had the albums as they came out originally, but the UK versions spoiled me. I did buy the US CD set, but purely as a nostalgia trip. The only one I've actually listened to is "Second Album."
Well, up to now I have seen several comments from the US guys mostly having the original issues from the 60s. Not being from the US nor UK,anyway,I have always taken the Capitol’s versions for not even copies but just as some compilations 0:03 of the original UKs.
I personally think living in the material world boxset is much better value for money and it was a great Boxset u would recommend people buy that over this Beatles Boxset 😊
Agreed, although I don't like the way they did paper sleeves for the records in the most expensive set since I like to take my records out of the box and put them on the shelf and I wouldn't be able to do that without them getting damaged
@ that’s fair. I bought the deluxe set because I’m not a CD person and I think that set for vinyl collectors would be better off getting you get a gatefold with that edition. Shame about sail away Raymond but it’s not the end of the world and outtakes disc is much better than on the mind games set which put me off that 2LP editon
Yeah I think if I was to buy that set now I would do exactly what you have done but I'll probably just wait a while for the most expensive one to come down in price. That's what I did for the 8lp all things must pass and I managed to get it for much cheaper
I enjoy your unboxing video! I have a theory why they included the two 1965 albums in this box set. So even though the U.S, didn't get those two albums till 1965, all those songs are from 1964. So In a way, they are 60 years old!
@@Trevornator eh it's probably just marketing from capital back in the 60's which car companies still use (car model of 2025 being made November and December of this year for example)
@@SMPandanic yeah you are probably right! I dunno, it's weird doing that to music while vehicles, it seems normal. Probably just got so used to it over the years maybe lol.
LOL! Do people really think a pair of 21- or 22-year-olds - who could not read or write, let alone score, music - could have written songs (and instant classics) such as And I love her, Here, there, and everywhere, Michelle, Yesterday, Norwegian wood, In my life, Girl, Eleanor Rigby, For no one, etc. Really....?!?!?!! Anyway, no matter what their ages, there is no way songs such as Yesterday and For no one - let alone Eleanor Rigby - were written by two guys (of any age) strumming on guitars! These songs would have to have been composed on the piano. Even a tune such as You've got to hide your love away would have to have been composed on the piano and/or violin, as rapidly becomes apparent when an orchestra plays the song (you really hear the 'musicality' of the songs credited to the Beatles when played by orchestras, and, interestingly, marching/military/ brass bands).
Very entertaining unboxing.
Thank you!
@ you’re welcome.

I have the original mono pressings of the first two Capital albums and they do not have the flip backs. That was UK exclusive
Thanks for the info

Yeah I was also thinking that. Thanks for watching!
the beatles 65' was released in late 1964 (December I think) so it's still from 1964
@@SMPandanic oh really?! Lol I wonder why they called it Beatles 65 then 😆😆. That was a major fail on their part!

Good review.. thanks.. maybe the dust is coming off your carpet? Their should be no dust from packaging
The dust was already on it when I pulled it out of the sleeve. I think it's just manufacturing dust from either the vinyl or paper sleeves

There is a guitar demo of Eleanor Rigby
I can't tell if this is a joke or not...
@@SMPandanic too long to be a joke in my opinion
