I was raised Catholic and my mom always kept her tree up until then but she called it Little Christmas and I just read about it and it fits with our Irish heritage.
For me and my family, we don’t take down or put away all of the Christmas decor until after the New Year. I tend to put away the little clutter type things but definitely leave the tree up and the lights. It’s just too dark to not have the lights up. Plus, it is now the Christmas season. It was Advent before Christmas now it’s Christmas.
I know. My mom always left her true up until Little Christmas but I chose not to do that. I decorate for January now and have a few lights so the evenings aren't so depressing.
You are so organized! That's such a great idea to make notes for yourself for next year. An̈d planning out what you will do each day! Wow! You are such an inspiration!
I wish I was packing up Christmas too. I love seeing how you orgamized everything. I hope to get started next week cleaning up but, I also have a lot of things still happening. It will get done I know! I hope that you have a great day!
Loved this video. I leave mine up a little longer. But I do like your technique of doing some each day. I start doing it and just keep going until I can’t move anymore! It is harder at 74, that is for sure!!!!!! See ya again soon
Thank you for another nice video, Darlene. You have a great game plan! We did a Beef Wellington and left some steak out on the side for them for Christmas and yes, our sons ate it as a sandwich too. They would not touch the Beef Wellington. We made them on buns just like they like. I think leaving yourself notes for next year just like you showed in the beginning of your vlogmas really was a great idea. It brought back how it was very helpful and beneficial for setting the mode for the Christmas routine. The consistency of the videos are perfect for the content in which you were trying to achieve and reach the people. I enjoyed how it all came together and how you are preparing for next year to be a success! Your organization through the years with the closets and the clothes, to Steve coming home and becoming a part of the regular family everyday house living and all the life experiences you have gone through has now come to fruition. 😉😊 I have enjoyed seeing how your family has grown and adapted through the years. Enjoyable.
I love Beef Wellington but it's such a busy time and the prime rib was so much easier. I would really like to learn how to make individual Beef Wellingtons. Thanks for sharing.
Good morning Darlene Can you tell me where you got the gingerbread muffin recipe from. The month of Dec has flown by so fast. I enjoy the cheerfulness of the Christmas lights
Thank you so much Darlene I saw them on your counter in the one video but missed if you had made them in one of your 25 day vlog . Looking forward to trying the recipe ... Praying your family will have a blessed New Year in 2025
That was great Sarah was able to getaway and spend the time with Family. You have colored a lot and remember it is your leisure time that can done all year round. You can also put it away for the next Xmas season. You have done a beautiful job on it.🌟 Enjoy the coming New 🥂 Year2025. …M♥️M of 5
I always get a lot more done, if I make list. When I feel better, I'll make a list. My husband, me and my daughter have been sick all weekend. Love your videos though 😊
In Australia Boxing Day is almost better than Xmas day… everyone is way more relaxed, enjoying their presents, eating left overs and probably in the pool/ocean 😊
The eye patches, bubble bath, macaron bath fizzies, Starbucks gift card, peppermint bark Ghiradelli chocolate bar, shaving cream and some shower scrub. It was all so useful. She did a great job.
I'm loving all these extra videos, Darlene! I've already cleaned up after Christmas, too. So sorry to see Sarah and Maggie go...please wish them both a happy new year for me! And what lucky pups, to enjoy a real beef bone for Christmas! Yum!
It may not be an exciting video, but it is a very helpful video. Reminding me to make a plan, and then seeing yours is just what I need. A few years back I started writing my holiday afterthoughts and that was a game changer. It's great to have proof of what worked, what didn't work so I'm not repeating mistakes and forgetting to do favorites. Thanks for the video.
They have really been helping me. Usually I just start doing things and get overwhelmed and just want it done but I find doing a little bit at a time helps me put it away organized.
We are Christian’s, we leave up the Christmas decorations until Epiphany… it’s been a lovely holiday season. Thanks for Vlogmas! Happy New Year!

@ Yes, must keep the pretty lights. I don’t enjoy the dark. I’d fall apart if I lived in Alaska or somewhere extremely North.

Love how real you keep everything! Just wondering will you pack away your Christmas coloring book to finish next year? tfs❤
I don't think so. I keep them all together and like to look at them sometimes.
@ I’m so happy you introduced us to those easy & bold coloring books! I love mine.. still on the first one! Thank you!❤️
Thank You for another video! Love seeing the color books❤
Maggie and the boys are so beyond adorable!!❤️🐾❤️

Can I ask you what markers you use to color? They are so bright and pretty.
I use alcohol markers.
@@APeekInside oh ok. Thank you. Do you mind sharing what brand? I have bought markers for my coloring book but they are not like that.

Can you share what your daughter put in your stocking? I’m wanting to do my mom’s next year!
The eye patches, bubble bath, macaron bath fizzies, Starbucks gift card, peppermint bark Ghiradelli chocolate bar, shaving cream and some shower scrub. It was all so useful. She did a great job.
I don't decorate for the holidays anymore, I just decorate for the seasons. It's easier to put away.
That's a great idea.

I want to try your Winter Wonderland idea! The Christmas recipe binder, too. You're so organized:)
Thank you.
