@@Chris.Brisson Did you already buy one or are you referring to the sounds in this video?. I am considering buying because of the simple fingering but have some doubts because there is no bite sensor. Would like to use it ultimately for some (hobby) homerecordings. I play guitar and song a little and it would be great to be able to add some wind instrument sounds.
@@45zapatero I'm referring to the demo videos I've seen. To me, the "fun factor" is often strongly associated with simplicity of use. I love products that don't compel me to read a 200-page user guide. If I must struggle for hours trying to configure a bite sensor to control the desired parameter, then I'd likely not bother with it.
wait... does this thing also double as a MIDI controller? Can it octave jump? like if I hooked this guy up to my DAW, I could use it to control MIDI and my blow velocity is my MIDI velocity?!?
WOW!!!!! THANK YOU, VERY MUCH, FOR SHARING THIS INCREDIBLY INTERESTING DEMO VIDEO!!!! I WILL LIKELY BUY AT LEAST ONE OF THESE, (AS GIFTS).... GREAT IDEA!!!
I think I’d class the sounds as ‘smooth’ - but not as alive as my much cheaper digital sax’s sounds. The problem is that if you make if far enough from a standard instrument, then it’s more likely to be classed as a toy… and treated as such. It’s possibly a great way to get people interested in playing and going further - but the price needs to be somewhat lower, it’s like seeing the aerophone version of being promoted beyond it’s capabilities. Having said that, if I was given one, I’d enjoy using it - but I’d have something more professional for when I get serious!
“Forget the long-gone days of beautiful brass and woodwind instruments that essentially double as works of art and could remain in your collection for the rest of your life! Instead, wouldn’t you much rather play a fully electronic classic instrument analog made using all-plastic construction and parts, and offers the delicious synthetic stylings popular in, and ONLY (that means “exclusive”!) in Sears employee training videos, mind-numbing, soul-crushing elevator Muzak, and limited episodes of Veggie Tales?!”
Needs to have more onboard sounds and to not be dependent on an app … I no longer trust anybody's apps on my personal banking and transaction device, so … No.
You can use it without the app for the onboard sounds.. For extra sounds without the app you can even connect to a vst soundbank via usb midi connection. So if you don't want it you can "ignore" the app.
I feel like they took everything from the AE-10 that was wrong, and amplified it with this one! Cheap sounds, very lousy controlling, even more unrealistic sounding.... Instruments don't sound convincing, it sounds massively worse than the AE-10. To tell you the truth, I'm genuinely disappointed! I really expected more from them! Especially after like 3 years of development! And before someone tells me that the AE-10 also costs a lot more, I feel it's massively inferior to even the Akai EWI USB, where I can at least get one instrument sounding good for live play! Despite the EWI USB being sample based, needing a laptop, and the samples and instrument itself sounds ... barely passable... it's still vastly superior than these FM synthesized sticks that want to emulate real instruments. I feel they're only good for synthesized sounds. Not for emulating a flute, sax, or other wood or wind instruments. And that could be addressed through some good engineering work!
Why so negative ? I think any instrument that can encourage people to play music is great. I am a guitarist . From time to time I record some cover songs ( strictly for myself ;-)). This may be a great tool to add some wind instrument sounds sounds using a vst.
It’s like blowing into a Casio!
30 years ago I had a lot of fun with the Casio DH-1 digital horn. It was a blast to play, but the Roland AE-01 sounds incredible in comparison.

@@Chris.Brisson that certainly makes sense ! Thank you for your answer !
can i use it with studio 1 & KONTAKT PLAYER??
Hi and thanks for sharing. Would you know if it is possible to install an external sounds software to improve the in built or roland app sounds??
Yeah. In built sounds are ugly😂
Wow, that’s cool

I'm pretty sure?
Been looking into getting on because I am a better recorder player than I am a piano player

Where is the cable going?
How to play semitones??
I think you have to stay in the preselected scales.
I believe the 2 small buttons in the middle are to flatten and sharpen
When I'm using the Aerophone Mini Plus app on my iPad, will the app's sounds be heard on the headphones I have plugged into the Aerophone Mini?
Yes, app's sounds are heard on headphones or PA plugged into the mobile device.
Do you notice any latency when using the app ( delay between the sound and pressing the actual knob ? )
@@45zapatero slight - but still very playable
@@coreyfournier149 Ok thanks for your answer !
@@coreyfournier149 Actually when I use the app, sounds come out from the smartphone/tablet that I am using, not from the aerophone...
which recorder does the fingering mimic? Soprano/ tenor or Alto/ bass?

What is this 'digital sax' you mentioned? Seems interesting!
Not ONE word on how to connect it or what kind of cable or connection whatsoever....Weird!

Lo trovi da MORESHOWstrumentimusicali
Just learn to play a real wind instrument, and use this when you have to record and do sessions in studio
the worst sounds I ever listen! poor Roland!
Quick and easy to learn? 🤣🤣🤣 so much BS here
