Oh, forgot to mention...I LOVE that pool!!! I remember seeing another vlogger stay here (or someplace similar) and forgot which hotel they stayed at with a pool like that. Absolutely love that they incorporated the pool into the cliff because that is the coolest thing ever!
Vietnam could be more enjoyable if the people didn’t throw garbage everywhere, scam, and steal. And over 90% of the food vendors lack of hygiene, so eat at your own peril. What a third world slum country.
You guys are the first vloggers to show the lotus flowers in bloom like that and it's so beautiful! I guess all other vloggers go during the early spring or winter months, which is why the lotus wouldn't be green nor blooming. Did you get food poisoning before coming to Vietnam and then got it again, Keith? Sorry to hear that and hope it doesn't impede/inconvenience your time there too much.
We are so happy we were able to show you the flowers in bloom :) we feel so lucky we got to see them in bloom they were beautiful! Yes he has actually got it in two other countries previously and we think this illness might have been caused by the next bit that was not fully healed. He is feeling much better now :) Thank you so much for watching
@@KeithandDev Awww...that sucks because if he never fully recovered, then it'll just be one continuous food poisoning experience due to immune system/stomach flora being compromised. And that must have been horrible food poisoning for it to take him down for so long and continue to linger like that. No fun when you're on vacation, for sure.
BTW, I was surprised to see you drink hot salted coffee as I think most of the people were drinking the cold version...and drinking it during the hottest time of the year, you guys are crazy! Hope you it was worth it, though, as I know many people love the salted coffee. Now you just need to find the peanut, yogurt, and pandan coffee....I think you already had the egg coffee, but not sure if you've tried the coconut coffee, which everyone loves.
Hahaha hot coffee taste better though and it was very worth it. Pandan Coffee!? Wow that sounds amazing! Sadly we missed that kind. Thanks for watching! 😊
Thank you so much :) we are glad you liked it. We were there mid June so you should be good. It was definitely hot but not anything we couldn’t handle. (Maybe get an accommodation with a pool)
You can get a 90 day tourist e-visa now. But more importantly-you should have insurance that covers you in Vietnam and pays the hospital IMMEDIATELY!! No insurance or cash to pay for operation-no treatment. Most people travelling to here never think about this, but if you get dengue, typhoid, or in an accident (some of the most dangerous roads in the world here) the hospitals will do no more than receive you until a down-payment/payment has been made. They just push your bed into the hall and wait for money or.....Also, you must have a Vietnamese driver license and motorbike insurance if you want to drive a motorbike. Have a motobike accident and injure a Vietnamese with no Vietnamese license and no moto insurance- ever watch 'Locked-up-Abroad? Chain your money to yourself, trust no one, carry a small bottle of alcohol for bites, beware of people wanting to help you. Be ready to be scammed, lied to, extorted, and robbed at any time. Do not be naive reading about Vietnam being heaven-on-Earth! Dirty, dusty, trashy, noisy and still 3rd world. Living here 22 years now. FYI.
We have travel insurance, we make sure we always do :) we use safety wing bit.ly/3qQOQDN That is also really great there is now a 90 day visa! we cannot wait to return :)
Hi! My daughter and I are going to Vietnam in October . Any tips on how to avoid or protect from food poisoning ??? Do you drink drinks with ice cubes?? Thank you !! Joni
Hi Joni, that’s really exciting you and your daughter are going in October! It’s such a beautiful country. In terms of tips for avoiding or protecting from food poisoning. We did get sick a few times in south east Asia but not so much in Vietnam. Keith got sick in Vietnam but we believe it was an old illness acting up and not something he got from food in Vietnam :). Things we would do though is, look at Google reviews when picking restaurants, we would have drinks with ice if we saw where the ice came from and ice with wholes in the middle you can tell is the manufacturer stuff that is okay. Most places if not all should use it. Those were our two big things we did. Most places in touristy areas we found were okay ans safe as there are so many travellers they make sure the food is safe. I hope this helps. :) have an amazing trip!

What are the place name where you boarded the boat..It doesn't look like normal boating place for tourists !
Its called Tràng An Scenic Landscape Complex (Quần thể danh thắng Tràng An). It is the one outside of Ninh Binh

I beleive it cost us 28$ CAD for two people, so 14$ CAD each which is 10.30 USD :)
