When I had to clean my nieces hair I gave up on the comb and just used my nails to get out the Nats. The comb did nothing. My eyes hated me in the end. Hard to see the Nats with her hair color but she was a trooper and let me ocd them off her head. Lol No more lice though after that. Could not imagine having to deal with such long hair. It is beautiful though. The way it was comb made me cringe. Detangle starting from the bottom not the top. Damaging to rip her hair like that at the bottom. To beautiful to treat so harsh.

You do know lice are actually attracted to a clean scalp. The oil also makes the hair slick so the lice can’t grip well making it easier to find them. Oil has been a readily available treatment for nits for many many years, same with mayonnaise. India is also a 3rd world country and most of its population does not have great access to clean water. How about instead of making ignorant comments like “you should was your hair better” you appreciate that she’s trying to get rid of them.
