Hello Mr. Matthews. Its nice to hear from you again, I hope you and your Family are well. Samsung and LG need to stick to making televisions. Here is one for you. I purchased an LG refrigerator from HD a while back and one day the fridge quit working, and ofcourse the warrante was over about one month prior to this malfunction, so I called a professional to come and see what the problem was and repair it, welp, guess what? Its wasn't repairable. There was a $25 dollar part that was used to sense freon pressure or temperature, cant remember what but, the device was installed in the upper back side of the fridge, and encapsulated in factory expansion foam, then the factory spot welds the back pannel on the back side of the whole unit. Guess what, it wasnt accessable or replaceable, the wonderful folks at LG couldn't have been more useless than they were, LG pretty much told me to go pound sand, stack bricks, cry a river, build a bridge and get over it and just about any other cleche they could think of...🤣👍 So I had the pleasure of loading up the Nearly "$4,000 dollar" fridge in the back of my Pickem up truck, and off to the nearest recycling yard we went. Thats my story and Iam sticking to it. Ill never by anything from that manufacturer again. They need to stick to televisions. Take care Mr.Matthews. 😏👍
Yes, Eric, I agree. It's one of the things I like most about my bus, everything is/was rebuildable and often with simple over-the-counter parts like O-Rings or homemade gaskets. But, the days of rebuild or refurbish are behind us sadly. It is infuriating when you can't make an inexpensive repair on such a large ticket item. Sorry to hear about your fridge. But, it was good to hear from you anyway. All the best!
I purchased it online, I think on Amazon or maybe Appliance Parts. com. It's a little hard to get and a 3 week delivery from Samsung. Cost a little more but had it in two days.
