I took the first part of a therapy training today. There were words thrown around like cisgender & much talk about personal biases and diverse cultures. What was interesting was that there was much more emphasis on these issues placed today than it was several years ago. I was also amused about there being a. couple of middle-aged people like myself with their pronouns listed. I know they're trying to help make other people feel more comfortable, but it still feels off to me.
This is all so cathartic to hear, I have been questioning, understanding, and fighting the Social Justice aspects towards education for years, and I am glad that I am not the only one to see that. Its hard to be a good student in a system that caters towards unsactimonious behavior so much, and that makes me afraid of my future, and also very concerned for my wellbeing Also thank you to Dave for sharing me this video, I am curious what roleplay games you play, I am a magic the gathering person myself and play a lot of games!
You energy together is wonderful. It is refreshing to see people being able to discuss topics with depth as well as curiosity, understanding and empathy. Almost impossible these days . Great work!
Because of this poisonous, evil brainwashing occurring in higher education, my son and family have chosen for him to forgo college. He’s not STEM-inclined anyway, and most of what you need to learn can be found online or in books. He is already studying some business, financial education, entrepreneurship, sales and negotiation. His future is bright with no student loans or bs shoved down his throat.
1:02:58 it's having two completely different conversations using the same language... their words mean something different. Its the hook... then, when questioned, they try to bridge the gap between their meaning and the generally accepted meaning by playing additional word games and making it all abstract. They are trying to reel you in when they do that.
@aaronkindsvatter5615 I've nibbled at that hook a few times so... 😆 thankfully, I am a curious person and like to think about how things work and progress and try to see reality as it really is, not how I want it to be... woke makes some valid points, but struggle to bridge that gap between the problem and the solutions they propose (a lot of their solutions dont directly address the problem). Having faith in and a genuine relationship with God also helps.
Super important topic, thanks! Look into the ideas of Erec Smith, rhetorics prof at York College, York, PA. Good vid interview with Stossel about 5 months ago.
I believe a major issue in college is that people go without a clear direction. They go for the "experience". This has allowed those faculty members with a secondary objective beyond their field of study to indoctrinate students in political ideology. The more someone stays focused on their direction the less likely they are to be subverted by these people. Though as we have seen the Far Left is relentless in their attempts.
It is a part of human nature that people enjoy & seek to feel superior and better than other people. Currently its not fashionable to do this about race, sex, religion, etc (fixed traits we do not control - hardware issues) - these versions of this behavior are not socially acceptable anymore, and you will be considered a bad person by modern standards if you engage in this type of thinking for those reasons. The desire and impulse to engage in this behavior does not disappear, but the avenues to express it are becoming more limited to things that 'are in peoples control' (software issues) - it has channeled itself into a avenue that is socially acceptable - politics for example, and you get things like 'woke'. It is entirely socially acceptable to look down on other people and see yourself as superior based on political views, & it appears to me that is at least a large part of the underlying motivation for a lot of these people, given a huge # of them have incredibly shallow understandings of many of these beliefs they are seemingly so passionate about - yet will condemn other people over not sharing these same beliefs at the drop of a hat.
Regarding the point about purity and scapegoating, I kept thinking Rene Girard. He is a modern prophet and his work on sacrifice and scapegoating (with Christian conclusions) deserves to be better known. Luke Burgis is one of the best contemporary thinkers whose work is informed by him, he would make a good guest.
I don't understand why you can't just point out the two dimensionality of DEI and how it limits our understanding. The "whole" person being constructed of so many dimensions that to pick on race, or sex, at the exclusion of class, family dynamics, height, right handedness, disability, personality type and so on and so on is a gross insult to the individual. The idea that "Equity" is based upon blanket assumptions about the causes behind disparities in outcomes. And the weakening and narrowing of interpersonal understanding caused by shielding people from counterveiling perspectives. Surely you can simply agree with, but point out DEI is deficient in not going far enough in its depth of analysis? Ending up with the liberal revelation that the individual and their context is so complex that the only valid level of analysis is the individual?
Almost all of them are nothing more than commissars, almost none of them are teachers, almost zero are interested in students opinion, unless it's multiple choice box ticking which is not opinion, they've destroyed it, for people that hate religion academics sure love the pulpit preaching personal opinions is utter abuse IMHO
Here is the answer to the problem of WOKENESS: If a university or a corporation is WOKE, do not give them your money or your time. Find non-WOKE colleges and universities if you want a good education, and likewise, do not accept employment from WOKE businesses.

The use of the term, evil, for the nature of the _id_ (literally, _the it)_ is at once confused and correct. Freud described this primitive portion of the mind as being a cesspool of drives used to sustain the entity's existence, and for survival. With time and experience, the secondary processes of rational intelligence guides these lower energies. What, then, when the rational intelligence is used _in order to_ release these chaotic feelings? Here, the word _evil_ is indeed appropriate. When the id is guided for positive service to others, it need not be so placed. Allow me to get a little esoteric here for a moment. I shall quote that holy book of our era, the Ra Material. (Ever wonder who built the Giza pyramid, and to what end?) The topic is on the chakras, and how the negative path uses them in one manner, the positive path in another manner. _"It is correct that the negative will use the three lower centers for separation from and control over others by sexual means, by personal assertion, and by action in your societies. Contrary-wise, the positively oriented entity will be transmuting strong red-ray sexual energy into green-ray energy transfers and radiation in blue and indigo and will be similarly transmuting selfhood and place in society into energy transfer situations in which the entity may merge with and serve others and then, finally, radiate unto others without expecting any transfer in return."_ The negative path uses the red orange and yellow rays for the purpose of separation; which is the very essence of negativity. The positive path uses all of the chakras, dismissing none, in an even and fashion. When the kundalini, if you will, reaches the heart chakra, the entity is truly human, for this is the place of universal love without judgement. Jesus was the manifestation of such love. The negative path, in order to maintain separation from others, uses the centers of survival (1), of growth (2), and of social relationships, especially in a collective sense (3). Do you know what the word left literally means in latin? It means the sinister side. Since the time of einstein, we tend to think that spatial locations are relative. But there is such thing as absolute left, or leftness in itself. There are two sides to the force. Like in Star wars, Darth Vader turned to the dark side. The word right has clear positive connotations. In kabbalah, the left side the side of separation. The right side means to adjunct. Or, "make right". Namely in a universal sense where everything is taken into consideration. When you understand this process regarding the chakras, you see that people in the critical Justice side are literally being evil. There is great temptation in it. Certainly, projection outward is a primary tool, or weapon. The thing that is always projected is guilt. The ego believes that if it can project guilt on to someone else, then it is innocent. Another weapon, is of course, anger. So do wretched shrieks in the night serve the function of death. The point is that in critical theory, the negative Stan's is made into an high art. I am sure that many of them are as gnostics and are knowingly on the path of separation. That about exhausts my small point. There is a way to understand this phenomenon from a spiritual perspective. And I think it's important, because it's the big picture. A true master of separation, by the way, uses the Tree of Life intentionally. You should know that there exists texts with exercise is given for the elite to increase their negative polarity. Regardless of one's political affiliation, what such exercises and philosophies exist on the side of the "right" ("good")? Are there rituals? Is going to church on Sunday the entire extant which could be practiced? Etc
THIS. This is what we need. Thank you Benjamin Boyce, Aaron Kindvatter, and David Tomasi. We need to take back our education.
Thank you, Professors, for standing up for the truth and protecting students.

Odlicno!
This sounds like it should be required study as a class in high school. Colleges is a HORRIBLE choice for 90% who attend.
As an adjunct, I agree.

You can not argue with DEI, you can only minimize or avoid.

Pill pockets! That’s our whole election system in a nutshell. The “I care about people” pill pocket versus the “I love freedom” pill pocket

A very good point. A cult-like behavior does not distinguish between groups of people. In Freudian terms, a projection.
