from a logistics, engineering, and art preservation perspective, i find this quite amazing. as a long time fan of Banksy and street art, i find it offensive to cut out a wall to remove art that was a gift to the public. this isnt about saving street art. mathematically, 100% of street art goes unsaved. this is about taking something that was made for the people, and making it into a single, private, valuable piece owned by a single person. this is the bloody hand of capitalism, wrenching something that belongs to the people.
@magdielmagos5959 fair enough! If it's gonna be demolished, than I suppose it's reasonable to save it. But if you have to get permits, consult architects, talk to brick layers and welders and every other tradesman to remove a public wall, that's the universe telling you something.
It feels wrong to me, taking what an artist put in that spot and that neighborhood and taking it to some spot for presumably paying customers. I get it, it just feels wrong.
WHY? just leave it where is was. It's not fine art. It's street art and was put in that location for a reason. Not so some rich guy can have it. If it gets destroyed so be it. $$$$$

I agree with you but that second wall was attached to a building set for demolition so that was the only way for the public to keep viewing the art.
@@magdielmagos5959 what if supposed to be that way ??

Right? totally removes any and all of it's original value.
Thefuq, "Fine Art" and banksy
This man is suggesting we use tax money to preserve this "art"?🤣
