Hi team! 💜 If you're in Melbourne on 24 June 2023, and want to meet up with other cool planner people, we're heading to Endeavour Hills Library from 10:30am - 3:30pm 😄 All good if you can't make it along for the whole thing, but would be great to meet you if you can make it! We have an event set up for it in our Discord: discord.com/events/768737171325583361/1106090841694543886 And the library has an event listing too: events.ccl.vic.gov.au/event?id=18839
I'm so glad you said that because it always struck me as odd because I'm normally very big on centralising "properly", just not when it comes to the cover page 😝
Great job on July, Jess! The black and white theme after colorful june is right on time. Impressed that you pushed thru your creative block and filming hiccups because those things were minor in my eyes as you still did an awesome job😃♟️
I actually kinda love the voice over, I always feel like we get more behind the scene info and a bit more insight into your life and I love those details 🥰 Also the chess theme is so pretty 😁🎉
Thanks! 😄💜 I’m starting to prefer more real-time as it’s an opportunity to show people how long things really take me and be a bit more instructional at a pace that’s easier to follow, but I’m glad there’s value in the voice over style too 💪
I hope that you will be gentle on yourself when it comes to creativity or a slump. You have produced entertaining, motivating, creative, and supportive videos in the past few weeks that I have benefited from.
I’m glad you’ve gotten value from them 😄💜 I think part of my creative slump is coming from working on too many things at once 😝 so hopefully making the changes I’ve got in this setup will help a bit 🤞
I love the look of this! I feel like you're setting a mini trend in each of your every day BuJos this year with a cool monochrome theme! I'm also very impressed you pushed through all the hiccups; my rage in this situation would have consumed me!
I love this monochrome set up! I've been bullet journaling for 6 months now, and it feels like a good time to do some serious reflection on how it's been working for me - I downloaded the checklist you provided the other day in one of the 'basics' series, and will be working through it this coming weekend before I start my July set up ❤
Well done on identifying areas to cut back on when neccessary as sometimes we still try to still mark all the things off when it doens't make us feel good about ourselves. That rotated calendar...love it!
thank you for awsome videos! feels "nice" to know that other ppl can feel down and talk about it and still create awsome stuff! keep it up and keep the videos real! take care!
I really enjoyed this month's setup. I struggle with color combinations (my aim is 'artistic' but it usually looks more 'circus') and this simple grayscale is something that would be easier for me to duplicate.
If you want to rotate the calendar back for next month, you can always combo sat/sun (or split the last box in half horizontally) and have 6 boxes across
A cool idea! I like to have my weekend days split just cause I normally have a lot of day-specific things happening, but that system could work well for someone else 💪😄
the calendar is breaking my brain a little but it's amazing! I love this theme, so glad that you were able to be creative on a level that worked for where you were at the time!
YOUR CALENDAR BLEW MY MIND. I abhor rotating my journal, for anything really. But I often wish I could have a calendar with the bigger boxes this layout allows. I will absolutely be trying this in July. I don't know why it never occurred to me Edit: I have a feeling this is going to be *great* because I've been really focused on planning at the week level lately so a column per week will be really nice.
When you are doing reflections looking back over a period of time longer than a month, do you ever look for patterns in your behavior? Or ask yourself why certain activities are or are not getting done? I find those to things useful.
Great job, and the struggle was real with getting the decorations to work! How are you feeling about using the travelers size journal? I’ve never tried one, as it just seems to narrow for how I tend to work. Do you think the size difference has made spreads you prefer more difficult, and some easier? Curious about your experience with this size.
I'm enjoying the challenge, but I'm certainly missing my A5 😝 At this stage I'd be less inclined to use a travellers size again for an everyday journal, but I'd totally use it for something else! 🤔
@@JashiiCorrin Yes, I don’t think it’s for me, either…it looks like maybe a good format for keeping lists? Not just to-do or the grocery, but maybe lists of places you’ve visited, books you’ve read, idk. I know some people absolutely love this size (and I’m glad there are sizes for everyone) but I can’t really think of how I would use it.
I don't know how you manage the meal plan page😅 I need a whole line just to write the "planned" meal... I can't fit that on a third of a page like you 🙃
Awesome theme! Quick question: how do you calculate how many pages you’ll need for your daily logging between setting up for the next month and the rest of the current month? And if you’re wrong, where do you put the extras or do with the empty pages?
I look over the previous pages for the month and see roughly how many days I've been able to fit in every 1-2 spreads. From there I can make a pretty good guess as to how much I'll need. If I underestimate, and need more space for dailies, I'll just start putting them after the new month's pages 😊 Time time around though, I left some extra space for a mid-year check in and goal setting. Those pages were approximated by looking at how many I used for my Quarter 1/2 check-in and then adding an additional spread as this check-in will be a bit more in depth 💜
Glad you liked the theme! This washi is some I've set aside for this specific job 😊 it's part of a washi stash of tapes that don't stick so well, or I don't like the patterns of, that I've picked up over the years because they were parts of sets, etc. I do use a new piece each time, just as the coating on the tape makes the water-based ink of the Tombow bead up on the surface; if I were to use the same piece it's SUPER likely that I'd just end up smudging that excess ink onto my pages 😝

Oh, interesting.
Central cover page elements slightly above centre - I completely agree! I'm so glad it's not just me!

Aww thank-you! I'm glad that the filming issues in particular didn't detract from the setup video 💜
Loving the minimalist, monochrome style of this layout.
Thanks! I'm enjoying it too 😄💜

Love the theme. The monthly layout with the weeks in colomns... 🤯! Love that!
Thanks! I'm hoping it will give me that ~calendar feel~ that I'm looking for 💜🤞

I'm in a creative slump too--or I'm in burnout. One of them. The chess theme is still really cool though!
It's hard to tell between them sometimes, yeah 😅💜 hope we can both get out of them soon! 🤞

Haha thanks 💜 I certainly felt the ragey-feels 😝 I'm glad I didn't let myself give in to them too much 👏
My July theme has a similar color scheme 😂 Summer has been busy over here so I decided it is what it is for now. Printables are a great idea. ❤
Heck yeah for keeping it easy 💪

Oh nice! I hope the checklist helps 😄💜 and mid year is a great time for reflection 💪
I love the printable. It's like stain glass. I use alot of add ins like that in my bujo! ❤
I want to do a stained glass window theme so badly! 😄💜
@@JashiiCorrin that would be awesome. Very long time though 😂

Glad you enjoyed the video 😄💜 I feel it’s important to let people know that sometimes I’m on the struggle bus too 👏
The rotated calendar is so cool! Took a minute for my brain to understand what was going on, but it is really neat!
Thanks! I'm hoping it will give me the "calendar feel" that I really need 😝👏

I love a good monochromatic scheme! Same for gradients of a more ~colourful~ colour too 😄💜 Glad you liked it!
💜 I love the action list. 💜
It’s a must have for me 💪

Thanks! So far so good with the calendar 😝 I’ve been able to catch myself before writing things in the wrong places, haha

@@JashiiCorrin My journal just got delivered this morning too, so I know what I'm doing today 😂 Excellent bujo inspiration timing
Love this!! I’m now thinking about which month I can do a chess theme of my own!
Aww yay! 😄💜 I’m glad you liked it

I do, but not in the most formal sense. That’s something I’d like to get in a better habit of doing 👏
Amazing, like always!
Thanks 😄💜
July its mine ❤.I loved this Bullet Journal.
Thanks! 😄💜
Love it!!
Thanks Anita! 😄💜
