I 100% resonate to everyone pertaining Dinner Table Syndrome in that video. I sometimes look back at my experiences of growing up in the family and feel from time to time that I figuratively speaking felt that I was more of a family pet than a family member.
In my experience, they (hearing) don't think about us (deaf). My family is hearing and they get irritated when I constantly question...and my family doesn't know ASL. My lipreading is great...but my brain hurts most nights.
