Hello ! You two did nothing wrong. Totinos used to be amazing, but like a year ago, they've drastically changed their pizzas, and not for the better. First of all, you noticed the cheese, it doesn't melt, no matter how long you cook it and it has a strange texture when you eat it and secondly, the crust isn't as good as it used to be. It used to be more bubbly and was airy and flakey. You'd take a bite and little pieces would break off. Now, it's like you experienced. it's horrible. Lastly, the sauce isn't what it used to be. It's a shame because I've eaten and enjoyed that pizza my entire life and now, it's horrible. I reached out to them to complain about what I mentioned and I didn't get any personal reply, they just sent me coupons for some free pizzas 😂😂
@@NicksHappyPlace WOW what a shame, I'm picturing some big corporation bought it and decided to make changes to increase their profits! Thank you for the information.
@StevesRealReviews Yeah, it surely is a shame when you take such a great item and totally ruin it. I actually did a Google search and I've found a post on Reddit with people saying the same thing that we've noticed. I don't know what they were thinking with that cheese. Like you say, perhaps they sold the brand name to someone else because it's like everything had changed with it. I know General Mills was the owner of it. I'm surprised neither of you have tried Totinos before. It's too bad you didn't get to try it the way it should be. Keep up the great videos !!!

@StevesRealReviews You're very welcome ! Pizza pockets used to be good, but it's been quite a while since I've had any. Tony's is a classic pizza, as well as Red Barron. Always love them. There used to be another pizza similar to Totinos, called Jenos. I've eaten many of those growing up 😁😁

He places each pizza on their original cardboard to cut.

I just commented on the Tony's pepperoni as I was eating it. Then saw this video. I used to eat Totinos pizza in the 70s when I would cook it when the folks went out to dinner. It came in a box and was round. I won't eat one nowadays. As you said, the cheese doesn't melt, no taste. For a buck n a half more, get a Tony's!

My friends and I call these "crack pizzas" because, yes, they're addictive. I realize not everyone thinks so. But I love them and eat them to this day. Just had one over this past weekend. As for the cheese not melting, that's normal for these. But let's face it... they're cheap. You get what you pay for. And, for me, the addictive part of these pizzas is the crust. I personally add stuff to mine, like diced onion and/or bell pepper. You can always add extra cheese as well. As for the pizza rolls, don't bother. They explode and the filling falls out everywhere during baking. I don't know if you have Kroger stores where you live, but the Kroger brand pizza rolls are SUPERIOR to Totino's brand. They're delicious, they get nice and crunchy, and they don't explode. PS - the reason the crust on yours was so hard is because you overcooked it. Try cooking it a little less time. With these pizzas, there's almost a 'science' to baking it long enough, but not TOO long.
We over cooked the pizza "trying" to get the cheese to melt, which it never did. I have been told that they used to be alot better than they are not sadly. You cooked it too long, that's why the crust is hard. I usually cook mine on the rack.
The combination pizza is the best out of them all.
So weird your cheese didn't melt though 😐
We cooking it longer in hopes that the cheese would melt, but it never did, that was so strange!! BUT we have two left and we will try them again this week? Do you have any tips to get the cheese to melt, or maybe it doesn't? Thank you for your comment!
@StevesRealReviews yeah, I have no idea why the cheese doesn't melt on yours. As mentioned I usually cook mine straight on the rack (I believe that's mentioned in the directions?..maybe I'm thinking of another pizza lol). Anyway, just keep checking it toward the end so it doesn't burn 🙂.
YOU over cooked it. 14 minutes is fine. The crust on these is pretty tasty. The cheese is just blah. These would be great as Mexican pizzas ! Add cheddar , peppers , olives !
YES, we were TRYING to get the chesse to melt - LOL. Why didn't the cheese melt? I've heard from others that it just doesn't melt, Is it really cheese? Thank you for your comment!
these were great when I was 8. when you try pizza rolls, don't expect alot better. they have nostalgia factor but not much flavor.
OMG, I've heard from many people about how good these used to be, but over the last few years something changed, the cheese, the sauce, it's not the same. I imagine the 'recipe' changed to cheaper ingredients to increase profits? Yet decrease sales, not sure that adds up?? We did buy the pizza rolls, do you have any suggestions for cooking them or reviewing them? Thank you for the comment!
The cheese they use is not good...cheese should melt as well as butter
We did know why the cheese wouldn't melt, is it REALLY Cheese? LOL, Strange for sure - Thank you for your comment!
It’s not real cheese it’s artificial.
I can't doubt that for a second and that would explain why it DOESN'T MELT!!!! We have over 50 pizza videos on this channel and have never ever seen that before!! Thank you for your comment!
@ thanks for the review. Imitation mozzarella cheese: Contains water, vegetable oil, modified food starch, potato starch, gelatin, rennet casein, and artificial color
@@kevinhullinger8743 - I was also thinking sawdust and plastic!! LOL - Thank you for that information!
@ 🤣
Dude, I'm sure you've heard this before, but you look like George Conway, the political guy.
And, I bought some of these pizzas over the summer to try them out. I wasn't a fan.
I get compared to people all of the time, but never George Conway before, I'll have to google that one - This was our 34th Frozen pizza video we've made on this channel and it ranks way down the list, hope you saw that in the video! Thank you for your comment!
I admit I like cheap pizza.
For cheap pizza, I do like Tony's or Tombstone onsale for sure! Thank you for your comment!
I do too ! Just not ELLIOS - it tastes like Wonder bread.
@@LannieLord We've never had an ELLIO's pizza before so I just Googled it and don't see it here in the NW, If we ever see it, we are going to try now! Thank you.
