- Fr. Paschal Uche was born and raised in East London. His parents nourished the roots of his faith right from a young age through daily prayer. However, he didn’t like the idea of being a priest. But growing up through the struggles in life, his love for the Lord grew, and a supernatural desire to do something for God awakened and grew stronger, and the worldly desires naturally fell away. A rare opportunity to address Pope Benedict during the Pope's visit to the United Kingdom impacted him to pursue the priesthood. In his pursuit of happiness, Fr. Paschal realized that being a priest is the root God has chosen for him to fully become who he’s called to be in a way that gives Him glory and blesses others.

A Nigerian descent young guy with football skills and you abandoned football which could have easily propelled you to become rich as a professional footballer. To ignore riches in football and listened to the voice of God to become God's servant really means a lot. Per the video, you have passion for football and anybody who follow football closely will testify that you would have become a good footballer for either England or Nigeria but riches in God's vineyard far exceed that of football. I have tried 8 years to show my partner the beautiness of Catholic Church and love of Jesus Christ and i couldn’t convinced him.
Few months ago I took him to the Holy Mass you celebrated and that have changed our life for ever.
He wanted to come to the church more and more hoping to see you there and finally he said I want to know more about your religion and what this "guy" is talking about.
And that's how his beautiful journey of founding the God started.
