I am a bit late, as always... but I hope that you are still in a Valentines mood!
I want to show you my Valentines Day project, but with a little more dark vibe to it.
Hope You will like her as much as my other, cuter dolls! I know she needs that :P

Something about the way that her eyes seem to be glazed with the pain of betrayal... you pulled this wonderful piece of art off, and even though the work was tedious, you didn't give up!! This is amazing:)

this is literally my favourite doll EVER. It's an art sculpture at this point! I have no clue as to why your channel isnt as popular as other more mainstream doll creators, your so talented!
I am here since November and it is all new to me :) I am over the moon with every single one subscriber! ^_^
I think it will grow with time. I watch a lot of these type of videos from Dollightfull, Doll Motion etc. Then UA-cam recommended the Mermay video and I had to subscribe once I watched that. All these creators are amazing but the artistic style of Catmeleon is my favourite.
I love the simple fact that you didn't hold yourself back from showing how "colorful" an artists' creation process can be.
By the way, this is love at first sight!🖤

My husband was like "are you suuuure you want to put that in your video?" :P But that is the whole point for me! I was watching a lot of doll customization and cosplay videos and it all looks so neat and easy to do (I am not saying about painting or sculpting skills, but more the technical process), and when I started my first project I was shocked that even removing doll's head and hair needed time and strangth XD So I am showing here that the process may be a little hard and frustraiting, but at the end it is so totally worth it and sefl rewarding ^_^

Time lapse can always give the impression that an artist's creative process is just a walk in the park but its quite the opposite.
I know you put so much effort in what you do and, showing the world how hard it is puts us all in awe and inspire us to discover our creativity as well.

@@chadbassig9801 That is my goal here! To see more doll artists in the future becouse they won't stop at "that person did it so easily and it gave me such a hard time - I quit!". Everyone is going trough the struggles, we just don't see it usually :)

I love that you use your dental tools/skills to craft with. There was another doll customizer I watched who used her nail drill, acrylic for nails, and nail polish to craft her dolls with.
That is the best thing in home crafting! Look around and you will find something to work with :P Do you remember the artist name maybe? :)
@@CatmeleonStudio Might as well use what you know! I've never seen anything like that gray dental wax you used and the plastic to keep the mold contained is brilliant.

@@CatmeleonStudio I can definitely see the inspiration from her! Not many doll customizers do "statues" like her. I see more who keep the mobility and sew clothes. Not saying one is better than the other I love all doll customizer content.
@@Kiputytto_minis I love watching articulated dolls and doll figurines. I chose the second option, but who knows? maybe one day I will make an articulated doll too? :) I have 3 or four bigger MH dolls for example and I think they will look weird as a figurines :P

Thank you! I think that everyone have to deal with frustrations from time to time while making art :P It is a part of the process for me :D That was exactly my goal - showing people that it's not always fun and easy and done in a first try, and it is not a reason to quit :) just to keep on trying!

Thank you! I am so happy to read this :) It was a hard project (well... like all my projects for me :P). I think it is good to know what you can achieve.... and always trying to push yourself a little bit further :) I knew I could do the lights and the resin casting - just didn't know how jet :P I am glad that you like the wax dropping technique! It is always fun to create art stuff with a non-art tools :D
imagine if for a Halloween video there's a 2nd version of here where she comes back as a ghost to haunt the lovers of Halloween night. (also i love the doll omg shes BEAUTIFUL!!)

I love that you have shrunk the head, I always thought those dolls didn’t look proportionally correct. She definitely looks so much better afterwards!
Yeah :) It's still a little bit to big but way more proportionate than the original size :)

Absolutely beautiful! I love that you left in the cursing and frustration and aggravation. Also, I think the smiley lips kind of work... it make it seems like -- even if she's in pain -- she's glad that her heart is ripped out because it's the source of her suffering

There are actually very few dark and sort of gory doll coustimizers, so I like this change very much!

I feel with many people a lot of the time they don't understand what the artist is trying to say about their character or creation. Most people just look at what is obvious, They don't try to see the deeper meaning behind the character or art.
Every art has a small or large story in it, The artist took the time and effort to make something that was made in their minds, And bring their characters/art to Real Life!
And in way their giving life, To what they have created!
Artist leave a story in their art, For themselves and for others to enjoy.

I just found your channel last night and have watched all your creations. What I loved straight away was you showing your fails (the unequal holes in the witch doctor cheeks right at the start!) and "just get it done!" style. What a great attitude and lack of fear showing when stuff doesn't go according to plan
This lady is FANTASTIC! Your use of work tools is so clever and I'd never considered doing stands like you do. I'm halfway through my first customisation and you have been so inspiring, I'm already wishing I'd done a few things differently. Next time I will! 😁👏
So happy that you appreciate my approuch! I think it is important to show that we are all human beings and our creative process may be full of mistakes and fails :P What is the most crucial is to keep on trying :)
And about your first custom - I have some regrets after every repaint :P 1st- I could choose less boring pose, 2nd - I could detailed the armor a little bit more, 3rd- their skin colour, of course..... and with this one - I forgot to blush the body befor making the black streams XD
loved watching your process. for that wire spool, throw a large wide rubber band around that spool. it will keep it from unravelling and you can still pull the wire from it.

I am enthralled by your vision. Having said that, I suggest that at some point in one of your future creations that you play more with movement by reversing gravity. How wonderful you make feeling come alive...or dead.

WOW!..this is the most Fabulous face paint I have seen yet.Those eyes look so incredible they draw you to her face ,the realism,in showing the red waterline and shading is ..well the best eyes I have seen on a re paint yet .You put so much care and attention into every piece of thick piece of art from the top to the tiny candles on the box...I was glad my daughter was up before you finished so I could show her .I love this ,part because of the attention you put into it and part because it’s the most fantastically detailed Re paint I have ever seen 🥰
