@Anime JT I mean right now I moved back in my parents house after a nasty split from my ex. That is a difference. Yet. My sister married lives 20 min away from us. My mom is demanding and expecting my sister to constantly call and be there for her. I mean my mom could do nothing without her. I was like, you need help. You need to be more independent and not so dependent on people. I told her that it just became another set of drama. It's like my mom's codependency escalated.

her stylist didn’t pick it, she did. She thinks it’s cool and ironic to wear ill-fitted ugly-colored suits. That’s why she always wears ugly sneakers too. She’s afraid to embrace her beauty because of some weird complex she has of thinking she won’t fully measure up if/when she tries, and also she wants to make sure that she can always fall back on victimhood and act like she’s somehow not accepted because she doesn’t meet the typical beauty standards, when she actually 100% does, she just chooses to wear stupid shit on purpose. Gotta keep the victim card handy.

So true!!! Im 26 still living with my parents. My father constantly nags abt returning home by 9 pm. That's d curfew! Every time I go out, he will ask where am I going like I owe an explanation.
But having said that, don't u think that sometimes as much as independence and freedom and responsibility living on your own gives you, it also takes you away and little weakens the bond with your parents who have spend their entire lives to raise you and sacrifice for you. I think there should be a balance!

Hey Lilly. First off I am so happy you have your own show. As an Indian woman, I'm 23 and living in a rented room in a share house away from family. I moved out when I went to uni at 20. Despite some people thiking I am alone and uncapable of looking after myself I actually feel freakin free and alive. Independance has never felt sweeter and I thank my mum for supporting me with my independant choices. I am now graduated waiting to get a better job so I can get that own house without so called "marriage". Woots ! I keep encouraging other young women from cultural backgrounds to try it because it is the best gift you could give to yourself in your youth. And yeah, I agree with you. Love you superwoman.
