You give me great hope for my 5yo mare. She has so much energy and is always 'on'. I have had troubles with her respecting my space and relaxing. Unfortunately she is the only thoroughbred at a quarter horse barn and i have heard comments about how crazy she is. But, i refuse to give up on her. Your videos are so helpful- thank you!!

I have owned and worked with many horses like that, so I understand how you feel. Our relationship with the horse is definitely a large piece of the puzzle, however there are other environmental factors that need to be in place for horses like that. Let us know how things go!

The incremental changes are great. What I have seen with OTTB’s they are not taught ground manners. Just enough to get them out of the box and have them drag you to the track. You are starting him from square one….great job…

I appreciate the ongoing commentary and how you change your intention based on what the horse is communicating - for example, "I don't want to touch him," but then you did to redirect the forehand and get his feet moving. It helps to see and hear your interpretation of what he is experiencing and how you work to interact with that.

We think about the phrase “adjust to fit the situation.” We really appreciate you watching and commenting. Thanks!
