  • Lake Lochloosa Crappie fishing in Florida. We set off to take a father son trip and we had a blast and lots of memories were made. Great lake great fishing. We didn't get much at all on video for several hundred reasons but we got some and were gonna be thankful l for that. The bites tuff with the storm that rolled through the night before and the cool weather alone with a full moon but we pulled it of and will be back. My son hated to leave but he had church and that to me was more important than another days fishing an trying to get a better video. I'll have a much better one up hopefully in the next couple days This is more-less a very memorable trip for me with my son with some of our moments fishing being caught on camera. When i say cameras weren't cooperating. They just weren't hitting on much. Lots of footage didn't record. I'm reformatting sd cards and hoping that will fix some of the issues we were having. This is for sure a meat hunting freezer filling lake. We got a chance to talk to biologist and FWC an got some really good info on lake that we share at end of video and also got a deer back safe to land and away from the dogs. Thanks for watching and the next video will for sure be one to watch as we head back out for some slabzzzzzz.

    Enjoyed the video Gator. By what i have been seeing, you can catch the fish in almost any body of water. You will never regret taking the little fellow fishing and he will remember those trips with his Daddy as long as he lives. I'm 64 years old and i still remember the trips like that with my Daddy.

    Nice video, it’s pronounced Lock Loosa. They catch some good stringers of specs and a few really good bass each year.

      We had a blast. Little man caught one for the wall and I got to meet a lot of great folks and wife an mom wants to come back. They’ll have a blast there catching fish an being able to eat lunch an do it all right there at landing. That’s the way to go there. I got educated a little while being on the lake also. That was interesting learning about the lake. I’m trying to get my as cards readable so I can really show off some fish but until they get it figured out it’s on to the next spot. I appreciate you. Thanks

    I have noticed that when you go, try a new lake, shortly after you see other UA-cam of people fishing the same lake. Looks like they are fellowing the King.

    This is my home lake. To do the type of fishing you’re doing, the few days leading up to the February full moon are key.

    • @gatorsoutdooradventures
      @gatorsoutdooradventures  Рік тому

      Yes the fishing should be getting even better. If that rain hasn’t messed up the fishing there. Not sure how bad them rivers muddy up that lake.

      @@gatorsoutdooradventures you ought to come down just in front of that April full moon. The Shellcracker and Bluegill are bedding in the pads. Live grass shrimp are the ticket. You’ll get a few Specks mixed in there with them too.

      @@gatorsoutdooradventures PS. On Lake Marion Santee Cooper, if you had to pick the best season for numbers & quality for crappie, Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall, which season would you say is the best? I'm an old bass & Bream fisherman. Never done much crappie fishing. But I just retired. No more public job. Working a little for myself here & there mounting some fish. Maybe sometimes in the future we can get together & you can teach me the art of crappie fishing. Two things I love to talk about. Fishing & the Lord.

      @@ronbennettoutdoorswildlife1514 year round on Santee for crappie. If I had to pick I’d say from Oct to March ShellCracker season April May Them bream June July for sure. April May you’d hurt yourself catching them Shellcrackers here. That’s an awesome fish to catch pound for pound. The strongest flat fish my opinion.
