I'm so sad all these gay Korean UA-camrs need to censor their faces. Makes me think of how lucky I am that I live in a place where I don't need to be afraid of people finding out about me being gay. But it's also good to see change is happening in Korea in this area. Keep sharing your story, it will surely positively impact that change.
Do they censor their faces because they are afraid people could find out that they're gay? I've noticed many Korean and some Japanese gay youtubers dont show their faces but I never realized that could be the reason... Really sad :(
@@klaudiagalos5462 Korea is very conservative still. If you are outed or come out you can possibly lose your job or your family members and yourself could get harassed. Most of the population say they support LGBT rights but they said they would never want their kid to come out to them.

I myself live in a homophobic and conservative country but having to cover your face is on a different level... I hope things will get better for Korean LGBTQ+ people soon
I did wonder why part of his face is blurred out. It's strange how there's an area in Seoul that has a "gay" street (can't remember what it's called exactly) yet there's still a prejudice about LGBT people

I actually cried after the trainer admit he knew YJ was gay. I mean he don’t have prejudice because YJ was not giving him bad vibes during sessions. Although he is really good-looking YJ maintained professionalism. Same with trainer, he never jumps to conclusions, but instead he evaluates YJ as a person and how was his behavior - not how he is sexually oriented.
I hope people will be more like trainer, to know people of who they are not what they are.

I think it’s great jay’s slowly opening himself up to the people around him. Having a strong and safe support group is important to LGBT individuals. Hopefully one day he finds the comfort to be true about himself, no matter where he is or who he’s with.

Honestly I was kinda stressed about this trainer videos series cause I never felt comfortable sharing that side to mine for fear it’ll cause unnecessary friction or discomfort, my first trainer found out after I was sorta forced to come out to one of the other trainer at the same gym and thankfully nothing negative resulted from that, but the fear of being discriminated against was always there. I’m glad he was able to accept who you are ❤️❤️❤️
