Isn't the correct comparison to the 6M by John Deere, the Kubota M6?

Faded paint comes back to the colours make up. So Yellow Orange and Reds that use a lot of oxide to make them will fade quicker. There are types of paints that you can apply which will hold its shine and colour. I used one of these products in Fiatagri terracotta colour, which is notorious for fading, and 10 years later used in Australia’s harsh environment it held up beautifully, the paint outlasted the decals. The cost to use that paint was considerably higher than the main stream paint system, however I think it actually worked out cheaper in the long run, especially if you wanted the same look from the other systems, you would probably end up repainting the machine every three to five years.
It’s just that manufacturers try to keep the cost down on production and choose mid spec paint systems.
