First thing I noticed when I bought my first set of stabilizers with an extension too was the mass of the bow, My bow arm delts and traps started to burn just from holding the bow all the time, it got so bad, that I used to flip the bow upside down and rest it on the longrod while I took a breather.. Its a lot of weight to keep held up with a tiny set of shoulder muscles, I never got into resting the bow limb on my leg, it just never wanted to stay there, It would slip off or just feel uncomfortable.. I would argue that the weight of the bow was harder to overcome than the draw weight, I found that it definitely affected my shots.. While it was supposed to stabilize my setup it actually brought me back to the same place without them, This was also with the lightest set of weights on the bars.. Bow mass for me was a real issue.. When the arm would start to fatigue I would notice the traps would start to raise, fighting gravity..

Yes, mass weight can be an issue, and it sounds like it may be related to the way you set the front shoulder.
I recommend you watch the below video, and let me know how you go with it:

    1. Great video on a 'complex' step in the shot cycle. ( since the athlete cannot observe their own backside )
    2. It is a compilation of videos along Wilson's learning process (using different bows/setups)
    3. Video from the backsides shows 'tilting' of the bow ( positioning of the head ?? )
    4. Re: Draw arm elbow motion path: How is it affected when operating a 'parallel' draw (you/Kang Chae Young) vs a 'tangential' draw (Brady)?

      Thanks Harry!
Great observations, I have a couple of thoughts.
The bow tilting (cant) should only be addressed once we sort out any postural issues first. As you can see, there is some postural sway in the video and so this is the priority.
      4. Is a great question. I've covered it in my online course but I will have to do another video on it as its a great topic. The short answer is, the elbow path is the same, it's the line of the wrist that changes. I'd also add that the clip of me that I used to demonstrate is probably not the best example for your question, and I'll get a more recent overhead clip to demonstrate properly.

This was the front view of the same day shot of the back and draw side in this form review video. ua-cam.com/video/C2VN3GrCYm0/v-deo.html still had head movement although not as drastic but the jerky twisting of the torso was problematic as it lead to the head and hip movements. Took a vid today after working on a more slow and controlled raise and pre draw and it's helping a ton. Cut down my head movement pretty drastically! ua-cam.com/video/Wezi2IJb4sI/v-deo.html

Really appreciate your video here. Question about your first advice to put the limb on thigh before raise the bow. I shoot with square stance, when put limb on the thigh and raise the bow, I find my aim is far right hand side to the target and I have to rotate my body to the left, which is quite unstable. I’m not sure which part is wrong and hope there’s anything you can advice on me. Again really enjoy your videos❤.
