Wow! This Dart monster is a 1968, note the round marker lights on fender. All '68 Chrysler products had round marker lights. I'm a proud owner of a ''67 Dart GT, currently under restoration, until the $$ runs out !
Very cool. I'm the owner of a 1968 Ford Fairlane. My dad owns a 1970 Dodge Dart. Same all around body, with sorta an ugly nose and rear. It has a 528 Hemi in it. 5 speed transmission. Dream to drive.
jim f I have a '72 Small block Dart and a '72 GTX clone with a poked and stroked 440 that is now a 12.5:1 all forged internals, internally balanced 528ci. One of my cousins just dropped $43,000 into his '68 Dart! Haven't seen it yet bit there is a car show this weekend that I'm supposed to meet him at and get to drive his Dart in the cruise afterwords!
Man that is a mean Dodge. I thought my '69 GTS with a 440 and a 4 speed was mean, (and it is!) but this is several levels beyond. Mine is black also so this car is very close to my heart. Love it.
Darts are my favorite car I had 4 one a 67 with a 273 -4 speed and a 68 - 340 6 pack and 4 speed, a 69 340 automatic and a 71 with a slant 6. My favorite car was my 1968 dart, just love the Bullitt market lights
Pete Farber ran a sick D 150 that was lime green and ran low 7's/hi 6's in the 1/4mi almost 25yrs ago. He kept breaking transmissions though. It was awesome to watch it run though. All the aerodynamics of a f%cking barn door and still ran like hell! Reminded me of the Wild Bunch and the stuff they ran.
Im sorry but i just can't get behind an eighth. That car is sexy as hell. I would love to have it in my garage as a sunday driver. Scare tye neighbourhood
If you mean 1/8 mile most “fast” cars 4sec and under run 1/8 bc the speed on a 1/4 would just be insane. Those cars are already into the 200mph in a 1/8
@@jakethesnake121394 i disagree sir, never think double in terms of speed and distance. Speed is not a problem compared to acceleration. Because unless your car itself is unsound in the geometry, or a freak track occurence, gust of wind and sand etc etc, if your car got up to 300mph, if, then its a sign that everything should be ok in relative terms, because it couldn't get there if it wasnt sound to begin with. I don't know the purpose of 8th mile exactly but I used to run in the fives and it's a blast because you literally accelerate hard the whole way but then again same in a quarter mile but the car has to be dialed in better whereas eighth Mile you can grip and rip five different ways do not have to be so precise to get pulled back in the seat and just have fun with it because if you're going to be competitive then that's a whole different story and I'm not an expert at shaving hairs and basically finding an edge upon edge that is basically cheating because if you don't the other guy is in any way it's kind of gay.
@@FIVE-0-APOCALYPTO speed is the problem when you hit a wall.. or try to slow down on the big end.. it takes a lot more to stop from 300mph than 200mph.. Cool car! I had one just like it years ago. Except mine was green, a '62, a 4 door, a 6 cyl, a 3 on the tree and it was a Ford Falcon and it wasn't actually mine. Otherwise, identical.
Dilithium Crystals typically means there's a supercharger present that has a "blower" aka throttle body jetting out of the hood. It forces air into the engine more air than it would take in natually aspirated

Good grief - can't see the tree, can't see the whole run, ET not mentioned. Video does not do the car justice....
Holy Fucking Shit did you see that thing take off?!?! Gawt Damn!!!
1/8 mile = 1/2 of a race.
Now that is a B.A.M.Fer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
id love to have that thing on a friday night and just cruiz up and down main street! could you imagine that at a stop light next to you? lol
what a monster.
It sounded pretty healthy.
GOTTA run 1/4 mile NOT 1/8. I’ve seen other videos on this car. Dude drives it on the street👍👍👍
Can't imagine the fuel mileage street driving. Can you imagine putting snow tires on it?
It would have been nice to see it move downtrack instead of the back of the bald guy's head.
Marlon Medina yea he was anoying
NOW that’s one bad dude ! 😊
Yeah it would have been really nice without that Fast and Furious ricer wing on the back of it
How many ponies is she putting out?
That amazing when they do a burnout and let off the tires time delay squill..!!!
❤☆
HOLY SH*T! Thats a mean BEEEEATCH! Some body said it was Lame???
That 318 sho sounds good mane
That car takes of like a dart
Where the hell is baldy walking to?
This Dart does a faster one mile burnout than my Honda does a 1/8 mile stop start!
Thats because its a Honda 🤢🤮
i don't know why they are happy and whooping. Its rather spongy good but bouncy bad at launch point, but goes real straight. Thats a good sign.
Where the Buick Grand National now ???
